[Update:08/07/2008]WM6.1 GER for ASUS P525 UC Compliant (OS CE 5.2.20273 AKU 1.3.3)

Hey everyone,
Since there is (and will be) no official german WM6 for ASUS P525 I cooked one using a modified version (added language id changing and rebuilding dsm) of vivis and mrtotos Rom Kitchen.

The Base ROM is the OS CE 5.2.20273.1.3.3. To get OEM working I used the original WM5 OEM, added some features of the MOBIZ8 (from the RK) and patched some issues (T9) using WM6 P526 OEM.
NOTE: The ROM released on 07.08.2008 is UC (User Customization) Compliant. This means that the ROM itself contains no user apps. To generate your own ROM customization config I recommend using SDConfigGen.
For any information about UC configuration see the How-To.

ADDED: UC Compliancy (see the How-To)
REMOVED: Any non standard apps (no Adobe Reader, no Java, no additional Games, no HTC Audio Manager, no CloseApps or FreeRam)
How to upgrade/update?
PC
Download the package without or with UC and unpack it.
*Copy BootGalaxy.nb0 to your Mini SD-Card.
Copy ROMGalaxy.nb0 to your Mini SD-Card.
P525
*Press Record + reset. The bootloader will be updated. When finished...
Press Camera button + reset. You should now see the bootloader working.
Wait until you see Press Power Button and Reset....
Restart your P525 using reset
Enjoy!
* (Steps concerning BootGalaxy.nb0)These steps are necessary only once.
If you have done that allready in a previous upgrade/update you can skip that.
Check your Boot-Version: Start -> Einstellungen -> System -> Systeminformation -> Version.
The new Boot-Version is something with 07*******.​

Hi Guys,
Yesterday I noticed that all my SMS I sent the last days weren't actually sent. Now, there are two ways fixing this.
Download the new ROM and update the whole ROM again
Patch your P525 like this:
Download the sms_provider.cab attached below
Run that on your P525 (Upload it to your P525, open Explorer and click on that file)
Perform a soft reset
Go to Start -> Einstellungen -> Telefon -> Dienste
Click on Mailbox und SMS and on Einstellungen anfordern...
In the opened Window enter the number you see at SMS-Dienstnummer again manually. Note: This seems stupid, but it will force a reset of that number. Otherwise you will not be able to send SMS.
Click OK
Should work now.

Also das ROM ist wirklich gut:
Besonders schnell, schneller zumindest als das WM 5 vorher.
Nur es gibt es paar Sachen die noch Stören:
Tastatur zum SMS schreiben etc. noch im alten Style
Bluetooth Manager ist Englisch
Sofern ich noch was finde, melde ich mich wieder

für den Bluetooth Manager versuch ich grad noch ne deutsche Version zu finden. Was die Tastatur angeht, weiß ich ehrlich gesagt gar net so richtig, was du meinst ?! Die Tastatur ist die Standardtastatur von WM6.1. Oder kannst du mal n Screenshot von ner Tastatur zeigen, wie sie wohl aussehen sollte

The mobiz versions are running with 520 MHz.
Is the tool included to increase the speed?
Which tool do I have to use to do such things.

You can't just overclock the cpu using some tools. (All you can do is using ASUSs CPU Mode Tool).
To overclock the CPU I need to recook the ROM. If thats what you want, I'll see into it.

where can I get the WinMob6 ROM Udate for the HTC TyTN? The HTC Support told me that there is no update available...but there was an V6 Update...

All the official WM6 builds are here
Edit: if you want a unofficial 6.1 cooked build, HardSPL your phone then chose a rom to flash from the many that are here, they are far better than the old WM6 buils.

1) download hardspl from here and flash it
2) reflash the radio of your choice
3) flash a rom
About the roms, if you want english, and want Manilla 2d, I would flash one of Joshes roms from here
There isnt many german roms.
Starbase's german M2D here
If you want an english plain rom, I would suggest CRCs here
But there are many others I haven't trired, so the best is to look around and flash.
IF YOU WANT TO KEEP A ROM FOR A LONG TIME AND AVOID STABILITY ISSUES, PLEASES FLASH A OEM ROM BETWEEN COOKED ROMS

If you HardSPL it overwites your radio rom, in order to unlock it ect.
A radio rom, is the bit that controlls all the phone functions, the signal you get, and the type of connection you get (gprs/3dge/3g/H) newer isn't always better but you will want a 1.4+ radio in order to get 3G reception.
List of Radio roms.
Beware, flashing your radio can be fatal, so make sure you have enough battery, and dont disconnect your phone while your doing it.
To be safe I would recomend you do it this way

Hallo erdenkind und willkommen beim Flashen. Sei gewarnt, dass Du das ganze auf eigene Gefahr machst. Du kannst den Hermes durchaus "zerschiessen"!
Nun zu Deinen Fragen:
Ein Gerät hat immer ein Firmware und ein Radio Rom. Du kannst i.d.R. beide unabhängig voneinander flashen.
Bevor Du ein "gekochtes" Rom flashst, musst Du ein HARD-SPL durchführen. Ich würde Dir dies hier empfehlen - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=340468
Mit der 2.60 hat bei mir alles funktioniert, bei der 2.10er hat's geklemmt.
Als Rom benutze ich zur Zeit dies - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=458456 und zwar die "All Back". Laeuft sehr zuverlaessig, ist aber englisch.
Beim flshen laeuft er bei mir immer bei 100% gegen den Poller. Das Utility meldet einen Kommunikationsfehler und auf dem Hermes bleibt alles bei 100% stehen. Keine Angst, Batterie raus, wieder rein, starten und los geht es (der erste Start dauert etwas, nicht nochmal neu flashen) mit dem Kalibrieren. Sollte mal was schiefgehen, findest Du hier immer Hilfe, meistens jedoch auf englisch. Deutsche Roms für den Hermes kann man uebrigens an einer Hand abzaehlen...
Ich hoffe, dass ich Dir ein wenig weiterhelfen konnte. Viel Spass beim Ausprobieren...
...Eins habe ich noch vergessen. Zum Flashen solltest Du den Hermes auf mindestens 50% Batterieladung haben, 90% ist besser. flashen ist uebrigens auch ueber eine Sd-Karte moeglich. Eine Anleitung dazu gibt es im WIKI

Probleme mit activesync gibt es manchmal. Schuld daran ist zuweilen die Einstellung unter Start - Einstellungen - Verbindungen - USB to PC. Dort den Haken bei "Erweiterte Netzwerkfunktionen" entfernen. Falls das nicht hilft, melde Dich nochmal. Über das Wochenende bin ich nicht zu hause, eine Antwort kann dann etwas dauern...

Make sure you have your operators OEM rom downloaded and saved. There isn't a good noob way to just save your rom from your phone (that I know of), so reflashing is the way to go.
You can use something like pim backup to save your contacts and such.

You can dump the rom but as far as I know it doesn't produce a flashable file off the bat, but all the OEM roms are on the wiki

yea if you were to dump the rom using a tool called "grab it" you would then need to spend time decrypting the dump and then have knowlege of how to use a rom kitchen into rebuilding it back into a somewhat usable rom image.

I just read on Twitter that the unofficial WhatsApp app - has Wazapp for the Nokia N9 and Meego released their source code on GitHub and as open source.
A part of the app was written in C + +, the Messenger was developed in themselves but in Python.

Nevertheless, with the now open source and thus access to the existing possibility to WhatsApp functions to a major step toward WhatsApp for bada succeeded.
Although there is still no bada developer of the matter takes, it will probably be only a matter of time before someone and we can expect the first alphas and betas.

It's C++ code and use of Qt4 libraries and QML, it's a starting poing but it needs a lot of work on BADA.

Da es noch keinen offiziellen Port von WhatsApp für Bada und/oder den PC zu geben scheint habe ich mich mal damit beschäftigt ein Workaround zu basteln. "Wirklich" auf dem Bada System WhatsApp zum laufen bringen kann ich damit zwar auch nicht, jedoch wird der Messenger damit ggf. auf dem OS "nutzbar" (mangels Handy mit Bada System kann ich diese Theorie jedoch nicht vollständig überprüfen). Ihr solltet diese Info / Anleitung erstmal vollständig lesen bevor ihr mit dem "basteln" abfangt, da es für den einen oder anderen sicher nicht die ultimative Lösung darstellt. Ich persönlich nutze ein uraltes iPhone erster Generation. Damit laufen die meisten Apps zwar nicht mehr jedoch immerhin WhatsApp nativ ohne Workaround. Diese Workaround Arie mach ich eigendlich nur für 'ne Freundin die ein Bada Handy hat, jedoch dermaßen viele Kontakte hat die WhatsApp benutzen..

Because there is no official port of WhatsApp for Bada and/or PC I tried to figure out a workaround. A "real" working WhatsApp for Bada you can't run with this but it's "useable" (but i can't try it because of the lack of an bada mobilephone). You should read this guide first before trying something, because it's maybe not the perfect clue for you. I myself have a very old 1st-Gen iPhone. The most new apps don't work but thank god WhatsApp native without a workaround. This workaround is actually for a friend of mine that uses a bada phone, but has a lots of contacts using WhatsApp.
Grundvoraussetzungen
1.) Internet fähiger PC mit zB. Windows XP Pro, 7
2.) Internet Flatrate (für den PC)
3.) RDP Client für Bada zb. ww*.samsungapps.com/topApps/topAppsDetail.as?productId=G00000409808&listYN=Y
4.) BlueStacks für Windows von htt*://bluestacks.com/
5.) Anmeldung bei einem Dynamic DNS Dienstes (zB. ww*.dyndns.org)

1.) PC with internet and e.g. Windows XP or 7

Nachteile dieses Workarounds
1.) Permanent geöffnete Ports 3389, 5223 auf PC (AV Suite Software sollte vorhanden sein)
2.) PC muß laufen wärend die App genutzt werden soll
3.) PC muß statische IP haben im LAN (glücklicherweise nicht die WAN Verbindung)
4.) Push Nachrichten werden nicht unmittelbar signalisiert, ausser auf PC was ein gelegendliches Nachsehen im RDP Client erforderlich macht.

Disadvantages:
1.) Permanent open ports 3389, 5223 to your PC (you should use a firewall or something else for protection)
2.) PC has to run while using the app.
3.) PC has to use a static [?] IP for LAN (but fortunately not for WAN connection)
4.) Push messages are not shown (but on PC), so you need to check your RDP client regularly.
Vorteile dieses Workarounds
1.) WhatsApp läuft auf auf Bada mittels Android Emulation über RDP
2.) Die Meisten anderen Android- und Windows Apps sind ebenfalls über Bada nutzbar
3.) Als Nebenerscheinung laufen die meisten Android Apps dann auch auf PC

2.) The most Android and Windows apps are also running on Bada
3.) As a add-on benefit the most Android apps are running on PC.

This workaround uses Remote Desktop to run Whatsapp from your PC. This way you see Whatsapp on your phone but it run's on PC.

Ich habs mit dem neuem faux12b geflashed,das rom läuft soweit satbil und ist voll stock htc gehalten;also ohne diese tweaks.
Wie kann man denn swipe2wake aktivieren?

du musst ma sweep2wake iwas apk bei xda suchen findet man iwo wenn nich dann in google...jede rom läuft mit jedem kernel stabil soweit man kein scheiß drin hat

ich würde ne andere aktuellere rom nehmen...weil die build version is älter und zB die arhd rom oder andere sind aktueller und haben bessere tweaks sowie bessere akkulaufzeit...sorry is aber so...mein favorit is momentan die RD-MIUI sense version also die aktuellste mit faux11m läufts einfach prima gute akkulaufzeit und joa )

Not working / issues
Restoring data partition from backups will lead to boot issues on some ROMs (including OOS) if FBE-encrypted. It's not a TWRP issue but rather a side effect on how FBE works.
Download latest working image here (twrp-3.2.1-cheeseburger-127-20180106-190542-CET)
Download previous working image here (twrp-3.1.1-cheeseburger-84-20170820-194433-CEST)
While this TWRP is now very similar to codeworkx', it's a completely different source base and is independent from him.
This variant is a bit more bleeding edge and contains changes that are not available in TWRP images built from the official repositories.
If you want ultimate stability, consider using his TWRP instead.
Supported ROMs (encryption support):
OxygenOS 5.0.1
Android 8.1 ROMs (tested: halogenOS)
Please let me know in this thread whether it works for the ROM you are using.

It has, I already have seen it before. Not much tho. I don't have a OP5 yet but I'm getting one soon and I want this all to be sped up.

If you Need some testing... here I am.

TWRP working, have make backup and all ok for now. Only can not dimming the light in twrp.

Just got my OP5, if you need to test something, i'm in.
Unlocked bootloader, all i need is to flash a working and trusted TWRP

I installed that TWRP and when I booted straight into it, it worked. Then I just tried to reboot to recovery again, and it looks like the old recovery patched itself?! TWRP was gone

The recovery is automatically recreated from the recovery-from-boot patch which resides in your system partition. That's default behavior on stock roms.

So how do I get TWRP to stick then?

ich würde das gerne machen. Ich (eigentlich die Ehefrau) habe im Augenblick ein OP3 mit TWRP und 4.16. Aktiv benutze ich ein OP3T mit Lineage (Dianlujitao) Das Oneplus 5 ist heute gekommen. Und ich will nichts damit machen, bevor ich nicht ein lauffähiges TWRP habe.
Angst vorm Brick habe ich keine, denn es läßt sich immer alles wieder hinbiegen.
