[Q] Few questions on Modem and ROMS

Before I installed Darkside I rooted original 2.3.6 and backed it up with Rom Manager. My question is this right now I am trying to get to that original ROM I backed up and there is no problem with that other than I did flashed my modem as instructed in Darkside info. Now do I just restore from recovery menu or I need to restore + flash modem that I had before (btw what modem was there to begin with I do not know) And second thing about Darkside. Right now I see Darkside and Darkside evolution 2 so .... is it same thing ? Cause I was with Beta 2 ..then 3 then all sudden I see beta 4 yet it's Darkside ... not Darkside evolution 2 ... and on top of that I see 3 different modems to choose from ..... getting a bit confusing for me ....
All I want is my backup of rooted original with original modem on my device for a day or so ....then I'll go back to Darkside craziness I just want to test if my games will play better and battery life will do the same.
If my post a little crazy sorry I just all confused now.
P.S.
Is there a way to get original rom that I have backed up to look like ICS ..with Apex may be ? And I just love lock screen from Passion ICS ... how do I make one for my Galaxy S II T989 ?

First off, there's a q+a section, so post your questions there from now on.
I restore backups with different modems all the time; just make sure you are reformatting every time you flash a new rom. run this zip before you flash or restore

One more thing if possible. I am with ATT is there a modem that will work "better" with ATT or they are all the same ...and if they are why there is more than one instead just collectively agreed on one to use.
And any info on that ICS lock screen from Passion ICS anyone ? ( how to get one with T989)

After you flash the Super Wipe, Flash Kernel Cleanser, then flash the ROM.

After you have all the files you need on your SD Card...
1. Reboot to recovery.
2. Do a NAND BACKUP.
3. Flash Super Wipe.
4. Flash Kernel cleanser.
5. Flash Radio if needed.
6. Flash ROM.
7. Reboot.
Some ROMS needs to reboot again after 10 mins so read carefully.

Yes you Wipe Data/Factory Reset and Wipe Dalvik-Cache..
Restoring a Nandroid Backup
Step 1. Boot up to Recovery with VolumeUp+Power.
Step 2. Select Wipe then Wipe Data/Factory Reset and Wipe Dalvik-Cache.
Step 3. Press the VolumeDown button on the side of your phone to go to the first menu.
Step 4. Select Backup/Restore
Step 5. Select Nand Restore

[Q] How do I flash a radio?

I am running CM9 and I was looking to switch to the Blaze 4G radio from the LC8 because I am not getting 4G. What are the proper steps to flash a new radio? Would I need to reflash the rom? Or do I just install the radio without doing anything before hand?

Just flash the radio zip in cwm recovery and then wipe cache using darkside cache wipe zip.

No Data AOKP

I'm having trouble getting my data to work with the AOKP ROM latest.
For some reason this is the only rom that does not give me data.
These are the steps I have taken.
1. Darkside Super Wipe
2. Install Rom
3. Install Gapps
4. Darkside Cach Wipe
Another attempt
1. Darkside Super Wipe
2. Tmo UVLE1 ICS MODIFIED RADIO
3. Install Rom
4. Install Gapps
5. Darkside Cach Wipe
Same attempt as top but instead Tmo UVLC8 ICS MODIFIED RADIO
Tried to install Radio after rom
Tried resetting VPN
Tried pulling battery
Nothing seems to work and data just does not work. Is there something that I'm missing?

Try using the TLLE4 radio instead and see how that works.

i did the same TLL4 radio but now i cant hear any one and no one can hear me -_- i hope that this radio switching problem get solved

Try installing the radio before you super wipe. I had the exact same problem and the telus radio worked, but I got the LE1 radio working somehow..

[q] problems whit frostyjb 4.1.1v7

I flash this rom FROSTY JB 4.1.1V7 for my s3 for tmobile and i use cwm recovery v5.5.0.4 to flash i do all the step wipe factory reset,wipe cache dalvick to and flash the rom wipe again and fix permission but when i check the band base still in t999uvlj4 dont change to t999uvli6 any advice for that

Frosty doesn't include a modem. You have to flash that separately if you want to change it.

[Q] Infamous S2

I wanted to flash Infamous S2 so I used the Infamous Cache Wipe Tool and then the Infamous Super Wipe Tool and then flashed Infamous S2. It was on the loading screen and booted up about three times then the screen went black. What do I do I was so confused about how to flash this rom.
