how to update recovery?

I'm about to install PA 3.15 and they say update recovery first, i saw them running cwm 6.0.2.5 and im on 6.0.1.4
how to update?

Download the latest recovery from their thread which will be in zip format. Then go into recovery mode and flash the file. That's it.

[Q] Nexus 7 (2013) stock recovery

I need to flash the stock recovery, as the TWRP gives an error while trying to update to KitKat. Anyone know how to do this without having to factory reset?

Download the factory image for the rom u currently have from google.
Then run command fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img
While your tab is in fastboot mode

[Q] Can't enter TWRP

Hi Folks,
I just flashed TWRP 2.7.0.0.1 via TWRP Manager and now I can't enter the Recovery.
TWRP Manager showed that I'm using the htc_m8 and /dev/block/mmcblk0p43.
Booting into the Bootloader and booting the ROM (ViperOne 1.3.1) works fine.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Then using fastboot:
Fastboot flash recovery recoveryfilename.img
Fastboot erase cache
Then boot to recovery from bootloader

[Q] Error when trying to flash any rom

Ok, so my rooted, S-OFF device will not flash any rom. I always get "error executing updater binary in zip." What am I doing wrong? TWRP is version 2.7.0.0

What Roms have you tried? Run fastboot erase cache command and flash latest TWRP 2.7.1.0

I've tried Liquid Smooth and CM11. Aside from Goo Manager, I can update TWRP through fastboot right? I've only used Goo Manager, that's why I ask.

Yes, you can flash it via fastboot. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Flash Recovery

I am trying to get 6.0.4.7 recovery on my note 8 so I can flash with a 4.4.4 Nightly ROM but this is in a ZIP file and can only be flashed in recovery
What can I flash first using ODIN so I can then go into that recovery and flash with 6.0.4.7

You need to fint the tar file. It will flash thru oden. Make sure it is for your make and model.

Go HERE, head to the Odin folder and download the tar file. Flash in Odin, boot into recovery and then flash your zip.
