Report which games you played that works perfectly on TP2. Here are a couple of games that I've tried:

The reviews and screenies for this adventure persuaded me otherwise.
I must say Zenonia is the BEST game I have ever played as a Native Windows mobile App.
If you ever got on with Zelda on SNES - this is the way forward. I have not had emotional attachment like this to a top down RPG bash the baddies game since......1992!
I would suggest everyone buys it - then hopefully the dev - Gamevil - will release more magic.
(it was an iphone game which they ported over)

Hello. My name is catcraig and I'm a recovering Zeldaholic.
This might be a stupid question, but how did you get an iphone app installed on a winmo phone? I would definitely pay for it if I could figure out how to get it.

it seems gamevil ported the game to winmo, and tp2 is one of the devices they tested on
i think it is available on marketplace

I have a Touch Diamond 2 so touch only. Can you play this game touch only?

Is there any version of Tetris or Kevtris that works with the tp2? If so is there a virtual d-pad that you have to install also?

Duke Nukem 3D using the spvDuke3d port works quite well. It supports WVGA, but not by default, you have to edit the CFG file.
I use the following settings:

ScreenMode = 1
ScreenWidth = 400
ScreenHeight = 240
Shadows = 0
Password = ""
Detail = 1
Tilt = 0
Messages = 1
Out = 0
ScreenSize = 15
ScreenGamma = 16
(I'm not sure why the width and height are set to half, but that's what gets it to work. Setting it to 800x480 ends up with it going off screen and only a quarter of the image showing up. Perhaps changing screen size would change that?)

Whats your your top A7 Game pick?
For me i would have to say Kongregate Arcade. I can play on this app for hours and never get bored with it. Its packed with endless flash games. And there always adding more. With a loggin system and a rating system this is a must for flash gamers! And might i add it runs super awesome on the a7!!!

I sent them an e-mail about it and got nothing.
It appears than none of the Gameloft games run on the A7.

Runs just fine on my A7.

Air Attack HD

Personally I enjoy the emulators along with the xbox mod

Tegra2 demo of NFS Shift (i tested it and it runs ok)
only one level playable , from here you need to buy the full game (for AT&T network users only i think)

Gameloft games
Just a quick fyi. Some gameloft games work on the elocity. I've tested:
works:
Asphalt 5 (works perfectly)
Assassins Creed (sucks without multitouch)
Sandstorm (ok without multitouch)
Dungeon hunter (works great, lighting seems messed up)
Dungeon hunter 2 (works great, some textures whited out, only on menus though)
Hawx (works perfectly)
doesnt work:
Modern Combat 2 (downloads files but doesn't work)
Avatar (not at all)
Brothers in arms 2 (not at all)
Nova (downloads files but doesn't work)
GT Racing (downloads files but doesn't work)

Can I ask if anyone has successfully got Skype going on their A7. I've been trying but just can't get it going.

- if you got stock, its not working
- if you got the Mod edition, it should work fine, as the build prop fix is included.

Games that work well with N64oid

The Nintendo 64 emulator N64oid was released a couple of days ago. Do you know any games that work well with it? So far, I've had best luck playing Super Mario 64.
Can anyone suggest more compatible games? Let's make a list

Lylat Wars *tested on 1.1.1* (flew around first level)
Super Smash Bros *tested on 1.1.1 and 1.1.2* (attacked and defeated link - laggy but working)
Mario Kart 64 *Tested on 1.1.1* (Raced around first circit - lagging but surprisingly working fairly well)
Diddy Kong Racing (first boss - couple of lag here and there but playable)
Pokemon Stadium 2 (started a battle - parts of screen weren't showing properly and c button up/down was inverted, forced close after +/- 5 min)
Perfect Dark *running on 1.1.1* (loaded intro but when going to select 'agent' crashed out')
Perfect Dark *running on 1.1.2* (loaded intro, but crashed at same point as previously - selecting agent)
Perfect Dark *running on 1.1.3* (loaded intro, and got in to the main game - slow though)
Pokemon Stadium 1 (loads intro without sound, then hangs)
Pokemon Snap (game load and all but the analog/dpad couldn't/wouldn't work - may be fixed on 1.1.2)

Goldeneye 007 *tested on 1.1.2* (very laggy - crashes on intro video (have to skip it with start), glitches frequently, but loaded to Dam level... backgrounds missing though - too laggy to actually play)

Notes:
I've noticed sometimes the games just crash instantly when loading - but if you load another game first then go back in they seem to load up a bit better - this would explain why goldeneye crashed out when I tested on 1.1.1 and perfect dark did not...
Some games (obviously) work much better on other devices than the Desire - some games and comments above may have been tested on another device so may be a little slower or more problematic on a desire, if for example - tested on a xoom etc.
Some games can be improved (on the desire at least), by upping the frameskip to max - a good example of this is Super Mario 64.
A higher class SD card can improve performance.
Unzipping a game (if zipped) can also help improve performance.
There may also be differences between Euro/US games.

If Goldeneye doesn't work, Perfect Dark won't work. Perfect Dark runs on a modified and upgraded Goldeneye engine that really pushed the N64 to the limit, even with the Jumper Pak.

Got to the first boss in diddy kong racing, couple of lag here and there but playable.
Started a game in pokemon stadium 2, started a battle (some part of the screen weren't showing properly and C button up/down was inverted) and it force closed after +/-5 min of playing
pokemon stadium 1, seen the intro, without sound, then hang.
Started pokemon snap, game load and all but the analog/dpad couldn't/wouldn't work..
played from a galaxy s i9000m
(oh, and just an idea, maybe we could put the list of working roms in the first post and keep it edited/updated?, just a though )

also I just noticed 1.1.2 is out and that may fix the up/down c button issue you mentioned

Thanks for the list! In my experience, most games don't work on the Desire, but the developer luckily updates N64oid every other day or so. Eventually we might be able to play most N64 games with it.
By the way, Duke Nukem 3D works pretty good

Zelda OoT closes on entering Castle Town. Anyone else getting this problem?
Turok 2 works quite well. Hard to control though
Paper Mario won't load.
Jet Force Gemini closes after landing on he first planet.

I found a larger Goldeneye ROM which seemed to work (albeit slowly). In fact, only Super Mario 64 runs at a decent speed on my Desire. Does it make a difference which ROM I'm using, perhaps?

goldeneye did actually load for me in 1.1.2 - got to the dam and moved about an inch - its progress!
I assume you don't count the Wii Goldeneye remake?

I got about half way through the first level on Goldeneye before I turned it off due to the poor frame rate. I'm hoping it'll run smoother on the Xperia Play, but in the meantime is there anything that can be done to improve frame rates? Does the ROM you use make any major difference? I'm using Oxygen 2.0.1 at the moment.

Honestly I thought the Wii version would be retarded but I now can say it's really good, at least for single player. The animations were smooth and I think it's the best shooter on Wii in many aspects. I don't even own a Wii. Rented the game while at my cousin's house. If you're looking for an exact remake, don't play the game. But if you want a similar game (and definitely more violent game), I say play it. I loved snapping the dude on the toilet's neck from the air duct lol
Don't bother with it for multiplayer. Split screen SUCKS. 2 weapons per person (plus the hat if you're Oddjob) and you can only pick up each others' weapons. And no voice chat plus stupid friend codes for online. definitely worth it for single player though.

I have it - think it is the best shooter on the wii - the online multiplayer is pretty good (for playing with randoms) I have no friends!

Goldeneye actually runs full speed for me, as long as sound is disabled. The annoying part is the controls... need to find a wiimote.
This is on a SGS Vibrant, though, can't speak for the desire.

[Wish list] Wanted games and apps on WP7

Would like to see Real Racing on WP7. It is the defacto best simulator car racing game on any smartphone. It is like Gran Turismo for portables. Currently it is only on iPhone/iPad.

I'd love to play on my WP7 Mango phone:
- Real Racing or another racing game with good graphics and cars
- FIFA 12
- Halo or another FP shooter with good graphics (see the upcoming Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation for the iOS)
- Grand Theft Auto-like game
- Point & Click Adventure like 1112 for the iOS or the old FADE for Pocket PC

On the same though i never downloaded a game for 6.5 but have downloaded more games on my WP7 then i had programs on 6.5 and yet WP7 does not do nearly as much useful work that my 6.5 did.

[Q] Going from Xperia Play to Xperia S - games related

Hi,
I have a really basic question. I'm planning to upgrade from Xperia Play to Xperia S and I am not sure if all my previously bought games will work on this phone...Or will I have to re-purchase some of them? I am not sure about compatibility, hence the question.
