Currently using Energy rom, and had to run the apn fix on it to get mms working. My buddy sends me guitar riff ideas, and they normally come in as amr files, but somehow they are being converted to qcp now as I receive them. Nothing on his end has changed, just mine. Anyone else ran into this? Would have posted this in the thread for the rom, but wanted to know if this was a more broad issue with the mms trouble we have with multiple roms, so went for the general section.

Ever since I rooted my droid incredible I have had a continuous problem with receiving and sending txt messages. Sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't. I am wondering if it is a ROM problem or a phone problem. I was wondering if anyone could help. Thanks!
What ROM are you using, are you just rooted Stock?
How long has it been doing this?
And yeah, what he said ^
Could be a Rom or you're using or could be your phone itself. I recall several people, including myself, that had problems with mms on CM6 Froyo on the Droid Eris. Some people could fix it using an apn manager, but I could not. I had to move back to the Stock Sense with android 2.1 or a variant like XTR. If mms worked on Stock 2.2 for you, you could try using Virtuous or Sky Raider.

I agree with everybody's suggestions above. You might also make sure your phone is programmed correctly and that the ROM didn't change something critical in that regard. Dial *228 and select option 1.
Good luck!
Some ROMs also have bugs with MMS over wifi... if this is the case try turning wifi off before you send MMS

Is anyone else not able to send or receive MMS messages? My text works fine. Started sunday or Monday. I've wiped, reinstalled, tried a different ROM, all to no avail. Wondering if its a VM thing. Thanks.

I'm experiencing similar problems. I'm using a Cricket One V running both stock and custom tons. No mms on any of them and It's driving me crazy. I've searched the threads, tried clearing cache, factory resets, and attempted a file replacement with no luck. I'm a semi-noob and would appreciate any tips, hints, or instructions. It sucks only being able to send sms messages

Not sure if this will help you. It is something to do with MSL.

So, I have found after wiping and reinstalling the different JB ROMs and kernels, that most of the time MMS will work a few times, but will stop working pretty quick. I was running JMZ one v with the CM9 kernel and it seemed to work fine. That was the only kernel, however, that would let me use WiFi. Any ideas why my MMS would work for a short time on JB ROMs and then quit? Until this problem started there was no problem. Anyways, thanks for everything.

MMS fix
Need to slightly adjust your APN settings for the fact you are now using JB instead of ICS
http***://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Android-Devices-Samsung-HTC-Sony/HTC-One-X-Manual-APN-Settings-Solution-Found/m-p/225729/highlight/true#M5216 << remove ***
has the fixed settings for O2 but the only real difference is the APN type is now * only
maybe a possible fix?
So what I did when I had this problem, after putting a new rom on my phone was going in to settings>mobile network>access point names. I then went to menu and "New APN" I looked up my service providers APN and put in the info I was given from my service providers website and it worked
I have the HTC One V Primo U and I use Koodo as a service provider
my phone is a GSM and I'm using the mySENSE-v RC3.5 rom with titanium-kiss-usb kernal
I rooted and used the [ROM][JB 4.2.1] XenonHD RC2.1 (30.11.12) download. Everything is working awesome, fast, etc etc. Except my MMS. Since the new ROM I can't send or receive any.
Does anyone have a fix or idea for this? I was going to ask in the thread for the ROM but I am a noob and don't have enough posts yet.
Thanks!

I went and checked that out. I am not having problems with my SMS. Those are working just fine. My internet and everything else is working fine too. Only the MMS isn't working which from what I've found means I need to edit the APN settings.
Same problem here can't send mms using T-Mobile with unlimited data

I changed some of my APN settings and am getting intermittent MMS's sending and receiving. But it's still messed up.
So I updated to jellybam 6.7 after having 6.5 already installed and now my mms will not send pictures. Text will send just fine. I tried to stop the program and clear data/cache, then I tried to reboot into recovery and fix permissions. Both did not work. It is on android 4.2.2 please help:crying:
I had what sounds to be the same issue when I had the original evo. No matter what rom I had flashed I could not send a picture message. I had even unrooted it and still couldn't send them. I downloaded go messenger or some other messenger and had no issue. I ended up taking it to the sprint store to get it checked. I found out something went bad and the phone could no longer send an mms with the stock messenger. They ended up replacing my phone. My suggestion is take it to a sprint store and have them check it. Your phone could be doing what my evo was doing.

It might have to do with your APN settings. You can try the FIX I posted a while ago. Here ifs the link:

Hope it works for you, it seems to be a hit or miss for some people.

Anyone else having issues with MMS?
I heard Textra works but can't get it to function right.
No one else is having this issue?
There's a pre-existing thread on the subject, right here in this very Razer Phone sub-forum/section, take a look there.....
