PX5 External WiFi/BT Antenna - MTCD Android Head Units General

I am curious if i can use an external antenna for the WiFi/BT antenna on a PX5 head unit.
The antenna that comes with the unit is very small and doesn't pick up the WiFi to well, and i was curious if i could replace it with an external antenna.
The problem is that the antenna is used for both WiFi and BlueTooth and all the external antennas that i see online are "external WiFi antenna", there's no reference for BT.
Did anybody try and use an external WiFi antenna and if so, did you loose the BT support or it worked with the antenna ?
Thanks in advance.

Will this antenna give me excellent reception for my FM Radio Application?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=360148804997
I bought one of these antennas with 3.5 mm jacks.
Will this let me play the radio stations I like?
Specifically I listen to 102.7 and 105.9 and 106.7
They are all music stations.
Any thoughts on this?
if it's not an active antenna which require power over the connector it should
an antenna is just a wire you can even connect a tv antenna from the roof if your house
if you put an 3.5mm connector on it

name of GSM connector

does anyone know the 'official' name of this type of GSM connector?
the picture is here: tinyurl.com/yga76ot
(sorry, but I can't paste any links in this message)
I would like to buy external GSM antenna, but I don't know what is the name of this connector / connection.
thanks in advance for any suggestions.
btw, did anyone try to instal any external wifi antenna / wifi antenna connection?
regards!
Hi,
I've never tried any external antenna.
I've found the inbuild antenna's to be sufficient, sorry.
You can google for it or for instance have a look at:
expansys-usa.com/d.aspx?i=147380
BTW: Your photo shows the 'left' external antenna connector.
This is not the external GPS antenna connector!
You need the 'right' one for this purpose , labelled GPS.

Where can I find the bluetooth antenna?

Will just Disconnecting The Front Mic Connection Fix the Issue?

I just bought a JY 2.73 Double Din unit and have the poor microphone quality issue for phone calls. I've seen threads about rerouting the external microphone wiring to connect to the internal microphone wiring. I understand this is done because the internal and external microphones are thought to interfere with each other.
My question is whether we can leave the external microphone connection as is (maybe add some shielding to it) but just cut the microphone connections between the bluetooth card and the main board. Can anyone say whether this worked for them?
Thanks,
Hish

Desoldering the internal mic worked well in my mtcd (as an option to remove a jumper or component was not an option) and for my mtcb, tracing the mic+ from the display board to the main board I was able to remove a jumper/zero ohm resistor. The latter is desirable as lowest noise option.
Would putting a small piece of tape on the internal mic hole not achieve the same?

PX5 Android 6.1 Can I use my car's original microphone, gps antenna and radio antenna

I have Peugeot 508 which has navigation and bluetooth mic for phone calls. With MTCD PX5 HD Android 6.1 head unit can i use my car's original mic, gps antenna and radio antenna ? Dealer used some kind of extra small box for gps antenna and attached a small external mic but their quality is worse than my original ones. Can i disable the external ones which came with the unit and use the car's original ones?
Do i need to buy extra adapters ?

Depends on your car. Check out this thread from this forum where they explain certain adapters and how they came about wiring certain things: https://www.rav4world.com/forums/2640703-post217.html

Hi!!! About the GPS antena, I am sure that can be used, Is a standard conector (or it should be. The dealer was not suppose to instal you a new one.
About the mic. I have aPeugeot 307cc, also with GPS and mobile phone capacities originaly.
I have now a Android unit and an external mic. I am searching to know what is the conector for the original mic. I know it exists in the car, and is not blueetooth. Is cable. But I dont know wich conector it is!!!
