If I were to purchase the Seidio 3800mAh extended battery and put it into my Sprint Galaxy Nexus, would I be able to put on a tpu case meant for the original size phone if I didn't use any back cover?

No?.....get the Verizon 2100 it's fits under the stock casing.

I have the Verizon battery and its not enough. I want more capacity but don't want to have a bulky phone.

FO REALZ!?
That's awesome to hear. Now I know which battery I'm getting. I don't like using anything other than OEM and I don't like extended covers, especially since I'm getting an Otterbox Defender.

Is there a app that can tell me how many mah the battery is ???

No. The fuel gauge in the nexus doesn't support that.
let it be.
Just received the 2000mha battery with back cover and wanted to be sure is the real deal

If you bought from a reputable dealer and it has an official back cover I'm sure its the proper capacity.

It looks real. You're not going to get a whole lot more than stock 1750mah. It is only 14%? More battery. But you will notice how much better the gnex feels in your hand. And a tpu case will fit great if you want protection.
let it be.
I just ordered a Verizon galaxy nexus and looking at cases. I ordered the Samsung extended battery and was wondering if all cases would still fit.

Most Verizon cases should, but not all. I'm using a Speck case and its working great. However, zero GSM cases will work with the vzw extended.

Hi,
I have searched but didn't find any information, and for good reasons... They former hasn't launched globally yet.
Would it be possible to use a SG3 battery in GNex? I understand the GNex is a smaller device, but could have same battery compartment as SG3?
Anyone tried? If it's possible, imagine the battery benefits... But me thinks Sammy is a little smarter than that
Thanks!

Why not just buy an extended battery.. basically the same capacity and a guaranteed fit.

Just buy the GNex extended battery...
I wanted to get the Verizon one since it's pretty much OEM quality, but cannot ship to Canada...
I prefer to stick with OEM, which is why I am wondering if a battery swap could work... Hmmm

The Verizon battery won't even fit in your phone.

The Verizon battery won't fit the GSM model.

Verizon battery won't fit. The Samsung extended battery for the GSM model is OEM.
Where can I obtain the Samsung extended battery for GSM?
What's the capacity?
I am still interested in seeing if anyone had luck using SG3 battery in GNex...
Thanks

Samsung one is 2050mAh
It won't make a difference. Just buy a battery that is guaranteed to work.

They're all over eBay from Korean sellers, about $30-$35 right now including a new back cover (you need it).
The SGSIII one won't fit. Just buy the 2000mAh Samsung GNex one.
Just Google Samsung Galaxy Nexus OEM extended battery..
The vzw one won't fit.. you could always just buy a after market battery with the same mAh tho

Does the Sprint 2100 mah OEM extended battery + cover fit the Verizon Nexus?
Thanks in advance
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
The battery does, the cover has different tabs. You can use your stock cover with the extended battery. It's a snug fit though.

Are you sure? I don't want to stuck with a battery I can't use...

False till proven.
Beamed from my Maguro.
The battery is the same but the cover is just a bit different.

So does the verizon stock cover work with the sprint extended battery like Mike is claiming?
Yes it does
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
1) Battery from either networks will fit phone on either networks.
2) Cover from sprint needs to have a slight modification to one of the tabs to fit (i did this myself with a dremel). I've never tried the other way around because I don't have a Sprint Gnex
