PC not reading internal/external memory SGS3 - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

i have a videotron Galaxy S3 T-999V rooted and running FreeGS3 SuperSonic R5 rom (awesome rom)
just recently, when ever i connected my phone to the computer (running windows 7) and tried to copy files onto the external memory card, my computer could not copy it and gave me a message saying "sd card might be damaged etc...."
but then i tried to copy something onto my internal memory card and my computer again couldn't copy it, saying "the file could not be copied because the device may have stopped working or is corrupt etc"
i even tried Android file Transfer on my mac and it wouldn't recognize the phone when connected
i never had this problem before and it just recently came up unexpectedly, i've been running Ultimatum Rom 1.3 (ATT SGS3 rom, but has been working perfectly) on my T999 SGS3
is it a software or hardware problem? my phone works perfectly fine.i can copy and move files within in the phone, and when i put my microSD card into a SD card adapter my mac seems to recognize is and can copy files onto it right away
What i've done:
Turn on/off USB debugging mode
Turn on/off "Allow Mock Locations"
Installed android SDK on my pc
Installed all Samsung Drivers on my PC
installed Samsung Kies (still would not detect my phone)
Tried different roms (CM10, kyan Rom, Ultimatum 1.3)
Restored from Previous back-ups using CWM
Performing a full wipe and installing the rom again.
PLEASE HELP !!
any help would be greatly appreciated !!

Samsung Galaxy S i9000 internal sd card not working and touchscreen not responding

Hi. I have a Samsung galaxy S i9000 running a Jellybean 4.1 custom ROM. androidadvices. com/ update-galaxy-gt-i9000-stable-jellybean-411-firmware/#.UDJOV91mT9d
Everything's working fine until today when my laptop (Win7 OS) froze up while I was formatting the internal sd card of my phone.I restarted the laptop and phone and the internal sd card cannot be detected by either device anymore.
I tried to format the sd card multiple times to no avail. I tried to flash stock GB ROM. ODIN can detect the phone but cannot complete the process. It fails on "Setting Up Connection".
Up to the above process I was able to use my phone (it turns itself on, just can't use internal sd card). However, I made a stupid mistake of doing factory reset, cache wipe, and dalvik cache to reflash the JB ROM in hopes that it will fix it. Now, my phone is stuck on the Welcome screen (one with Choose Language and Start to setup) but the touchscreen isn't working so I can't select Start. The buttons on either side of the center button works, though. Only the touchscreen function is not working.
Now obviously, USB Debugging is not set up on my phone so I can't do a lot. My first question is: Is there a way to setup USB Debugging using ADB or from Recovery?
Additional info:
Recovery and Download mode are both working, although like I mentioned above, I cant reflash stock ROM because of no usb debugging and it fails in Odin. File Manager can be accessed from Recovery but it has no internal sd card directory. External sd card is ok, though, as well as the system files. But cannot install from internal sd card (obviously), cannot format sdcard, or do anything that has something to do with sdcard. It gives an error "E:\ can't mount sdcard"
When I connect the phone to the computer via USB, the phone "knows" that it is connected because the notification beep sounds and on Computer, it shows a new drive name (F but it says "Please Insert a disk into Removable Disk F.", which I believe, means it can detect it but cannot mount the storage.
I can also use adb.
So my questions are:
-How do I get the touchscreen functionality back?
-How can I enable my internal sd card to be mounted on the phone again?
-(same as above) How do I enable USB Debugging from adb or recovery?
I know I have a lot of issues on my phone but I would really appreciate it if you can help me. Thank you.
Did you find a solution?

MTP crashes and will not install

Hello,
Last week I updated my S3 to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) via Kies. The connection between the computer and the phone was fine. After it updated, I connected the phone again to backup my phone with Kies but on my phone I received the error "Unfortunately, MTP Application has stopped". I kept messing around with settings such as turning on and off USB debugging but that made no difference. I switched between PTP and MTP and some how it ended up working but that was short lived as it stopped working once again. I did some research and people have said to uninstall the drivers and let windows install the drivers or remove Kies and reinstall it but it still will not work. I have also tried different cables and USB ports and that didn't work. What can I do to fix this problem?
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S3 (i747m)
Carrier: Rogers Wireless
Rom: Stock Android 4.1 Jelly Bean No Root
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

I have this issue too and it's pissing me off.
I'm using a 32gb SD card and I can't transfer anything to it without taking it out of my phone.
I can't even transfer files from my internal SD to the sd card... using samsung's "my files" app, it just says transfer failed
I know there's nothing wrong with the SD card because it works just fine when I put it in the sd card adapter. I can also read files off of it just fine.
running stock rooted jb.
For me Unfortunately, MTP application has stopped problem is solved !!!
Read my post #6, problem is solved !!! very minor point but we tend to overlook it...

[Q] External SD card not showing in PC

I reimaged my PC, loaded the latest Samsung drivers, and now cannot see the external SD card on my PC. I am running Windows 7. Althougth I am running a custom ROM, I am the only one that cannot see the external SD card so I think it is my connection/drivers. I originally just installed the latest Samsung drivers, as part of troubleshooting I went ahead and installed the full Kies Air software. I can see the exteranal card fine in my phone and can transfer files fine within my phone. Any thoughts on what I need to set or do differently? I have reloaded the driver a couple of times. I have tried it with USB debugging on and off. ROM is a touchwiz based ROM, Project X V 2.6. (Any help appreciated.)
Edit: Just found out I had to switch from mass storage to MTB and then I can see the external drive.
sd
How do you do that?

Note II PC connection problem

Hi guys!
I've got this strange problem with my Note and computer connection on my home PC (win 8.1).
When I connect phone to PC it's detected properly, I can view foldes and files, but when I'm trying to make a new folder, process crashes (no matter if it's SD card or internal phone memory). Also copying from/to device is very slow and likes to crash also.
What I've so far checked is:
-cable: it's good one beacuse on other cables same thing happens.
-drivers: I've installed 3 or version of samsung USB drivers, it hasn't helped.
-SD card is original samsung class 10 card (same problem occured on other 16gb card)
On other PC the problem doesn't occurs.
I'm quite confused and running out of ideas, help

phone won't connect to computer

After installing the latest version odex zone rom, my computer will not open to the MTP screen. It just charges only. I know it worked before because I moved the rom to my sd card thru my computer. I know the drivers are installed because as I said, I installed thru my computer. Any help will be appreciated.
