[Q] Accelerometer acts up when phone is flat on table - Defy General

OK, so this is annoying me. If my phone is flat on the table, and I ever so slightly press the screen or soft keys on the left side, the screen has a tendency to switch to landscape mode as if I fully tilted it that way. It only does it on the left. I can almost tilt it completely to the right before it switches that way. Now if I hold it vertical I have to literally turn it all the way on its side to switch to landscape, but like I said, if it's just sitting flat on a table it just likes to switch so easily. Any other like this?

Any other methods to turn the screen on??

Is there is any other way to turn the screen back on other than pulling the stylus, hitting the power button or sliding the keyboard ?
I'm wondering if there is any software that turns on the screen by shaking the device or by any other means like holding it upright or tapping on screen you know??
The button on the top of the device?
well I'm still not used to holding it in one hand and try to reach the upper button with my finger, even the back cover slips off sometimes when I'm pressing the button. They should have picked another position like the call button maybe, something easier to reach.
I use a software to turn off the screen by putting the device in my pocket upside down, I found it so practical. but couldn't find a software turns on the screen yet
Maybe you could try this.

screen shut down when dialling out...

how on earth do you activate the screen? not sure if it is normal, but when i make an outbound call the screen shuts down, and no matter what buttons i press the screen doesn't come back. i guess it makes sense that the touch screen is not on when it is pressed against your face or ear, but i would just like to know how to bring the screen back as it is not all that obvious to me.
shake the screen
The proximity sensor is at the very top of the screen, near the top left corner. Normally, this dims the screen when you hold the phone to your ear and talk. Make sure you are not accidentally covering that spot when you grip the phone. Try calling a number and covering/uncovering the top left of the screen, and you should see the screen come on and off as you do this. There is a little delay, so don't expect instant results. If the delay is more than a second or so, something is wrong. If you are sure you are not covering the sensor and the screen is dimming unexpectedly, the phone is defective and should be returned or exchanged. The screen should always come on during a call when the sensor is uncovered, to allow you do dial additional numbers, hang up, etc.

[Q] [Pro] How to make it easier to wake when keyboard left open?

Is there any app or mod or rom that will give the following behaviour on an Xperia Pro?:
With the physical keyboard slid open, and after the phone has been left idle for sufficient length of time for the screen backlight to turn off, I would like to be able to wake the phone by pressing any key or by tapping the screen, bypassing the screenlock.
My previous non-Android keyboard slider phone has that behaviour, and I found it very useful when leaving the phone on the arm of a chair with the keyboard slid open so I could just pick it up and use it. As I wouldn't put the phone in my pocket with the keyboard slid open, I'm not worried about accidentally activating things.

[Q] Keypad keys fell off - how do I put them back on?

So a couple buttons on the QWERTY keyboard fell off, the E and the R.
You heard me - they fell off. Like... the silicone contacts and stuff underneath are fine, but the black buttons that has the key letters and stuff fell off.
I want to get it back on but I'm not sure how to make the buttons stick again. Is it a simple adhesive or do I need to insert them back in some way? No matter how much pressure I try to put on the buttons they simply fall out again.

[Q] Accidentally putting calls on hold

I love the Note 5, but I keep accidentally putting calls on hold when using it in the "traditional" way - putting the phone to my ear.
I've discovered that somehow the screen is coming back to life while I talk - and I'm accidentally touching the "On Hold" virtual button on the call screen in the upper right corner.
I feel a bit stupid even posting this, but the Note 5 is my first Lollipop and phablet experience. I don't remember the "On Hold" button even showing up on my GSIV call screen. Could it be a proximity sensor issue?
Has anyone else experienced this and if so, is there a fix?
Yes, your proximity sensor may be defective. My screen stays off when I hold the phone to my ear.
As a mitigation, you could try keeping your fingers on the side of the phone, off the screen, and lower than where the hold button is; also, hold the phone at an angle, with only the top edge held against your ear.
I have the same problem...the proximity sensor is fine, screen does go blank when on call..but nearly every day, maybe due to angle I hold phone which makes it think I am not on the phone! It keeps going on hold. Any way to resolve? Or any workarounds people have done? Really annoying, sometimes happens 2-3 times on the same call!!!
I am having the same issue. Any fix for this?
Could glass screen protector be causing this?
