I've found your specific radio to be the BEST for me. I don't know why the others perform so poorly but the 4.0.2 was perfect for me. Try the new jellybean radio and if you don't like it you can always revert

This update is for takju phones. I got the update on the Galaxy Nexus I just received an hour ago at Google I/O. Mine is updating now.
So we DO flash it?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
So we need to be on takju. And is this just an update or a full firmware? Its quite large.
So this is the OTA being pushed to those GNex given out at I/O today then... This can't be final software. Wondering what flashing this update will do to our ability to get the later update... or if we'll be able to flash the official one after or accept an OTA... So many questions left unanswered.
What's jelly bean look like

Anyone know when its coming officially?
Everyone knows and we decided to keep it a secret from you

TORO: Who knows. Verizon decides. Literally ANYONE who says otherwise is just pulling guesses out of thin air.
TOROPLUS: Same Story.
MAGURO: Flash Takju/Yakju and have it now.
I could care less about official. I have a pure stock build of the newest 4.1.1 release running completely bug free on my ToroPlus.

An official update is the only way to get a better radio.

Better radios? I am on toro+ and never have had better or faster 3g connection or speeds with any other device than my gnex on the fg01 radios. Also had a brief connection to lte which was amazing and apparently it's going live next month in my area.

Verizon will take a while to release it as usual. Google has released it for galaxy nexus devices though. Just gotta wait for the carrier now.

You know they'll release it as soon as you get another phone.

cmon sprint!
Is there someplace I can get newer radios for my galaxy nexus on verizon running jelly bean? I flashed a rom and keep getting an r by the signal meter. I turned roaming to home and pulled battery and lte sim to no avail. I know i'm not roaming but it just bothers me to no end. Any help would be appreciated. By the way, i'm running mmuzzys rom.
Did you look in the stickied radio thread?

This sticky. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399802 But since there hasn't been a jb ota or leak for vzw there are no new radios anyway.
good day.

Have the signal issues been fixed?
That's a very vague question. I have no signal issues with my Toroplus on Sprint.

I would say it is not the phone, is the network that sucks

no. you possibly can brick your phone if you do that.
CDMA is not GSM so you cant change it.
