How do I reflash the One V stock rom? - HTC One V

Hi,
since my phone has caught some error I want to completly reset it. I can not reset it to factory defaults, since it crashes before. So I just want to reflash the stock ROM, my HTC One V came with (oh, and I do not have the file, which is an unbranded German stock ROM, it shipped with). How can I do that? All I find on the webs is how to flash custom roms and too the device. Mine is not rooted. Thanks.

Sorry, you are,of course, right! I did search the forums, but may have used the wrong words. I found out later.

What is exactly the difference between Clockwork Mod recovery and Amon_RA's?

Are there any differences between them?
If so, which would you prefer?
Thank you.
I use ClockworkMod for the sole reason that it is the recovery used by ROM Manager.
Up until today I couldn't see a difference and I was using Anon RA or whatever, but I tried flashing two roms this morning and received an error on each one and couldn't flash, but clockwork was able to. Not sure if it's a good thing or bad thing yet.
Will be following this thread...
ok... i mean really. did u really think this thread deserves to be in the development section and not the Q&A section? please post in the correct forum. i move 10+ of these threads daily. it is obvious that all u were posting was a question. what better place to post a question then in the Q&A section?!
please post in the correct forums and use the search function before posting a new thread. on that same note u can always go into the thread (in this case amon recovery or clockwork recovery threads) and ask the question.

I posted there for this exact reason.
Look, you moved this a couple of hours ago and still have no response.
Also, I have read the threads and couldn't figure out the difference. Evertime someone asked their post was ignored.
Sorry for the headache though.. but the results are far less here.
Well post in the proper thread and u are likely to get results. Either way ur thread has been moved to this section as this is where it belongs.
Clockwork mod will be supported by a single click install being developed by unrevoked. Promises to be a "run a binary" with code that does adb things, on any of three prevalent platforms.
Here's a teaser.

I use Amon_Ra on the Hero. It's great.

Okay, so other than that are there any other real advantages?
I like Clockwork right now as it works with ROM Manager and in the near future unrEVOked as well. Seems like all the updates come to this first.

[Q] Can't Flash Custom ROMs

I got my Desire today and rooted it using Unrevoked. I tried flashing a couple ROMs and I keep getting Status 7 errors, something about bravo, I dunno. I tried flashing different radios then the ROMs again, still no luck. Any advice?
Is this because it's CDMA? I'm confused if it is. Is there a ton of GSM ROMs and very few CDMA ones or something? And why isn't there a CDMA section if so?
Well, that was the case. Got a CDMA CM 7 ROM to run. Back to the other two questions I posted above.
Please don't post the same question in multiple posts
Try searching list of cdma roms
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=809328
I didn't? I said I figured out my problem and then said I would like my previous questions answered.

Yea, I got no replies there and thought this would be a more correct place to post it. Are you intentionally trying to come off as an ass? Please don't come in my thread posting off-topic stuff that does not help me in any way. Thanks.
In any way other than your edit telling me to search.
So pointing you to a list of CDMA roms was not helping you?

Yea, you give me that list after you edited. Before that all you were doing is being an ass.
1. I did search, here and all over Google. Nothing directly answered the question as to why I was getting the Status 7.
2. I doubt it's a problem that I posted that in that thread and then decided this would be a better place to post. It didn't harm anyone. Unnecessary clutter is what you're doing.

well, i guess it would have been better to let you wait for 10000 years and wonder why no one here will answer your question, because it got closed by mod....
but i thought i help you by pointing you to the right forum where you probably get your answer in 15min.
sorry for being so stupid trying to help you. i promise i will never ever do this mistake again.
happy waiting here
edit: "
WARNING!! If I see any more questions or non DEV related threads...I'll delete them.. "
this is the title of the third or forth sticky thread here. they delete your thread without warning or notification. this happens often and you would wait for ever without that hint from me.

HTC Stock Rom with data2sd

Hi there,
Yesterday i tried to flash cm7 on my WS.
It worked but everytime i want to start a app it says:
"Process xxx has stopped working." and i have two chices :
"Wait" or "Force Close".
this sucks.
Now i want to flash the old stock 2.3.3 Rom (Europe) with data2sd and an extern ext4 partition as internal memory.
How can I do this ?
Do i need to flash the old recovery back ?
Or is there any solution on the problem in cm7?
ah btw. i flashed gapps & data3sd with cm7.
and I can speak german too.

Nobody cares in this sector about your problem! You wrote it into the development sector, THIS IS WRONG DUDE! Why do we have rules? Read them first!

In fairness its an easy mistake to be made i remember being caught out with it here, one thing that irritates me is that although the OP was wrong to post in this section people are too keen to jump on them and fill up the dev section even more by posting equally useless comments
So in response to the OP i would suggest posting in Q&A section
Just use the search facility.

If you managed to flash CM7, you already know what to do to flash stock Rom.
Clear everything first, then flash new Rom.

Hi Maxi_king_223,
You are right in what concers the tone matt5eo used. It's not necessary to talk like that to someone.
I myself was victim of that behavior by some "pseudo-smart guys" BUT also guilty of doing something similar to one or two users.
Please try to understand that people here get fed up with new users NOT reading the rules. That should be the first thing to do before posting.
There are different sections for different kinds of problems.
In this way it's easier to find solutions and also explain what problems you have. If you post in the right section there is a much higher probability of getting answers.
I hope that you also learn how to use the search function. For that please take a look at this thread by b02:

EDIT: came too late with the address but at least here you can click because it's a link.
Good luck here on XDA!
Okay,
I thought that no one of the topics were the right so i decided that this here was the best. I'm sorry if i bothered you. I'll put the thread into the Q&A topic.

[Q] Enable Boot Sound in HTC Desire with Cyanogenmod 7.1 ROM

Hello,
Somebody knows how to enable boot sound in HTC Desire GSM with CyanogenMod 7.1 ROM??
I was searching for a solution for our device but I couldn't find anything...
I also tried all the solutions that I found for the other devices but it seems that aren't compatible with HTC Desire GSM because nothing worked.
Please anyone can help me?
Thanks in advance!
This is so important it has to be in the development section. :banghead:
via xda app
a better question is how you are able to post on development section as this is your first post.

I was searching related information and trying to solve it the last 5 days.
It's obviously that isn't a very important issue, but on the other hand, I think it's a technical problem that cannot be solved by a normal user.
In XDA, I've readed the same thread in other sub-forums of other devices, thats why I posted my thread here.
I've also readed the BEFORE POSTING thread, and then I've decided that this is the better section to post. And if I've correctly interpreted the rules, this section it's for advanced technical issues (NOT FOR IMPORTANT ISSUES) related with development, or ROM development, in that case CM 7.1, because that only occurs with that ROM, with other ROMS the sound can be loaded on Boot Screen.
If I am wrong and this thread has to be posted on another section, please let me know, but it's not necessary to miss your education.

Sorry to say, but you are wrong.
As you clearly state in the topic this is a question and questions belong into the q&a forum. Please read the Forum-Rules.
The answer for your question is:
CM don't has a bootsound. And it's not possible to enable, but to add it.
You'll need an .mp3 , rename to android-audio.mp3 and put it into the same folder as your boot animation.

That is not working in case of HTC Desire GSM with CM and I don't understand why...
I put the same original android-audio.mp3 of the original ROM, or the "droooid" android-audio.mp3 and no matters where I put the mp3 file:
* /data/local
* /system/media
* /system/customize/resource
...
the audio never sounds when bootanimation is playing at the device's boot.
