I hold the phone in my left hand and would like to be able to reach back key with my left thumb. The current location of the back key is on the right side and my thumb can not reach that far causing two handed navigation.

OK, so this is annoying me. If my phone is flat on the table, and I ever so slightly press the screen or soft keys on the left side, the screen has a tendency to switch to landscape mode as if I fully tilted it that way. It only does it on the left. I can almost tilt it completely to the right before it switches that way. Now if I hold it vertical I have to literally turn it all the way on its side to switch to landscape, but like I said, if it's just sitting flat on a table it just likes to switch so easily. Any other like this?
Does anyone know if I can actually keep the on-screen / virtual / software buttons to the bottom side of the phone like phones with hardware buttons? or in a longer explanation:
If I hold the phone upright, the buttons stay on the bottom side of the screen and phone.
If I rotate the phone 90 degrees counter-clockwise, the buttons moved to the current right side of the screen (bottom side of the phone) and icons rotate.
If I rotate the phone 90 degrees clockwise, the buttons moved to the right (top side of the phone) and icons rotate. <- I want this to change, where the buttons would move to the current left side of the screen (bottom side of the phone)
I'm using Galaxy Nexus stock ICS 4.0.2, not sure if it's addressed currently (by a setting), in 4.0.3 or if there's a mod out there. It's a big issue for me and possibly all left-handed users since I can't access those buttons while holding the phone sideways.
This is my first review so please bare with me.
Pairing is simple as one can see from the screenshot. One just turns the keyboard on and presses the lone button on the back to start the process.
The keyboard is solid but light. I feel like I could carry it around in my pocket without worrying about it being damaged and have been doing just that for the last week.
The keys are firm and make a nice click when depressed. It really reminds me of the keyboard on my old Droid 3 just with a different layout.
The layout can take some getting used to at first and isn't the best I've seen. Some keys (such as the period) are only able to be typed by holding down the Fn key. This is ok in most cases as the Fn key is positioned on the left with most of the buttons that need it on the right. Similarly, the shift key is on the right but it's not sticky. This leads to a bit of reaching when one needs to type !, Q, or A.
The backlight is uneven but perfectly usable and the backlight button is positioned in the top left corner of the keyboard and is easily located in the dark.
I hope that I've covered everything but if you have any questions just ask. This review was typed in full using the keyboard and my Galaxy Nexus.
Does anyone know if there is an easy fix or a rom etc that has the volume buttons flipped around?
I am finding it infuriating, when in portrait mode, it's fine, the top button puts the volume up, and the bottom button puts it down. Rotate to landscape which is how i like using my tablets, and they stay the same meaning that you press the left button for the volume slider to move right (up) and the right button to make the slider go left (down). It is a stupid oversight. Up should be up and down should be down. It's like trying to comb my hair in a mirror!
+1 I also would like to swap the volume buttons.
wow, really? Might as well have plus and minus buttons like Apple
I noticed this as well. It doesn't bother me, but if a fix existed, I'd use it.
I'd like the back button to be on the right side of the screen instead of the left.
