I just read on Twitter that the unofficial WhatsApp app - has Wazapp for the Nokia N9 and Meego released their source code on GitHub and as open source.
A part of the app was written in C + +, the Messenger was developed in themselves but in Python.

Nevertheless, with the now open source and thus access to the existing possibility to WhatsApp functions to a major step toward WhatsApp for bada succeeded.

It's C++ code and use of Qt4 libraries and QML, it's a starting poing but it needs a lot of work on BADA.

Da es noch keinen offiziellen Port von WhatsApp für Bada und/oder den PC zu geben scheint habe ich mich mal damit beschäftigt ein Workaround zu basteln. "Wirklich" auf dem Bada System WhatsApp zum laufen bringen kann ich damit zwar auch nicht, jedoch wird der Messenger damit ggf. auf dem OS "nutzbar" (mangels Handy mit Bada System kann ich diese Theorie jedoch nicht vollständig überprüfen). Ihr solltet diese Info / Anleitung erstmal vollständig lesen bevor ihr mit dem "basteln" abfangt, da es für den einen oder anderen sicher nicht die ultimative Lösung darstellt. Ich persönlich nutze ein uraltes iPhone erster Generation. Damit laufen die meisten Apps zwar nicht mehr jedoch immerhin WhatsApp nativ ohne Workaround. Diese Workaround Arie mach ich eigendlich nur für 'ne Freundin die ein Bada Handy hat, jedoch dermaßen viele Kontakte hat die WhatsApp benutzen..

Because there is no official port of WhatsApp for Bada and/or PC I tried to figure out a workaround. A "real" working WhatsApp for Bada you can't run with this but it's "useable" (but i can't try it because of the lack of an bada mobilephone). You should read this guide first before trying something, because it's maybe not the perfect clue for you. I myself have a very old 1st-Gen iPhone. The most new apps don't work but thank god WhatsApp native without a workaround. This workaround is actually for a friend of mine that uses a bada phone, but has a lots of contacts using WhatsApp.

Disadvantages:
1.) Permanent open ports 3389, 5223 to your PC (you should use a firewall or something else for protection)
2.) PC has to run while using the app.
3.) PC has to use a static [?] IP for LAN (but fortunately not for WAN connection)
4.) Push messages are not shown (but on PC), so you need to check your RDP client regularly.

This workaround uses Remote Desktop to run Whatsapp from your PC. This way you see Whatsapp on your phone but it run's on PC.

The Base ROM is the OS CE 5.2.20273.1.3.3. To get OEM working I used the original WM5 OEM, added some features of the MOBIZ8 (from the RK) and patched some issues (T9) using WM6 P526 OEM.
NOTE: The ROM released on 07.08.2008 is UC (User Customization) Compliant. This means that the ROM itself contains no user apps. To generate your own ROM customization config I recommend using SDConfigGen.
For any information about UC configuration see the How-To.

Yesterday I noticed that all my SMS I sent the last days weren't actually sent. Now, there are two ways fixing this.
Download the new ROM and update the whole ROM again
Patch your P525 like this:
Download the sms_provider.cab attached below
Run that on your P525 (Upload it to your P525, open Explorer and click on that file)
Perform a soft reset
Go to Start -> Einstellungen -> Telefon -> Dienste
Click on Mailbox und SMS and on Einstellungen anfordern...
In the opened Window enter the number you see at SMS-Dienstnummer again manually. Note: This seems stupid, but it will force a reset of that number. Otherwise you will not be able to send SMS.
Click OK
Should work now.

Besonders schnell, schneller zumindest als das WM 5 vorher.
Nur es gibt es paar Sachen die noch Stören:
Tastatur zum SMS schreiben etc. noch im alten Style
Bluetooth Manager ist Englisch

für den Bluetooth Manager versuch ich grad noch ne deutsche Version zu finden. Was die Tastatur angeht, weiß ich ehrlich gesagt gar net so richtig, was du meinst ?! Die Tastatur ist die Standardtastatur von WM6.1. Oder kannst du mal n Screenshot von ner Tastatur zeigen, wie sie wohl aussehen sollte

You can't just overclock the cpu using some tools. (All you can do is using ASUSs CPU Mode Tool).
To overclock the CPU I need to recook the ROM. If thats what you want, I'll see into it.

Ich schreibe mal in Deutsch weil es sich hier um ein Deutsches Rom handelt und hier mehr Unterwegs sind die auch Deutsch können.
Also ich hab das ROM File installiert und bin ganz zufrieden damit. Einziges problem ist derzeit das ich nichts finde um QuickGPS nachzuinstallieren. Hab zwar IGO 8 zum laufen bekommen, aber die Navi hat ca. 30 Minuten gebraucht bis brauchbare GPS Siganle gefunden hat.
Hat einer ne Idee wo ich ein funktionierendes QuickGPS for Windows Mobile 6.5 bekomme? Alles was ich bis dato installiert habe, hat entweder gesagt falsches Sicherheitszertifikat oder "Failed to create empty document".

Yes its for daily use, I have test it for a view weeks before and its for me a requirement to create a ROM for daily use!!!
Sorry for the problem with the QuickGps function, I have seen that issue before in my test phase but I do not have that long fix time as described.

Hi mista.duke,
you have to use the free "Home Customization" from MS Marketplace, you can add a new Panel called Weather and its for free.
Also a good app is the "Lock Device" App for automatic lock function.

I recognized this morning that my Diamond had a much lower transfer rate on WLAN than my Artemis for he same download. As I assume that the WLAN drivers are included in the ROM do you think it could be caused by the drivers or is the diamond known for a bad WLAN module?

Regarding the WLAN issue I found that the setting was set to battery friendly (by default ) instead of the medium position. I will try if this improves things.
On issue with the ROM:
When I plug in the USB cable it's not asking for Active Sync or USB direct connection as it should. I have to pull up the menu manually and change it.

Hi Froggerboy,
the thing with the USB cable function is okay so far because I have not include the popup in the ROM.
For the Quick GPS function I do not have the problems of getting 3D fix and with other ROMs before I got not that benefit as it should be... so it was not neccessary for me but I am loocking into it.

I thought the diamond has A-GPS. Ain't that good enough? Quick GPS isn't working on my diamond but TOMTOM and Smartrunner get a fix rather quickly.

Did you try MTTY before flashing? If you got a problem, that the cook doesn't have it might come from too many different flashes.
Give it a try.
I have installed the current Jelly Time Beta-8 and now I have a heavy battery drain.
With Ice Cold Sandwitch there are no problems. On Jelly Time I have to recharge after 4 hours (((

Have you tried previous beta versions of the ROM and experienced the same problem? Beta 8 features a new kernel so I wouldn't be surprised if some things have changed.

Oh, I'm sorry. I did't realize that I wrote in german language.
I solved the issue and installed the beta-8 again. The main problem was, that I had a radio zip on the SD card and every time I started into recovery mode, I was asked to update the radio and I was still unable to start the recovery mode itself. I solved this problem by taking out the SD card, start the recovery mode and slide the SD card again to flush BETA-8.
Now it works again.

Ah! Just move the pdimg or whatever the name of the file is from the root of your sd card to avoid future issues, but you probably figured that out already.

just installed beta9.1 on my dhd, and it's working great so far. two problems: auto brightness doesn't seem to be working, or it's too dim. also, have to long press power button to wake screen. normal for other roms is short press.

Also running v9.1 - auto brightness, long press & Blue tooth are all known problems. RB should have everything worked out soon, he's really committed to getting JB perfect :fingers-crossed:
I having the b7 but i just saw that the BT doesn't work. :crying:
I can not transfer files from my computer or other machine using the BT.
I can see the BT device even pair to them but failed to copy.

Restoring data partition from backups will lead to boot issues on some ROMs (including OOS) if FBE-encrypted. It's not a TWRP issue but rather a side effect on how FBE works.

While this TWRP is now very similar to codeworkx', it's a completely different source base and is independent from him.
This variant is a bit more bleeding edge and contains changes that are not available in TWRP images built from the official repositories.
If you want ultimate stability, consider using his TWRP instead.

Unlocked bootloader, all i need is to flash a working and trusted TWRP
I installed that TWRP and when I booted straight into it, it worked. Then I just tried to reboot to recovery again, and it looks like the old recovery patched itself?! TWRP was gone

The recovery is automatically recreated from the recovery-from-boot patch which resides in your system partition. That's default behavior on stock roms.
So how do I get TWRP to stick then?

Angst vorm Brick habe ich keine, denn es läßt sich immer alles wieder hinbiegen.

Alright, TWRP is working now, testing everything.
MOTO 360 Gen 1 Back To Life AGAIN
I had an issue yesterday as my moto 360 gen 1 was dead and I replaced the battery, did a factory reset and noticed that the apps won't sync at all and after extensive research I found the cause was that the version of google play services on the watch was too old which causes the issue.
The only was is to update the google play services on the watch in order to solve the issue.
Here is what I did:
1- head to the below link and download the latest google play services for wear OS.

2- head over to the below 2 links to download (ADB Installer v1.4.3) and (Minimal ADB and Fastboot)

3- follow the below:
I would double check that debugging in enabled on the wearable and the Android Wear app. Otherwise if you have a Moto 360 the only way you can debug your app on the watch is through Bluetooth.
It is important to note that when your app is not signed for production you will have to install the app directly onto the wearable itself.
If you need to connect via Bluetooth do the following:
To enable debugging for wear do the following:
On the handheld, open the Android Wear companion app.
Tap the menu on the top right and select Settings.
Enable Debugging over Bluetooth. You should see a tiny status summary appear under the option:
Host: disconnected
Target: connected
Connect the handheld to your machine over USB and run:
adb forward tcp:4444 localabstract:/adb-hub
adb connect localhost:4444
Note: You can use any available port that you have access to.
Note: if you get unable to connect to localhost:4444: Connection refused. Try running:
adb connect 127.0.0.1:4444
After this if you run adb devices you should see your wearable on the list.
4- when it comes to the point of writing down the install command on ADB don't use the command written in the guide instead use the below code:
adb -s localhost:4444 install -r pachagename.apk
if you used the command in the guide you will get an error message "Already Exists" but the above code is for reinstalling the package so it works 100%.
after getting the success prize on ADB all the apps will sync beautifully without any issues at least from my end, any app like facer or watch master are syncing now without any issues.
I hope this guide would help anyone with this issue.
for fix App Sync Issue and Solution
first you need to cumputer and softwares (connectify + VPN ) for share Vpn Wifi (for mobile + watch )
just have sync app and watch faces with Wifi Vpn

The last step,- installing an APK, is not working!
Look at the screenshot, the cursor is busy all the time!
Maybe I made a mistake in CMD by writing the last line?
Edit: Now CMD INSTALLED THE FACER APP!
BUT: The Facer App is on the Moto, but it is not working!
Maybe I have to install the companion app only? And where I can get it?

Installing facer on the Moto was no problem, but it is the same App I am using on the phone, but I guess, that I need the companion App!?!

That's is correct. Because Facer and WatchMaker decide not to support 1st Gen smart watches anymore, when you install them on phone the companion app isn't installed anymore. You need install old version of Facer on phone and manually sideload companion app with adb. It can take some time before seeing it appears on smart watch. Good luck!

Oh, I tried this version on my phone, but it couldn`t connect to internet!
Internet connection is starting with vers. 4 or higher!
What about Android Wear, it must be an older version too??? I tried a lot of cpmanion apps, but I became always the same failure: look at the screenshot

Your 3.1.1_1437-(1437) is not on APK Mirror, but I found it on APK Mirror UK.
Now I installed the 3.1.1_1437-(1437) on my phone and your companion app (com.jeremysteckling.facerrel.apk) on my Moto!
But ADB gives me a failure again!
