Has anyone else noticed that the pictures taken with the camera that are seen in the gallery are a bit washed out? it seems that when i take a picture its bright but when i go and preview the picture its rather dark and dull.
anyone know how to fix this?
Check ur screen brightness...its just that when u view the picture the screen brightness becomes low....dont worry the picture is as perfect as you are...

Greetings everyone! I have to say I'm really loving this phone so far! But has anyone noticed that right after you take a picture it looks great while still in the camera app, but when you click on it and it opens in the gallery it looks really grainy/darker etc. Wonder why this is?

When the camera app is on the screen is at full brightness by when you switch to the gallery the screen dims back down hence the pictures looking darker

Also when you view it gallery you might need to give it a little longer to load. I've noticed that the pics look a little blurry/grainy when I first open the pic, but if I wait a few seconds it sharpens and looks good. The brightness can also play a big role.

or if you have Chainfire 3D installed it may change the textures
Does this just happen when you take a picture with the front facing camera does it vertically flip the photo meaning the inverse? Thanks

Naturally, it's the natural image that camera takes the pictures. Most of cameras have the function to reverse the image, so the final image shows the objects just like what you see. If the image from your camera is inversed, then it means that something has been changed on the camera option or intentionally not reverse the image.
Very old camera shows the image like that...
I changed no options is this just something the device does?

Which app? do you mean Stock Camera app?
[Update] never mind. I just tested it out and found the issue in here.
The stock camera does not reverse the original image even it shows reversed image on the screen.
So, one step missing on front camera app. This should be fixed on next version....
During the time, if you need to reverse the image, there's a workaround. Go to the photo editor and select the image taken from front camera and apply the 'reverse' by clicking the arrow icon heading left side....
Thanks very much just making sure because I was like why is the image flipped!

Hey guys,
I bought a galaxy nexus with jellybean 4.1.1 but I have problems with the camera. It takes pictures with an obvious green tint. When I play around the settings it makes it either worse or not but still has a green tint. Also I cant even record videos because everytime I want to start the camcorder application it crashes. I upload a video to show you guys my problem. I really hope its not a hardware based error.

am i really the only one with this problem?

If it is the stock gallery which you are talking about than it is a bug. I have the same issue.

That's probably because the pictures aren't in 16:9 aspect ratio.
If you took them with the camera app, the default ratio is 4:3. Note 2's screen is 16:9.
You can change the camera's ratio in camera > settings icon > resolution.
Can't find that in settings and it is stock camera app doing my head in
I have black spots appearing on the camera and in the photos I take. I tried tor remove the screen protector and wipe the camera, but it isnt doing anything.
Are these on the picture while viewing on phone or on the pictures on your computer as well? I think it just might be black ink blob problem that most galaxy s3's suffer from because of the super amoled display.

the pictures have the spot as well as the camera has the spot on it. when I move the camera, the spot stays in the same spot.
