Hey all,
If you are in London, head over to the Samsung Mobile Pins or Samsung Galaxy studios for a free limited edition olympic flip cover.
They are the standard official white samsung flip covers (that replace the backcover) but with a nice olympic/London design.
Ask nicely and you may have to do a few tasks (like drawing on a Galaxy Note).
From the top of my head, MObile Pins/Studios are in Westfield-Shepherd's Bush, Broadgate, Old Spitafields Market, N1 shopping centre, Westfield-Stratford, St Pancras Station, One New Exchange, Stratford International and maybe a few other places that I forget.
I don't know about the availability of the covers. I managed to get one at Stratford International station.
Good luck

I just popped down to Westfield and they do not do them there. When i asked they said its only if you buy the phone.
Thanks for the info.
Can anyone confirm this? I could go to St Pancreas after work, and I'd love a case, but hate to miss my train if they don't have any.

You need to go to the Mobile Pin NOT THE STORE.
As long as you have the Galaxy S3 to show them, you can get it from the places that I mentioned.
My brother and another friend also received them.

So any idea where I'd be looking in St Pancreas? What am I looking for?

This price has now been corrected on the AT&T website.
For USA users:
AT&T seems to have an error in the pricing on their website for the galaxy note s-pen holder kit (includes both the s-pen and the holder.) The item is supposed to be about $50 (US), but is currently on their website for only $29. (The same price as just the spare s-pen.) Includes free 2-day shipping.
http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-ph...ails/?LOSGId=accessoryBucket&q_sku=sku5610275
I don't know if the AT&T version will fit properly in the international note, but I'll be finding out in a couple days. If not, it'll be going back.
Take care
Gary
Thanx,
Just ordered one

Awesome find. Ordered one.
I don't care if it's slightly different from the international version since I don't want to have my phone without the s pen in there anyway.
This comes with the s pen and holder. I'll keep this in my bag, and keep the original pen in the phone.

Ordered one as well, thanks much for the $20 savings on this item.

I too ordered one, I already lost mine after one week of use!
Update: Shipped 2/16 9:36pm from Fort Worth, TX via USPS
Got one too!
Thanks for the heads up!
Listed on Ebay too

Did you actually read the OP before responding with this? It's also available through amazon, expansys, and several other locations. The point of this thread is that it can be had for quite a discount via AT&T's website due to what is probably a pricing error. It was a communication to other users who are able to order from AT&T that they might want to take advantage of that price.
The thread is NOT a general thread announcing the availability of s-pen kits, not a "post links to ebay sites" thread, or anything else.
Does it REALLY make sense, in a thread titled "s-pen holder kit for 29.99 (USD) (in USA)" to post a link to a ebay reseller in korea who will sell the same kit for 41 USD plus shipping?
add me to the list as well.
Good looking out. Beggars can't be choosers but wish they had the holder kit with the white pen. Also I wonder if the low cost has anything to do with Sammy trying to push out the rest of the old pens without the grey button.
Good price for a spare. In for one as well. =)
An update...
AT&T, in their usual and customary fashion, screwed up even this most simplistic of orders. Even though my order was completely processed before 3pm ET on Wed, they didn't get the package to USPS until late Thursday night. Then, instead of 2-day USPS Priority Mail, I'm getting what appears to be 5 day delivery. (I called AT&T and they basically told me "too bad")
So, when that package arrives next week sometime, it'll be refused. I've already called my credit card company to contest the charge and file a fraud complaint. (The order promised 2-day delivery and that wasn't what was given.)
In the meantime, I drove over to my local AT&T store and managed to get them to price-match the 29 USD price on the AT&T website. (Normally, it'd be 49 USD.) (I think the fact that I let the store manager play with my international note helped to get him to match the price. He had an AT&T version and was amazed at how much smoother and faster mine was compared to his. LTE isn't available in my area, so that's a non-issue.)
So, the AT&T purchased kit fits perfectly with the international Galaxy Note (IGN.) The S-Pen itself is completely identical to what came with my IGN, except that it has a gray button instead of a black button. The adapter is a bit fatter than I expected, but that's a good thing for my hands.
Now I have the best of all worlds: an s-pen with the gray button. A full size s-pen adapter, and yet another valid fraud complaint against AT&T.
Take care
Gary
Thanks, good to know that it's an identical pen. Having said that, can the pen 's tip be tuck into the pen when not in use? Like some sort of twist action, making it a truly useful actual pen? I would not want the pen holder to always leave the pen's tip out in the open out of fear that it might get scuffed, etc.
This way, I don't have to struggly removing the S-Pen on my current phone and just use this one that's purchased to take notes in class!

There does not seem to be any way for the tip to retract into the adapter. Honestly, though, I wouldn't be too concerned about it - I don't think it would leak ink.

Yes, good deal and probably a typo since ATT has the pen alone for the same price. still Expansys usa has it for a little bit more with free shipping and would trust them to send it on time and correctly than ATT who can't even price it correctly. Also I do not want to give money to any carrier.
Hey,
I just purchased an n5100 from Amazon. This is my first time buying an international device and not a US device, so I have a few questions. It looks like I got a model meant to be sold in a Spanish-speaking country, since the box and the writing on the back of the tablet are in Spanish.
1. The box had no seal to break through. I know on the Wifi models sold here and in the unboxing videos I've seen online, there are stickers to cut when you are opening the box. Should I be worried that there is no seal, or are there countries where this is sold unsealed?
2. No headphones are included. In the unboxing videos for the 3g model, I've seen they come with headphones. Do they all come with headphones?
3. Will I encounter any unexpected issues with having an international model?
4. How does Samsung handle warranty issues on international models?
Thanks in advance!
I'll attempt to answer some of my own questions since I decided to power the thing on
I found a few more unboxing videos and saw that not all the 3G versions do include the headphones. So I guess that's not an issue. One thing that's nice about the version I received is that it came with a US-compatible power adapter.
So far, no unexpected issues with having an international model. When powering it on, it defaults to English, and you can select your language from that first screen. When starting the Google Play store, it asked me what country. I selected US, and I was able to begin downloading my apps. That was one of my worries.
So far, this looks pretty nice. I was trying out the Wifi model, and decided based on that experience that I wanted to have the 3G option. I guess the next step is to stick my microsim in and see how that works
Congratulations! My one had a seal, but no headphones. I also got extras with my deal - a free official pouch stand, 16GB microSD, and 2 months free Internet with a local service provider.
No idea how warranty issues are handled, sorry.
There is a seal
There are no included headphones.
Why would you have any more problems than a Wifi version?
Warranty depends on the policy of Samsung where the device is originally for. My guess is you have no warranty

I've had my I ter national note 8 for about 3 weeks now. It came unsealed so that the retailer will know which converter to send with it. U have no warranty, and can't even register it on Samsung website. That said, u might want to try wentworthave (dot) com or protectyourbubble (dot) com... I've used pyb before for a claim and they're pretty good wentworthave doesn't have deductibles.. I'm thinking of switching.
I received my note yesterday also through a retailer on Amazon. Mine was sealed and all in english. It defaulted to British english and I was able to register it on the Samsung UK website. In doing so, I received the dropbox promotion of 48 GB for 2 years for free! The retailer included an adapter for charging in the main shipping box so they did not have to open the tablet's box. I contact Samsung US and they confirmed there is no warranty for it here. I have it covered on Square Trade. I just hope not to have to use it.
Anybody seen them somewhere? been searching but had no luck! bought LTE version from Germany!

I couldn't find the Book Cover anywhere in the UK and a fellow XDA member said to call up samsung store. So I called up a Samsung Store and they happily delivered it to me. So try calling a Samsung stire in your respective countries or try the UK store and ask if they would deliver in EU - Personally I think the Book Cover is well built and also you are certian it wont damage the devices screen unlike nearly all other 3rd party cases.

Just checked over my device and some you tube video posts.. a few things.
I got the P605 from ATGSM.com.
The box was sealed with sticker and all.
Inside the box there were no replacement stylus tips (as seen in all the you tube reviews)
Also the box does not look like any of the boxes i see in the reviews. I take it that the version they shipped me is originally the Hong Kong.
There were no specs on the box.
Did I get a fake...a clone....... What do I do now. I can post a pic of the box if you need to see it.
I need some serious help. I paid over $700 for this device. I just want to make sure its the real deal. Especially seeing how there are so many fakes out there. Please help.

I bought a P605 via Negri Electronics a couple of weeks ago, and it was in an identical box to the one in your picture. My box also didn't have any spare stylus tips. Also had a Hongkong style adapter, which Negri provided a US adapter in the outer package.
I suppose the HK version just doesn't come with spare tips?
It seems real to me.

I bought my N-8000 and SM-P601 from Negri and had no issues. The only problems I heard regarding the N3 and Negri was that some carrier devices they sold, mostly T-Mobile, that had their IMEI's reported stolen after people received them and started using them. Since Negri doesn't build devices and most of what they sell is grey market and imported from other countries they are kind of at the mercy of their suppliers. As far as I know they stood behind the devices with bad IMEI's and replaced or refunded them. If you're in the U.S. and buying a SM-P601/5, no matter who you're buying it from, you're taking a chance as to its origins, condition, and country of sale (which can't be the U.S. because neither is sold here). And know that none of them have a Samsung warranty because they're grey market. Negri, Expansys, and NewEgg are the biggest sellers of Samsung grey market devices in the U.S. and I've purchased from all three. My experiences have been fine but I've heard complaints (some horror stories) on all three. With grey market goods there's no such thing as Best Buy. And Amazon doesn't count; all their unlocked devices are sold via marketplace sellers.

I'd read the thread before I bought my P-601 from them. All their Samsung HSPA devices come from the Samsung dealer in Trinidad. They had the P601 before anyone else reselling them in the U.S. did and it arrived in its shrink wrap and was perfect. The shrink wrapped Trinidadian N-8000 I got last year arrived with a bad display. Negri paid return shipping and overnighted me a new one (which was perfect). I asked where their LTE P-605's came from and they said Asia. I personally am not interested in any Asian-sourced imports because the s/w and Hub access are funky when used in the U.S. Software wise, Trinidad and Latin America are the most compatible. That's why I got a P-601. When people ask me where to buy Samsung grey market devices I mention the three company's above. I share my experiences (and the horror stories, lack of warranty, and other risks) and tell them to avoid PayPal (Amazon Payments is an option with Negri) and use a "customer friendly" credit card like Amex. I'm sorry some people got burned over the N3 but it doesn't change my positive experiences.
Same problem but got the solution.

I've had the watch for a couple of weeks and I like it. I changed the provided leather band as I didn't like the clasp that folded the band over itself and with the clasp it really thickened the band. I installed a Spidel expansion band which is great (for me).
The charge time is fairly short. Gets to below 10% in around 14 hours.
My concern is that there is currently no replacement charging dock/cradle available. If I travel & inadvertently leave the dock at the hotel or I lose it somewhere I'm SOL. I contacted their customer "tech" support and was advised that they don't have a replacement. They advised me to contact their web estore and provided a link. The estore told be to call someone. No. enough is enough. Great support [not]! I've search everywhere and no supplier, so far, has made a dock.

I went to their store and all it did was to direct to a UK seller which wouldn't accept an order out of the UK. I did various searches but couldn't find another supplier.
As I missing something? I'd appreciate it if you had a link that ships to the USA.
Thanks

Thanks.... I tried their store and couldn't get that link! I even tried to send them an email but it kept on being rejected.... They don't make it too easy to do business. I just hope my Asus ChromeBox and Monitor doesn't have any problems.
I bought the charging cradle

It complains that my "cellphone number isn't in the right format"... What the heck? At least tell me what format you WANT, stupid website.
I just type xxxxxxxxxx with 3 digit area code, no number 1 before. It worked fine.
Sent from my ASUS_T00G using XDA Free mobile app

That's what I did too - wouldn't take it. I tried a different phone number and it took that. THEN it refused to validate my address. I suspect it knows I'm sending to mail receiver. Oh well, I'll send it to a friend in the US and have them mail it to me.
Seriously - I wish American-based companies would get over the idea that they can really stop people from buying their products.
thanks for the link I plan on buying a second charge cradle as well . I fear to ever lose one.
