I was under the impression that it wasn't running too well on the i9000?

You're missing the Gameloft games, but they are unfortunately only available through Gameloft's site instead of the Android Market.
There's no denying they have the highest production values and are the best visually however. For reference, Asphalt 5 on Samsung's app store for the Galaxy S is by Gameloft.
I'd suggest:
- NOVA (action, first-person shooter) which looks incredible and runs flawlessly on the Galaxy S
- Let's Golf 2 (sports) which looks equally stunning and runs perfectly.
I've had problems with the follow Gameloft ones however:
- Tom Clancy HAWX (action, shoot-em-up) installs, opens and the intro logos appear but crashes when it gets to the menu
- Dungeon Hunter (action, rpg) installs but does not run

Somebody help me!
My Samsung Galaxy S already up firmware Froyo 2.2 JP3 and rooted, but all the gameloft like asphalt5 HD, Tom Clancy HAWX, Dungeon Hunter,... all way appreared logo gameloft and error as:"an sd card with at least 45m free is required in order to download the new content" i don't know how? can you guys explain to me

Generally that means you need some free space on your memory card, as it says.
I think Gameloft games install their data on the internal memory, so check you have enough. Otherwise it may be due to whichever lagfix or firmware you're using (ext3, etc) locking write capabilities to your card.

Yeah you need available space for those GameLoft games.

Have you tried quake 3? (kwaak3) Amazing speed, its just desktop-experience (except for the controls) But the latest version acually works. Can yuo do this with Desire?

Hero of sparta is great game too and also quake 3 by kwaak3.

How about a MMORPG category

However on this occasion I think it's more to do with the fact that jp2 and jp3 firmwares have inherent issues with writing to the sd card.
At the moment this is only a temporary fix and nothing permanent...I cant run Asphalt5 for this very reason.

Games that work well with N64oid

The Nintendo 64 emulator N64oid was released a couple of days ago. Do you know any games that work well with it? So far, I've had best luck playing Super Mario 64.
Can anyone suggest more compatible games? Let's make a list

Lylat Wars *tested on 1.1.1* (flew around first level)
Super Smash Bros *tested on 1.1.1 and 1.1.2* (attacked and defeated link - laggy but working)
Mario Kart 64 *Tested on 1.1.1* (Raced around first circit - lagging but surprisingly working fairly well)
Diddy Kong Racing (first boss - couple of lag here and there but playable)
Pokemon Stadium 2 (started a battle - parts of screen weren't showing properly and c button up/down was inverted, forced close after +/- 5 min)
Perfect Dark *running on 1.1.1* (loaded intro but when going to select 'agent' crashed out')
Perfect Dark *running on 1.1.2* (loaded intro, but crashed at same point as previously - selecting agent)
Perfect Dark *running on 1.1.3* (loaded intro, and got in to the main game - slow though)

Pokemon Snap (game load and all but the analog/dpad couldn't/wouldn't work - may be fixed on 1.1.2)

Goldeneye 007 *tested on 1.1.2* (very laggy - crashes on intro video (have to skip it with start), glitches frequently, but loaded to Dam level... backgrounds missing though - too laggy to actually play)

Turok 2 (works quite well. Hard to control though)

Wave Race 64 (Loads up and can whizz around the first course)

Notes:
I've noticed sometimes the games just crash instantly when loading - but if you load another game first then go back in they seem to load up a bit better - this would explain why goldeneye crashed out when I tested on 1.1.1 and perfect dark did not...
Some games (obviously) work much better on other devices than the Desire - some games and comments above may have been tested on another device so may be a little slower or more problematic on a desire, if for example - tested on a xoom etc.
Some games can be improved (on the desire at least), by upping the frameskip to max - a good example of this is Super Mario 64.
A higher class SD card can improve performance.
Unzipping a game (if zipped) can also help improve performance.
There may also be differences between Euro/US games.

If Goldeneye doesn't work, Perfect Dark won't work. Perfect Dark runs on a modified and upgraded Goldeneye engine that really pushed the N64 to the limit, even with the Jumper Pak.

Got to the first boss in diddy kong racing, couple of lag here and there but playable.
Started a game in pokemon stadium 2, started a battle (some part of the screen weren't showing properly and C button up/down was inverted) and it force closed after +/-5 min of playing
pokemon stadium 1, seen the intro, without sound, then hang.
Started pokemon snap, game load and all but the analog/dpad couldn't/wouldn't work..
played from a galaxy s i9000m
(oh, and just an idea, maybe we could put the list of working roms in the first post and keep it edited/updated?, just a though )

Thanks for the list! In my experience, most games don't work on the Desire, but the developer luckily updates N64oid every other day or so. Eventually we might be able to play most N64 games with it.
By the way, Duke Nukem 3D works pretty good

Zelda OoT closes on entering Castle Town. Anyone else getting this problem?
Turok 2 works quite well. Hard to control though
Paper Mario won't load.
Jet Force Gemini closes after landing on he first planet.

I found a larger Goldeneye ROM which seemed to work (albeit slowly). In fact, only Super Mario 64 runs at a decent speed on my Desire. Does it make a difference which ROM I'm using, perhaps?

goldeneye did actually load for me in 1.1.2 - got to the dam and moved about an inch - its progress!
I assume you don't count the Wii Goldeneye remake?

I got about half way through the first level on Goldeneye before I turned it off due to the poor frame rate. I'm hoping it'll run smoother on the Xperia Play, but in the meantime is there anything that can be done to improve frame rates? Does the ROM you use make any major difference? I'm using Oxygen 2.0.1 at the moment.

Honestly I thought the Wii version would be retarded but I now can say it's really good, at least for single player. The animations were smooth and I think it's the best shooter on Wii in many aspects. I don't even own a Wii. Rented the game while at my cousin's house. If you're looking for an exact remake, don't play the game. But if you want a similar game (and definitely more violent game), I say play it. I loved snapping the dude on the toilet's neck from the air duct lol
Don't bother with it for multiplayer. Split screen SUCKS. 2 weapons per person (plus the hat if you're Oddjob) and you can only pick up each others' weapons. And no voice chat plus stupid friend codes for online. definitely worth it for single player though.

I have it - think it is the best shooter on the wii - the online multiplayer is pretty good (for playing with randoms) I have no friends!

Goldeneye actually runs full speed for me, as long as sound is disabled. The annoying part is the controls... need to find a wiimote.
This is on a SGS Vibrant, though, can't speak for the desire.

This isnt a duplicate of the other gaming thread, we only recommend games here (by experience), try to recommend your top games so the quality stays at the top
Doesnt matter if you recommend the game twice, just proves that the game is worth playing!
Beats(free) - (emulator though) - like stepmania but on the phone, you can import stepmania songs to it.

I think it contains ads in it, but you can use adfree to get rid of it.
(I would recommend the snes,nes etc... emulators but the multitouch isnt good enough for playing these console emulator games.)

clash of clans works side loaded but you cant sync a current game since you cant connect to google. If you install play store and service's it can be synced with Google and you can load a previous game.

You should try mushroom wars:} I don't have my hdx yet, but I would love to know if it works!

I should note that while shadowrun returns does work, some text is a little wonky and the game is upside down, but you can fix this by just locking position on the auto rotation. ultimately runs like a dream after that.
to add to this list GTA Vice City runs as well.

I am super happy with my Note 7 (version 2 replaced).
I have no problems at all with this device.
It is a super "gaming machine".
I really like the PSP emulator. I recomend it.

Note 7 is amazing. Just watch my test.
The phone doesn't heat. Everything is smooth.
The first one (version 1 before the replacement) had some issues.

Anyways I did transform my note 7 when i had it into a massive emu machine... then my vita got updated to a better emulation mode... lol so now I'm using that again for emulation gaming. I still will leave the emu on the phone for backup gaming or let other play.

Ive been using retroarch which uses the libreto API to emulate basically anything you can think of, and downloads the cores required to play whatever ROMs you put on your SD card.

I use it mainly for SNES and Megadrive (aka Genesis) emulation, but works well with PS1

Using either one Retro or the standalone one I mention will need Bios files for psx, nes, and gba. Just like other forums it not allow to tell you where to get it but google it ^_^.... Same go for roms...
For RetroArch you put those files in the system folder and the others is either the main folder or the "bios" folder.
One thing i dont like about retroarch on phone atm is the retroarch bar that you cant hide without hiding the controls. It might beable to be disable but idk yet

I discovered that if we change the resolution of Note 7 from 2k to 1920, all games from psp will work perfect on highest settings, even the star war. Great discovery.
