Hi,
is it necessary to do a full wipe before upgrading to the latest sandvold even if i have a previous release?
in the aroma installer which a2sd/tweaks do you choose for better perfomances?
Thanks
Since there is no answer, I tried this myself.
Had 0.15.0.1 installed and working well, and did an install of 0.16.1 over the top.
All seems to be working, getting a couple freezes (not enough to worry about though), which I didn't have on 0.15.1, but it could just be bugs, or could be I'm doing something I wasn't on the previous version.
Using it for daily, pretty happy at the moment.
And I left the top a2sd selected, not sure if it would like me changing it after I already had apps moved with the one script.
Thank you for the answer

Just as an FYI, I went back to 15.0.1 yesterday, I was getting some weird stuff happening, a fair few crashes, and some weird screen flickering. Might stick at 15.0.1 for awhile, see how it goes.
I'd avoid 0.16.1 for now. Stick to 0.15 as it seems to be more stable.
I was using 0.16.1 really buggy I also came from 0.15.1 I'm now
Using nikez 1.0.1b2 it is a much more stable from than both of them. I have also installed Google now thanks mikey6 works perfectly

Anyone knows why the screen on - off animations like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=815335 won't show on cm 7.1.0.1 for wildfire? I've tried setting them on-off reboot etc but no change at all. Any clue anyone?
It's an extremely random effect. If having it is so important, consider upgrading to the latest nightlies, where they are much more consistent (Still not 100%) than the stable.
I went to a local store yesterday and the Nexus S had it, no root. Is there incompatibility or something with the WF
Actually, i accidentally managed to make it work after installing a theme called "rover" (if i remember well), but it screwed up fonts and icon sizes cause i think its designed for desire, and i had to reflash cm7 to solve it.

It is compatible with buzz, but i guess something is messed up with the cm7 stable package.

There must be a way making it a flashable zip, with zipthemer maybe, but i need the lockscreen animation file to do it. Maybe i'll check the cyanogen forums.

Strange, I always manage to get it working after 1-2 reboots (On Nightly #250 and Erwin's local build). (Verified - Since I keep changing SIM cards between my SGS2 and Wildfire pretty regularly)
Hmm.. maybe i'll give it another shot tomorrow then. You managed that only by rebooting? Not changing anything in the settings?

Hi all,
As far as I know the instagram app doesn't support this phone, any ideas to work around this?

Hey,
(have you actually tried running the app?) if so,this appears to be a specific problem on your end, since I know for a fact that it does work. I tried it out approx. a week or two ago and it worked just fine. Also i just checked the desktop play store and it gave me a green light as well.
(currently running flinny's test build 71)
It works

It say this version doesn't support my device. Could it be my rom? I'm running ilwt.
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda premium
It's the ROM I was running MIUI the other day and got the same message. I'm running ICS now and have it on my phone.

The app does work. Have you changed your LCD density? If so change it back to the default value and that should fix your problem.
Sent from my HTC Desire Z using XDA
I didn't change the LCD density at all. What is s good ics rom to flash? Many of them I tried have laggy keyboards.

I'm also rocking GB MIUI and the app has been working flawless for weeks now.

I've had it working since day 1 on various roms. I don't like the fact that you have to crop and do all this stuff to use the app and upload images. While its a "cool" social network, Pixlr does the job and allows you to post on other social networks without having to crop your image.
Hope you got it working.
I had the same problem, but is only if you go on the market trought the phone it says that. I went to http://play.google.com and from there I could install it and I'm using ILWT very easy, I ain't got problem
Anyone using chrome running into a problem where its fine for a little bit but eventually slows down so Mich you have to pull The battery?
It has only happened after rooting and using ics roms.

I have similar problem but no need pull batery, just a reboot and it will fast again.
Try running a cache cleaner. I have noticed some programs doing that and I run cachecleanerng and it seems to fix it.

Can't reboot, its pretty much completely unresponsive.
As for the cache cleaner, doesn't do anything even after full wipe and fresh app install.

Simply put Google will ignore any bug reports of chrome on "unofficial" android releases such as ICS on desire Z, and cuz its not for gb, they wouldn't support the G2/DZ are all, so support inquiries are basically ignored.

Chrome didn't run fully functional e.g. Fn key didn't work...
Wasn't working right for me either. Since it really isn't working for anyone which browser do people prefer instead?

Moving to Q&A
Hello all, I am running the latest CyanogenMod 10 nightly and I've noticed that with all autocorrect features off, sometimes when typing numbers, the cursor will jump back a space and it will continue typing in the wrong place. Maybe this is a Firefox related thing because if I recall correctly that is the only place I've run into it, and I just tried duplicating the issue in this app to no avail. The problem also occurred in cm10 stable. Does anyone know what could cause this or how to fix it?
Thanks

Did this occur from a clean flash or dirty? Which CM10 version are you running? I'll be able to give more advice with more details.
Clean flash I believe, I flashed the latest pre-rooted stock rom with odin, as I couldn't get heimdall to work properly with the guide in the CyanogenMod wiki, then flashed cwm, then wiped cache, dalvik, formatted /system, and flashed the cm 10.0.0 stable. That is the version I first noticed it in. After updating to the nightlies (as of yesterday's) I still noticed it. Thanks for your reply.

hmm, it does look like it's a Firefox thing, I just tested typing the same thing into the default browser that caused the issue in Firefox. This was the not beta version, so it must not be only the beta.

Haven't touched CM10.1 nightly ROMs for a while. But the LED Notification stopped working, stayed on an older version of CM10.1 nightly.
Gonna try that when I get home. Also PA made it to this device. Also the Jedi mind trick Roms. So many options. Wow head's spinning.
Leaning towards CM10.1 though.
No signal, can't play video
I was using CM10.0. Updated CM10.1 with corresponding gapp.
-Can't register on cellular network anymore. Can't set AWS frequency in the factory testing mode.
-All of my Video apps start legging, play videos for a little while and quit after about a minute, say video format not supported. Even though the video is mp4 format and it was playing it before quitting.
How should fix it? Flash kernel? Which kernel should I use?

I tried to resist flashing this ROM but had to give in to temptation. Said to myself no more flashing when I got into boot issues with JMTJB6. Odin flashed stock and left it unrooted! Was happy...but then temptation. Happy I did it, rock solid, butter smooth, doesn't seem to have any lag.

Thanks that did the trick. I was going mad at why the LED notifications stopped working.
Also still on the non-touch recovery, 5.0.26 the one that needs the Darkmod scripts to wipe cache and do full installs.
Also had to turn sensor on/off before it actually worked. Read that from another post from someone that helped me.
Thanks again dude.
