Task widget is "Application Monitor" from more services app or category under samsung apps. That widget can be resized to look exactly like the one you see in screenshot
I think he meant the size of the status bar. It looks like you set your font size to "Big", bigger than normal that is.
Maybe it's another Phone?
I see you have custom Icons for data usage and maybe gps too? So the size of the top bar could be messed up while changing the stuff?? Thats the only way I could explain it to myself^^
Heh, I noticed this too. Suspect it was a test build from a prototype device before the software and UI was finalisrd. Given the signal icons are CDMA and the messaging icon is similar to stock Android's, I'm betting whatever we're seeing was intended to be a Sprint device, as the original Epic 4G had a similar substitution of the messaging icon.

I really like my first impressions with this new ROM.
1. After the initial install I switched over to launcher pro and lost the transparency
in the notification bar. Is there any way to get this back?
2. I am running the Koush test kernel. I have done quite a bit of research to try and find the perfect kernel combination, but there seems to be a lot of debate. I am obviously looking for speed and battery life coupled with the ability to listen to music while the screen is off without any skipping.
3. This is probably just a matter of time until this happens, but is there an alternate theme that changes all the menu's from white to black?
4. Are there any known battery notification skins that are compatible with MIUI? Looking for a circle battery icon.
Sorry for the list.

Warning: I'm a complete noob... so someone should confirm.
But from what I read on launcher pro's forums, LP doesn't extend the wallpaper through the area where the notification bar is. Is your bar black when you set to completely transparent?

that changes the dock and not the notification bar
Hey, I really like the UI of windows phone 7, its sheer simplicity and how good it looks on the Super AMOLED screen... anyway, would it be possible to make a theme that immitates WP7 in all the ways possible? I know that there is an app called Launcher 7, and I use it, but its not a true theme because the status bar makes it just look fake. However, with a theme that themes the status bar naturally and other apps such as contacts, dialer etc, I think it would be a great start, perhaps even remove all TW blue and try to turn it wp7 green. I know there are limitations on what one can do with tw and theming, but it would still be a great project and I know the outcome would be great if one of you amazing themers decided to undertake it! Well, please let me know what you guys think and hopefully this will/can get done!

Edit: Just to clear things up... I would like to use Launcher 7 for this theme, so Icon theming is not prudent, however other aspects like Notification Bar, Status Bar, Contacts, Dialer, Notification Bar Icons, Lockscreen (6 locksrceen mod would make me happy), and whatnot are preferred... Also, the color can be changed in Launcher 7, so a themer could take liberty in changing the color of the status bar or w/e, but i prefer the black stock one with the wifi and signal to the left, Time and Battery to the right. Battery would be preffered to be left alone, but it could be shrunk or put vertically and then number icons could be next to it, indicatting charge... kind of like a ##I scheme with the I being the bar and the ## being the percentage, again, these are just ideas
They do have the status bar in UberMusic and a theme for ubermusic that looks like Zune WP7, but you can only use that bar in the app.
Until then, here's something that will help you make launcher 7 feel better. The official color codes from Windows Phone
http://www.31a2ba2a-b718-11dc-8314-.../windows-phone-7-wp7-default-color-codes.html
Just put them in where you change the tile colors.
I mean,i have good ideas on how to go about doing things, but I wouldn't know where to start as I havnt used photoshop nor Gimp in 4 years... even though I did have traditional classes for it...

That is my home screen. As you can see it is manly the wording and I would like to get everything including the settings, phone, sms, and web, and possibly the app drawer to say "settings, phone, sms, web"
If it is possible to put them into the roboto font also, that would be fantastic to match my soft keys
Thank you!
What app are you using I've been trying to do that since my Droid x

i'm using minimalistic text for weather and bobclockd3 for the clock and i'm running GummyNex rom
excuse the silly volume thing - I must have pressed volume down before the power button for the screenshot.
minimalistic text widget 1x1, custom layout, then select static text, then change click on widget launch app to what you call it.
dock removed using adw launcher ex.

You want something like a theme, but instead of just changing the icons into different pictures you want them changed into text. Try asking in the themes section, if you get enough people who want it somebody might make it. The only problem I see is that there are 350,000+ different apps that could be in your app drawer. I don't see anyone having the time to change ALL of those possible icons unless you were paying them a full time salary.
The black background of HTC's Sense looks really lo-tech to me, like they're not even trying to make it look decent. In my opinion, they could have at least given it a gradient layer.
Anywho, is there a way to get a transparent app drawer background without changing launchers? I've really grown to like Sense GUI and all it's useful little widgets
If this isn't possible, can the app drawer background at least be changed to a custom image of some sort? Or as a more general question, can the drawer be altered in any other way, shape, or form, besides the column/row number?

you can change your theme, by using uot kitchen, just change the part you like , in your case transparency under options...
here is a link : http://uot.dakra.lt/
I don't know. I've used UOT Kitchen before, but I've never come across any such option. Would you, or anyone else, mind telling me which tab to look under?
Tried it in my rom, but it didnt work.
You need to decompile rosie.apk and change colors in xml files.
Custom images not possible.
Google it on xda forum.

Oh, well. I guess I can live with a black app drawer then I'd have tried doing that, but since a more experienced person couldn't do it, I don't see why I should bother with it.
@b02
You misunderstood, I meant the app drawer, not the pull-down status bar, but thanks for the reply =]

with semi transparent status bar.
thank you.
i like the one in here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21115614&postcount=1 it's just that it's 4x5.
i cannot post to that thread...low post count.
thanks!
You could go launcher ex it has that option to change the app drawer background
If you use Go Launcher, you lose the Sense widgets which is considered by many to be one of Sense's biggest features... And the OP mentioned that he liked the widgets.
And this thread was ages old!
App Drawer and Dock
Has anybody got a zip that will make the app drawer and dock transparent. I'm running sense and no ROM.
Let's see what you got!
I keep getting invalid image file when I use the app and when I go on the internet on my phone to try to post something. I don't know what's up with that.
Here you go. I love this phone. The edge shortcuts allow me to flow back and forth quicker without using multi windows or hitting the home key. The camera is top of the line and the finger print sensor is sweet.

Xposed framework and unicon.
Rooted
Build.prop edit dpi to 590
Dynamic Notification to make my lock screen like the Moto X
G3 Wallpaper with Nova Launcher to organize the screen the way I like it.
The edge panel is really nice in that I can keep the main screen so much cleaner than I used to on my G3 like in the 4th pic.

But like his notification panel isn't an ugly mix of neon green and awkward navy. How did he change his to grey?
Edit: also how did he get rid of the S finder and quick connect icons.

Hes running forever locos theme.. your talking about all the toggles and all that. Yes, thats the theme.. mixed with some xposed, blurred systemui for the pulldown blur, and i believe its wanam or gravity box allows the removal of those icons you speak of, but in this case i believe the systemui was modded in the theme to get rid of that. Otherwise check out wanam or gravity

Still trying to make the most out of the edge panel. Love having a clutter free home screen tho!
Nice job everyone! My home screen is still a work in progress but I thought I'd mention one thing I like to do. With "ss launcher" you can extend your home screen vertically. I like it that way cause you can just flick the screen up to get to stuff below. (also applications page scrolls vertical once there). Anyways. here is an example of how the home page is extended vertically. So you see, below the usual home screen, I put an icon, a calendar widget and another widget called "recent apps" which I set to be a 3x3 grid so I can can easily go back and forth between apps one handed.
still mostly stock
Hot Note Edge.
