I want to convert ICS system.sin to system.img.
I tried using sin2img.py. It worked for Gingerbread, but it is not working for Ice Cream Sandwich.
The conversion to system.img happens, but I am not able to mount the resulting system.img file.
Been searching all over XDA for a solution, but..
Any help will be welcome.

Working on trying to make the cwm, I am not a professional at it so it taking a while, in between work and classes and military. Just looking for the proper boot image and recovery image. I am hoping that the way the phone was rooted and has a broke cwm on it will not affect my work.

I tried to put xperia s cwm in my phone via RecoverX. It can full wipe but not mount sdcard. Maybe you can find out what is the problem of it.

It should be the recovery.fstab
need to modify the paths there.
use the mount command to see what the mount points are.
I have Deodexed the apps and framework, but after pushing them to the phone, I get boot loop.
I used the latest Rom kitchen.
The main problem is the recovery image doesn't match, so a new one needs to be created that is approriate. I believe the mounted blocks are correct, but the system block is not the same or something like that.

Just put it in Odin/flash in CWM depending on which you picked. If you Odin, I think you have to put the recovery.bin in the Phone slot, or you can just put the tar in either slot.

You cant let it boot. Booting reinstalls the android recovery. Maybe, have battery out, then try booting with the 5 finger combo, or uncheck reboot in odin.

The CWM files are in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1357655
.md5 files are not the archive, but the signature to verify your download.
Here are instructions to properly root your phone by flashing clockwork mod via download mode:
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Sa...te_Guide#Installing_the_ClockworkMod_Recovery
Then you will want to boot into recovery and install whatever ROM you want from the SD Card using the recovery mode.

Odin tars are .tar.md5 or .tar. its not a signature check, but if flashing that doesn't work, delete .md5.

Hello, i don't have such directory. My files are in the "0" named directory (it was created by default). But i can't see the original sdcard location - how to solve this??! I am on paranoid android 4.3. Found it, i have forgotten turn on the ROOT browsing option of ES file manager . Thank you!
Just like the title says, I had 2.5.0.0 TWRP and just upgraded to 2.6.3.0 today. Both versions did the same thing, I have existing .zip files that show up but if I put any new .zip file anywhere on the sdcard partition even on the root it will not show up in TWRP. However, it shows up in three different file managers. I know the files are there but TWRP is not showing them.
Any light that could be shed would be great, Thanks guys.

Your best bet is to flash that mod twrp. If it fails,I suggest u flash that ruu

can someone help me i cant boot into recovery, and apps are still FCing.
Symptoms:
-Unable to boot into recovery/bootloader
-Force closes system app or installed apps
-Stored settings changes on reboots
-Random reboots while phone is idle
-Constant reboots while restarting it and doesn't know when it will boot normally.
All above mention symptoms are related to HARDWARE FAILURE! Bare in mind that not all of them you'll see it on your device. But any of one you face, will might probably having chance of hardware failure.
You or here on xda users can't resolve your issue. So don't try anything from now on wards. Use it as is. Or sell it and move to another device.
Unless you have some local cheap repair shops where they might evaluate the issue then fix it that way, rather than calling into HTC service center.
And i forgot to mention, you probably have question in mind, How i know? My device is dying too. It reboots constantly before it boots normally, though it works fine. So symptom may vary device to device but cause is the same.

@P5King I need something from you.

No need. I have compiled twrp with factory firmware flashing support.
Just flash the system.img from the stock firmware using Twrp.

It's not. Twrp doesn't communicate with the bootloader like odin does.
@P5King How'd it go? Did it succeed?
