Info about one x - HTC One X

Hi guys, i use sony for a long time, iam interested in one x.
I want from you to give info how is battery life on it, how performance overall is, does it has some kind of problem and etc.
And most of all your opinion about camera ( i used satio, arc, and now xperia s) so camera is important.
Thank you.
Sent from my LT26i

Phone is awesome, its gonna be a real advance to go on HOX from those phones you used.
Javi se na pm ako hoces vise info

Came to the HOX from Xperia X10 and Arc
It's just awesome!
Only bad thing is that the battery drains quite quick when you use it hard.

IMO,design quality is very good, and the phone itself looks great, especially white colour (I've got the white one).
But when i was touching the upper-right side of the screen I could hear something like a ''plastick crack'' or so on the back-don't know why...But that happened maybe 3 times and i have my X for 3 months now.So...Nothing to worry about i think

[q] htc one v vs xperia neo v??

so both phones are almost same.one v has more internal memory but neo v has front cam and HDMI port!!!, one v is already on ICS but neo v will have ICS in about a month.
so I'm confused!!
help me!

Hi,
I use htc one v and my bro uses sony xperia neo v
I like htc one v more bcs it has better camera quality and performance. I swear it is very good. And also it works smoothly without any lag so far*normal use*
I bought my one v from singappre and it has 1gb only for the internal memory.
Another thing that i like from one v is it has better casing material, not just plastic. Also, when u turn it on it takes seconds only unlike neo v which takes minutes.
Well the only reason why i like neo v is the front camera, but it's solved already cz i have asus transformer.
Everything back to you now
Sent from my HTC One V using XDA
i agree with you about the build quality of htc.also i can live without front cam but neo v has HDMI port which is driving me crazzzy
Sent from my MB525 using xda premium
Ohh, it also has 3d camera thingy that i never understand lolol. We dont use hdmi a lot here so we dont get bothered to consider it.
But one v can use bluetooth instead or wireless connection to connect to your tv etc
Sent from my HTC One V using XDA
the 3d sweep panorama will work only with a 3d tv. my tv doesn't have dlna (wifi connect) so HDMI is a good feature for me.
did u tried HD games on both phones?
Sent from my MB525 using xda premium
Nope, hd games are paid apps we dont have credit card
Eventho it has hdmi port i still pick htc one v. Bcs the only things that make me wanna buy neo v is only the front camera and hdmi. But on htc one v, we get good casing materials, good led notif design, brilliant UI, fast performance, best camera quality, and you can even calibrate your keyboard which makes u easier to type without typos.
Im not forcing, im jst sharing what i think
Sent from my HTC One V using XDA
I am a neo v user, and visit this forum everyday because my friend owns htc one v, and i think the main differences are hdmi and front cam which u all know already, processor speed is same
Its totally up to you
Sent from Ice Cream Sony
for me the benefit of neo v is just the hdmi port.
i read somewhere that the benchmarks of one v are better than neo v although they doesn't matter much but still.
btw thnx for info
Sent from my MB525 using xda premium
The main reason i picked htc one v is because of htc sense. It brings me to the best way to experience android. UI matters a lot to me

The friend Aarush was talking bout was me..
Personally I'm loving the One V, performance is awesome as per the single core. The built is very nice. It feels durable to hold and feels solid. It's pretty much upto you cuz both are practically the same! For me the front camera and hdmi shouldn't be a deal breaker at all..

Support from HTC? Are you serious?! They have ****ty quality support! If you send them an email they will tell you general things and sometimes the email is automatic. So the support from Htc side is ****, everybody knows this!
And for the OP: As someone already said, go to showroom and compare each other out. The only person who you'll need to trust is YOU! You will have to decide for yourself. But my main guess is that you will end up with One V!

for the Neo V Speaker Volume and inCall volume is pretty good and with xLoud enable, it goes above average, but for HTC One V the speaker and inCall volume is below average (according to GSM Arena)
for me, I use Neo V and InCall volume and speakers are great even in novice environment !

[Q] How to improve Xperia S camera quality?

Our device has a really good camera ,but the size of the photos are very small... When I was on stock ICS rom ,the size of the photos were only 2-2.5MB ,so it really decreases the quality. There is a mod or something to improve this thing?

I no longer like SONY's products, because the parts are very low quality, in two months the battery cover started moving, also my soft touch plastic is not soft anymore, it became glossy, and easily gets scratched, so planning to buy HTC One X+ next month, and as for camera, I'd say you can't do anything with that, I've tried a lot of roms and applications , the came wont get better, it has a lot of noise, and pictures look awful at night )) So forget about enhancing that camera.
My cover is still firm and fit... Maybe you were practicing for rugby Match

Better get the Butterfly or wait more?

I wonder if you think also of getting the HTC Butterfly or wait for a 4.7/4.8'' 1080p by HTC that would be out in May...
This SLCD3 1080p is so sexy :silly:

Yes but I hope it's worth the wait like getting a 12/13mp camera...HTC should evolve in this domain too

dont know if my next phone would be a HTC but whatever they will do next it will be big....specially with 1080p displays now looking like to be the next trend this year...
I'm going to be getting a new phone in April. I think it's best to see how the S4 holds up against the Tegra 4 and other new SoCs before making the decision.
I agree that the SLCd3 screen looks great. I love the screen on my One X so if I can get that but with more pixels I will be very happy.

Get the Sony experia z.
Killer specs and waterproof.
I saw a video comparison between both screens xperia Z and Droid DNA(same screen as Butterfly) and the blacks/colors were much deeper on the HTC screen.
The xperia Z looked nice but the blacks were like on a SLCD1 screen
I don't know, I mean I will definitely buy a new phone if the HOX doesn't get s-off within the next couple of months. So for my next phone I'll make a deep research about how open its system is.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
No more HTC's for me, plus the battery on the Butterfly J is completely underpowered! 2020mah when it's putting out 440ppi on bright SLCD3 display??! It's the HOX / 1800mah all over again! I guess the Butterfly J+ will pack a 2500mah...might wait for that lol.
The Xperia Z is a fine looking lady but the Sony Android skin always looks laggy to me and I hate the viewing angles of Sony screens, the Xperia T only needs to be tilted a few degrees and it's unreadable!
SD card and user removable battery next for me, I'll see how the Samsung S4 turns out, the 5 Octa processes look great on paper!
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
I'm thinking of waiting to see how the SGS4 looks, or whatever they decide to call it. I know I swore I would never get another Sammy after the fiasco I had with my old SGS2, but I really miss having a removable battery and SD card. I am also considering the Xperia Z, too. Probably wait and see what the screen and rom development is like when it's released before I make a decision.

HTC will anounce their main flagships for 2013 at MWC next month my friend, the rumoured M7 is one of them
What do you think of the Lenovo K900?
that is one good looking phone.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Definitely wait. A bunch of high-end phones will be announced/released in the next few months. It's not like you need a new phone, you want one. So I'd say wait.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Id say wait too.
Remember when we got our HOX? Just months after that the plus version was released and it looks the same will happen with the butterfly as well.
In my view we should change phones every 1 1/2 or 2 years.Since we are in the trip of spending a lot for top notch smartphones its best to wait around to get something much much better than HOX rather than getting something slightly improved. But that's just me......
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
My upgrades due on my desire but as I've got me hox there isn't anything worth upgrading to now.. love me hox. Won't be getting another HTC though with their crappy s-off policy.
The Lenovo looks nice, or that waterproof thingy.... oooh too much to choose from.. (soon). If it wasn't for touchwiz I'd think about the s4.
Now an s4 with sense, wouldn't that be awesome?
I will wait for MWC 2013 then, I hope they will come out with a 12mp camera this time and 1080p on 4.7'' so I will wait to May as usual.
Droid DNA is already making iphone 5 retina eating the dust so a 4.7'' with 1080p will be...:silly:
Guys, why starting this thread in this HOX area? Why don't you put this in General discussions or Android General? Jeees....
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Definitely wait. Gonna be better HTC phones with 1080p display and more importantly a bigger battery than the stingy 2020 mah battery in the butterfly.
Sent from my HTC One XL using Tapatalk 2
Defo wait! There will be much better phones and a lot sooner than you think.
My One X is my first and last HTC, maybe when HTC gets NEXUS 5 I'll think about it.
I've had with the arrogance of HTC towards its power users...

New NXT Design? C530X

I saw this new phone leaked. The bottom clear bar makes me really think of the NXT series of phones which are some of the best looking Sony phones. Hopefully there will be an Xperia S successor featuring the same design philosophy.

Why the successor must always be the same design? Not design wise, I mean in terms of importance of the device to the company and the classification of it.

More power needs more physical space, and also more battery. To to that, or they make a thick as **** phone, or thin large one.

Dude you don't need more space for more power. If you look at the way processors have been progressing, each year they get smaller and more powerful. Its only because people want huge screens. Look at how successful the S3 has been and that screen is huge. Bigger battery means more thickness which I could care less about anyways. The razor maxx is still damn thin and it has a huge battery.
Basically there is no reason that can't cram a quad core chipset into a phone the size of the xperia s.
