What version did it say the update was? I bet it was for the update from 4.22 to 4.24
More than likely its the maintenance update for Netflix and some other things that were botched on the first release

Yeah I agree. Weird how it just pushed for it now, it's been out for over a month.
I still haven't been pushed this update...

Will anyone that has installed the stock JRN84D ROM from this thread, know if it will update OTA when subsequent updates come from Google?
I've asked in the thread, but the answer has got lost somewhere in the mire I'd imagine.
I'd assume so, considering its the same build as the Google I/O attendees are getting. Would assume they would OTA them, but they may expect that because they're developers, they would update themselves.
Nobody knows apart from El Goog.
As I understand it, no. You only get ota's if you're on the most recent official stock rom. You will only be able to install the ota if you have not changed anything on the official rom. I may be wrong but from experience that's what I think

If you can't update by going back to stock and use the update device in settings -> about, then you can download it and use Odin to flash. I will wait for a rooted ICS themed version from one of the talented devs :fingers-crossed:
i get my gs3 tomorrow since my htc one x gave out, just in time in my opinion!
Yay for bloat!

Is there any differences? Is it worth the time to go official jelly bean update? Or should I just stay on leaked fk23 jb?

Have you updated from fk23 to gb27? I'm still using fk23 "rooted", and was thinking of updating it to gb27... I have the Samsung simple upgrade tool, because I can't use kies to update it... If you updated using the same method, did everything work out ok?... I'm not sure if this will harm my phone...

Back then when my device was running ICS, I updated my device to jelly bean 4.1.2 using the Samsung simple upgrade tool. It worked perfectly. Had no issues during the process. Afterwards, you simply root your device if you want, and you are good to go. Definitely recommend updating to the latest version GB27.
