Add Asus Transformer Infinity to "Find Your Device..." - About xda-developers.com

Subject says it all. The Asus Transformer Infinity forums have been available for a little while but if you try to search for it in the Find Your Device... box nothing shows up for it. Forums are here:

Thanks in advance!

I think this was already flagged to the owners but it looks like we will have to remind them a bit
Thanks for the heads up

How do I change my location?

On my profile I want my location to show up...how do I do this?? Not a noob when it comes to forums but I have looked all over! Tried searching but my terms were too generic no matter what I put in (plus I'm lazy). Can anyone help me with this?
There still seems to be a bug in the forum software. Normally you should be able to configure this in your UserCP (User Control Panel), but the menu entry for this group of settings does not show up anymore.
But you can use this link directly in order to adapt your settings.

you are abusing others will and ability to help
the fact that you are lazy isn't justifying that
in few last days there were about 6 threads about changing location
so get your lazy ass up and read
Whatever dude, I looked and did search. Maybe they should fix this bug and no one would have to ask. Oh and thank you Foo.

Looks like this can be done without magic links.
At the top of the Forum Click "Quick Links" > "Edit your details".
Thanks
Dave

Searching xda

Hi
Now don't take this the wrong way, but... Searching your forums is a headache!
OK if I wanted to find out something generic as rooting an Android phone, before posting one should search to see if it has been already posted, not a problem. Using the Google custom search you get 2.6 million results in no particular order, the 1st ten can range from 3 years ago to yesterday (most results do not show date) (results give very little info) so it is a bit of a lottery finding a relevant thread.
Using "Search this Forum" is all very well and good, but for one thing. Searching for "rooting an Android phone" from what can see is, that it can be found in a least 4 separate Forums...
So what's all the gripe about? Well back in the days of 486's & P1's myself and 2 others designed and implemented a search engine for the Royal Navy's internal Forum. The Forum being as large as xda's if not larger, displayed results: Forum Name, Title of Thread, Date and 1st two lines of thread as your basic search with option of advanced criteria.
It was simple and idiot proof and can be found in use all over the internet.
So to cap it off, one search engine displaying results in date order for entire Forum. Simples...

To be honest next time add in your device name. This is due to rooting an Android device depends on the device. I use the FF search plug in and my always defaults to the newest post. But I do agree I thing the plugin should be updated

Is there any way to search for a phrase together? Like "tell if I am root". The search results are always for the individual words, not the whole phrase, however I've tried it (quotes single and double, +'s, ANDs). I've also often found that search engines (I don't use Google) give more relevant results, even though they're all on XDA-developers.

Not that I know of. The Firefox search plug in is limited but better then the built in search engine lol.
Is that a real question you have?
Thanks for confirming what I thought.

No, I was pretty sure I was right but wanted to check 100% before "helping" someone with that question.

Can do most of that, just change order to "last posting date". And pick your device obviously from the subforum list
As of today, there isn't even an option to search the forums at all...

[Q] Forum search missing?

I was going to look something up last night and I was not able to find the forum search tools. The only search is the device search at the very top. I thought it might be a temporary issue so I just waited and tried again today and still can't find it. Have I become blind or what?
It's still there (directly beside the device search).
As soon as I submitted the post the other menus along with the search menu appeared...???? Problem fixed but wonder what the heck the deal was?

Maybe the page wasn't loaded properly or something. It never went away for me.
I was looking for the forum search tools. I think both of the searches at the top are meant to find a specific device, although one will somewhat work as a general site search.

That was my first thought last night, I closed and restarted the browser and even the computer. Plus it was the same way today. Just a fluke I guess, I never realized how much we depend on that little button. LOL

It depends on the theme you are using. If you use the "2010" theme, it will be there. If you use the "2013 beta or 2013 beta - 1024" it will not.
Didn't know I had a choice of themes. Have to look into that.

Keyboard settings for long-press numbers on the top row?

I've been scouring the forums and this question has come up multiple times but I couldn't find an actual answer. I did find a post from the [2012] Nexus 7 forums asking the same question and the OP found the answer but didn't detail it.

Any idea where these settings are hiding? I've looked all over the Language and Input settings menu and couldn't find anything...
Thanks!

Yea coming from AOKP makes it kinda painful. Thumb Keyboard works pretty well.
Update:
Tried flashing an AOKP keyboard and it went haywire. Haha. Had to Disable it from settings.
Heads up.

I just saw this post. I googled it.
Was that supposed to help? Great mix, I listened to both tracks on grooveshark.
Did you make the build? I tried a whole bunch of strings on XDA, google, and a bunch of other Android-building sites. I can't find anything.
If I helped you, or made your life better in any way, please hit the thanks button!

Never mind! Sorry for being a complete idiot.
I was over on the OnePlus forum today, and someone posted on my page with a link. Have you worked out if there's a kernel that works to get Wi-Fi and data?
