Hello community.
I've recently installed the ICS MIUIv4_2.7.27]v.6.0[AROMA] [Android 4.0.4] ROM on my PLAY. I am loving it so far but there is one(and only)thing that bothers me, I tend to listen to music from the speakers but since I've updated the ROM the volume is very low and quality not the best as I used to have. No option for xLoud not any other loudness manager. Could anybody direct me somewehre I could get it to play music louder and better??
thanks
The play store has a bunch of apps that do.this
Personally, I use Equalizer, just mess with the EQ sliders until.you find something.that works.

Hey all
I really want to sell my ipod touch because im not using it for much but music, id love to be able to listen to music on the SGS2 and enjoy it but its just not as loud as the ipod.
I have £400 westone headphones, i know theres winamp, poweramp and dsp manager but what would be the best combination and settings for loud volume and quality sound etc
Thanks
I use poweramp with dsp...give you a full range equalizer to tweak the sound and many customizable options
What sort of setting do you use?

I installed dsp manager but it doesnot change my sound.
Maybe I need a newer version?
Where could I get it?
Thx

I've heard many people say its possible to make the stock headphones of the galaxy nexus sound like Beat's or even better using just the stock Music equalizer. So Im wondering what setting's do you use in the equlaizer? i mainly listen to hiphop music and rap but sometimes rock/country.
Screenshots would be helpful
I'd like to find out how is that possible too?...

Try Volume+. It has settings for "Beats Emulation" and will work in all applications without fiddling with their own EQs. It's good for "overclocking" the output of your headphones and speaker as well.
Ever since I've upgraded to using JB ROMS, I too, just like everyone, have to the low volume problem. But seeing that I've always found most Android ROMS on any device to be too low to my liking, I've always done the following as a workaround:
PowerAmp for Music playback. PowerAmp has the best EQ on the market and since the app itself directly controls the volume of music playback, you can set your EQ to whatever you like and raise the DB to it's max. On JB, you HAVE to raise it to it's max period.
Music Volume EQ. This app, although wonky at times, is the best secondary EQ app out for raising total volume without having to disable PowerAmp EQ (like Volume+). When applied on top of PowerAmp on JB, you'll have your loud volumes, but it requires setting it's EQ settings very high. This app will also work for Video playback as well.
This was the only combination of things I've tried to raise the volume on JB ROMS. Try it out yourself and let me know what you think.
Poweramp ftw. My favorite player, lots of themes, good eq, and lots of options. It definitely did help with the jb issue, but still not like it should be. We shouldn't have to find a workaround, but nonetheless, thanks.

I fully endorse Poweramp. One of the best paid apps I've bought. It's just so user friendly in every aspect, from making playlists to EQ settings.
SoundBoost
I installed soundboost yesterday and used it to listen to podcasts on the way to work. I had to toggle it to notice the difference, but it was just enough to make listening comfortable.

Hey guys,
I'm running Skynote 8.3 at the moment with the Perseus Kernel.
I primarily use Poweramp as my audio player of choice. On top of that, I use 320kbps MP3's and FLACs.
I've tweaked the DAC through STweaks to the best my ears can appreciate. The same goes for Poweramp.
Now, is there any other method of further increasing audio quality with these two running simultaneously? I'm looking to increase the dynamic range of my music a bit. I primarily use ATH-M50's or Super.Fi 5EB's.
I'm not quite looking for things like Ac!d audio, Beats, etc. I'd rather not have 50,000 audio processors running simultaneously either. Ac!d always messed up for me anyway..lol.
Any ideas? I'd like to install things that are easily removable rather than a slew of software included in a single package.
Thanks!
Install Sony's xload and clear sound audio enhancements
You can get the zip from pimp my ROM in the play store

XLoud I tried once, it was too loud lol.
I think I'll give the other enhancements a try though, thanks!
Hey guys!
I am looking for a rom based on 4.1.2 .
Important thing what rom must have :
- the best able quality for xperia play - i am someone like audiophile
I do not demand high performance (because its jellybean) but will be good when i can play games like deathworm, guerillabob, minecraft and pokemon's at MyBoy emulator without lags.
Also rom shouldn't have too many bugs for normal phone using.
For now i have tryed Play Zcm 4.1.2 but this rom lagging for no reason. I mean the UI sometimes lagging and shortcut sometimes dont works.
What rom should i try for now? Also is there any "audiophile" here? If yes, what music player are you using?
I don't think I am an audiophile, but I like listening to music and my favorite player is Poweramp. It really has tons of options... check it out

did you try cm10?
but why JB? any feature or software that requires it?
btw: using apollo
the hardware restricts the quality here. if the file is not lossless, the headphones can't handle every tone and the phone itself is badly shielded you can't do anything about it. equalizer and software enhancements are not a true enhancement in terms of quality.
I liked Pac man Rom I'm on slim bean now

Well i think from JB we can do better audio quality like from others version (or im wrong?)
I am using only flac's (losless) audio files and superlux HD668B headphones -- not the best, but sound quality is really cool.
For now i am trying Xperia play Ultimate HD 1.0 and sound quality is just, ahh. AMAZING! Like a the best i had hear! I think for now i will stay at this rom.
Also i tryed the apollo player but sound quality was normal. Not very good, not bad. Just good.
