[boot animation][CWM] nexus7 - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

ok this a simple flashable .zip of the nexus 7 boot animation
this the nexus 7 boot animation from google I/O 2012, the boot animation was changed after release
if anything happens it's on you
nandroids are always recommended
***this is a custom boot animation, your kernel must support that in order for it to work***

I hate being the first but I like the boot animation, so downloading now.
Flashed it and nothing happened...?

Does your kernel support boot animation????
EDIT: i can see by your signature that you are using the stock kernel. the stock kernel does not support custom boot animations so this will not work for you, sorry

I have a simply 8/1 CM10 install. I flashed the file in CWM and it worked perfectly.
(as always, do a backup first).

Hmm let me see the update me app included has bootanimation zips you can download so therefore it DOES support custom bootanimation. You download them and install via cwm.. the Rom even has a custom sonic boot animation. Nice try though

Oh, ok, I'm glad I didn't get a bad flash or something...
Here's the nexus 7 boot animation, fyi...might want to change the thread title to indicate it's not the actual one from the tablet. It shows at 3:11 - it wouldn't let me embed the link that started it at the right time...kept showing error occurred...anyway, I was really looking forward to the one that's native to the 7...yours is pretty slick though bro.

Oh wow, Really? That's pretty cool. I didn't know there was a different one at that early release...kind of makes yours a little more exclusive
It's pretty dope, really. Anyway you could get the one from QB's vid working? I haven't looked hard, but I'm sure it's out there somewhere.

NFC & root

FIXED: the og batteries have the nfc function built in, not phone or ROM related.
So it seems NFC does not work when you are rooted. Google Wallet gives a message of "unsupported device" and the link it provides advises NFC is disabled for security reasons when a user roots their device. I would hate to go back to stock just to get this function working (maybe will do so once JB TW comes out), but I did come across this link where it appears a mod was made to enable NFC on rooted devices for the S2 line (most of them, at least). Any chance a talented dev can work on making this happen on our device?

Good man. To say the least. THIS **** IS DOPE AS A MOTHER ****ER! It is very forgiving when messing up and the stitching is better than the 4.1(.1) app.
took this just now in roughly 15 seconds. I tried my damndest to mess it up and it still did a beautiful job.

[MOD] LockRing Changer

This is not my creation or work up. Just sharing this with the permission of FaithCry.
Here is a link to his thread
Many of you know about this mod already many may not. I love it!!! I've tried it on about 5 different AOSP based roms from Liquid to CM and RootBox so all the bases pretty much. It basically replaces the lock with an icon of your choice into framework-red.apk/res/drawable-xhdpi with out all the hassle .
Click on the link to his thread to get to his website so you can downlaod the image of your choice to use
Here are the images for available icons for the LockRing mod that are on FaithCry's site.

So no one has any questions or comments or what their lock screen looks like now? That's great that no one is having any issues but prefer feedback lol, and ideas on some customs one to see if I can create something.

Changing the theme will change those depeneding on the theme, themes contain themed apk such as phone.apk and framework-res.apk where your custom icons will be over ridden.

I am looking for a good name for the theme. Suggest some!
Do not re-host and devs can use in their ROMs but drop me a pm before doing so

Just in case.
This looks awesome! Thank you! What Rom would you recommend with this?

Looks very nice. How would i remove aio if already in the ROM I'm on?
I guess I'd need to just do a backup and fresh install?
Hmmm very nice.
Looks sweet. I haven't been on AOSP in a while. I miss the look. Thanks for the theme.

I continue to get a Status 6 error even after downloading from both links and clean ROM install.

Md5 matches? Which recovery did you use?

I'm running GB28 on a Virgin Mobile Epic 4G Touch. I've got AGATS recovery. Can I use this? I've been trying to figure out how to put a new theme on my phone for the past three days, and have had no luck.

Is the ROM deodexed? If so then yes.

I know OP says not compatible with AIO but can I flash it over it anyways? I'm not going to be editing anything so it shouldn't break it in theory right? Are you going to develop an AIO version of this in the future?

You can try flashing and see what happens.. I do plan on it. In fact I had started to work on it.

Flashing the AIO framework will break the theme. That's the simple answer.
Wait until an AIO version of the theme has been released.

I'm going to try to flash over an existing aio theme. I'll post here once I'm done. It should work in theory as long as I don't flash aio over it.
Edit: I tried flashing it and it seems to be triggering a fail safe or something because it aborts the installation.

That would be a bad download, check md5sum before flashing.

Doesn't seem to be a bad md5. It matches perfectly with the devhost link.
