XDA2i external antenna

Hi,
I need to know what size connector is required to attach an external antenna to my XDA2i.
Also, where would be the cheapest place to get one?
Thanks,
Gary.

External GPS

Hello,
I know that Artemis has its own internal GPS.
But, it is possible to use external GPS?
Because in some car models, there is such "coating" in the front that sometimes very difficult to penetrate by the GPS signal.
My friend has tried many external GPS for his Peugeout 307 and the only one which is working fine is Rikaline GPS.
Thanks for any info.
sure!
If you will have a look into the manual or at the backside of the Artemis, You will find the external gps antenna connector.

Otherwise, You can also use an external bluetooth gps mouse
You can use an external Bluetooth GPS device with the Artemis, although I would explore using an external aerial fitted to the Artemis first as these are less costly, most cars fitted with the "Problem" glass have a small area behind the rear view mirror that is not coated. So all yo do is fit the external aerial to the back of the mirror, route the wire around the edge of the screen (hidden for a better looking installation) and it will work without needing the Bluetooth. Have a look for part number 36H00352-00M the HTC Artemis P3300 full edition with TomTom maps comes supplied with this in the box - Mike

I would like to buy external GSM antenna, but I don't know what is the name of this connector / connection.
thanks in advance for any suggestions.
btw, did anyone try to instal any external wifi antenna / wifi antenna connection?
regards!
Hi,
I've never tried any external antenna.
I've found the inbuild antenna's to be sufficient, sorry.
You can google for it or for instance have a look at:
expansys-usa.com/d.aspx?i=147380
BTW: Your photo shows the 'left' external antenna connector.
This is not the external GPS antenna connector!
You need the 'right' one for this purpose , labelled GPS.

[Q] Is it possible to record video from a helmet cam via 3.5mm or micro usb?

Hi
I'm hoping the smart people here at XDA can help with this; tried searching to no avail.
I'm going snowboarding soon and have access to a helmet video cam. Is there an app that would let me record video from this cam to my internal or external sd card via 3.5mm jack or micro usb?
I have the 16gb internal sd and an 8gb external sd, so I'm not short of storage space. Recording to the phone sd card would be alot less bulky than using a portable dvd or similar.
Any help/advice would be much appreciated!

PX5 External WiFi/BT Antenna

I am curious if i can use an external antenna for the WiFi/BT antenna on a PX5 head unit.
The antenna that comes with the unit is very small and doesn't pick up the WiFi to well, and i was curious if i could replace it with an external antenna.
The problem is that the antenna is used for both WiFi and BlueTooth and all the external antennas that i see online are "external WiFi antenna", there's no reference for BT.
Did anybody try and use an external WiFi antenna and if so, did you loose the BT support or it worked with the antenna ?
Thanks in advance.
