Hello guys.. i was wondering if there is any jellybean rom for the g2. I am in big love of jellybean since i have it on my tablet. And i would like to have it on my phone

If it happens at all, it won't be for a bit ... there isn't even a fully functional ICS yet for our device.
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda app-developers app
The only thing not functioning for ICS is 720p camcorder recording.
There are very functional JB roms for the Vision, check the Andromadus Test Builds thread by Flinny.

Yeah, im using it as dd since a few weeks, it's over all very stable and fast. It's a much bigger thing than just a test build, go for it

Runs great for me.
Also @ OP: were you just too damn lazy to open the Development section?
Thanks guys. I will use the test build.

Nothing special. Wiped in CW, flashed ROM and gapps.
Went back to my ICS backup though. Hard to give up tablet mode and haven't gotten around to setting it up with JB.
What was the number of the build that you flashed? Experience might vary between them

Since alquez is the only one working on a port and he clearly states
"The only fully supported phone variant atm is MARVEL.
MARVELC/MARVELCT owners need to be a little patient and do not flash this rom until it's fixed (unless they have some dev experience - it's the kernel)"
my anwser is 'no there isnt'.
I doubt there ever will be.

Exactly. I damn near bricked my wife's phone trying, now she's back on stock. Wait a few months, maybe then.

working stock is for sure better than buggy anything ... thought cdma marvel has support for data2sd, oc and stuff, right ? so its not like there isn't anything out there....
like when we had locked bootloaders
At the moment her phone is bone stock, so no goodies at all. I'll probably put Simon's rom on it in a few days, but I need to give it a break for a bit. She needs time to forgive me, and remember how bad stock sucks!

Google never released Honeycomb; besides, its a tablet OS so it really has nothing for phones.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Oh....I'm sure if google was to release it the devs here on xda can manage to boot it on the g2....I've seen a youtube video of the phone with honeycomb but its completly useless
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda premium
Google did release honeycomb's source the day after ICS's source was released, No one has cooked it into a rom and honestly its not worth the effort.
dev's wouldn't bother building roms from source, when newer source is released.
Also, they would have the same issues with camera and fm radio not working in honeycomb if anyone tried making it, as no drivers have been made/released for our devices past gingerbread.
-Nipqer
If I recall the phone portions of the OS were completely borked anyways. Which is why the big G never released the code.
Did they actually release HC code with ICS release? I thought it was just that ICS included the HC changes plus everything fixed for phones.

Sooooo about these drivers does google have to release them or do we here at xda have to cook up our own because I believe the next ics relase should have a working camera right?
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda premium
Google doesn't build the drivers, the manufacturers build drivers to make Android work with each different set of hardware. Its possible for the devs to do, but its very time consuming. HTC isn't going to make HC drivers for our device, since HC is tablet only. And effort (both HTC and devs here) is probably better spent on ICS for the reason that ICS is mostly HC but including phone functionality, and a few other features and optimizations.

Dude, they aren't even RCs! If you want a ROM that has everything working all of the time then either revert back to stock or run a STABLE release.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Camera kinda works means, it has some functionality, but is far from perfect.
You can't do video capture, and the camera struggles with anything above VGA resolution. So nowhere near the 5MP the sensor can offer.
It is quite hard work to get this **** working fully, you should appreciate what they have done so far. So stop *****ing that it ain't perfect.
-Nipqer
I thought you need to run a camera app for the camera to work properly.
Plus I can live without the Desire's camera, not exactly that great.

There is also an app on the market called GooManager which allows you to get easy access to files on goo.im. aeroeven's 10.5 kernel for instance can be found under /dev/aeroeven/kernel/vivow. I find this app useful to stay on top of the latest rom/gapps/kernel releases.
In goo manager you have to go to devs and find aeroevan. For some reason he isn't in the "browse compatible ROMs" section

Really? Why do people say things like this? If you don't like it go back to stock, these are roms that are being worked on by our best devs and they are working with what they have, just be happy that we have ICS/JB at all. I for one am very happy with the alpha JB ROMs so far.

+1 - Aero JB ROM breaths new life into my old Inc2. Just LOVE it. Granted it might not for everyone but one has to be willing to accept a certain ... hmm how to say ... "imperfection" when using them. But the rewards are so much more plentiful than the shortcomings. Many thanks to all the devs working hard to making this possible.
I'm looking for a stable non-sense ICS rom with everything working. Camera, FFC, MMS, GPS, etc. Is there one available for the Incredible 2?

Try the Team Venom ViperINC rom, when you are installing you can choose to install the 'de-sensed' version. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953899

Agreed. Especially with the way Sense 4 runs already. Nitsuj has done awesome work bringing Viper over to us but he's even said before (heavy paraphrasing ahead) that phones made for Sense 4 slaughter the Inc 2 in comparison. Without any kind of ICS kernel it doesn't look good, as much as it would be super cool to try.
Oh okay then I see now that it will never happen. And well now I got in the meantime until I upgrade, the go launcher and the theme of sense 5.

Well now that we have several >90% working jelly bean ROMs, with 3.0 kerne, i would think that MAYBE a sense 5 room could be ported over.
