When I play certain games or listen to Spotify the vibration function acts as some sort of wanna be subwoofer, it vibrates along with the beat. This seems like a huge battery drainer to me. Does anyone else notice this happening? The games I have noticed this most on is Monsters Ate My Condo.
Apparently this was being caused by the auto haptic feature under settings-sound. You can allow apps to use haptic or just turn it off which is what I did to resolve the issue.

On both CM9 and AOKP, I've used the preinstalled equaliser and when I skip songs, there like a popping sound and sometimes, if I skip enough times, the sounds will go to the maximum regardless of what the settings is and cannot be changed except for muting without a reboot. Also, when that happens, it'll start playing out the speakers even if headphones are in. Has anyone else experienced this and knows a solution?
Alright, so my issue is that I use my phone to play music at night, and as my alarm in the morning. Having the music low enough to be peaceful while sleeping means my alarm also goes off that peacefully. Using a really loud alarm sound isn't enough.
What I'd like to be able to do is somehow separate the two. Whether Bluetooth volume gets ignored completely (and instead having it use my separate media and alarm volumes), having Bluetooth volume be a master where it still also uses the other two, or anything else that lets my alarm volume be louder over Bluetooth than my media volume.
Has anybody seen any app or trick that can do anything like this? I wouldn't even care if the music plays over Bluetooth as normal and the alarm goes off at its proper volume right out of the phone, ignoring the Bluetooth. Just anything to get my heavy sleeping self up in the morning while enjoying my music throughout the night (I sleep quite poorly).
Hey guys, got my phone a couple weeks ago, I love it but one issue, the volume is constantly changing up and down during videos or music. It does it with speakers, headphones or Bluetooth. I've tried disabling any sound effects apps or normalization to no effect.
Has anyone experienced this or have a solution?
Just giving this a bump.
I haven't experienced it. Did you try wiping cache and./or data? That would be my first to do. Then if check each app I have downloaded.
Volume does change
I love the Moto z play, too. But when I am listening to music or watching a video, and there's a notification or incoming call, the volume is reduced and don't go back to normal.
I had to close and reopen the app.
So ever since the android oreo update, the notifications control for any music app keeps the lockscreen on. Google play music, Spotify, and Pandora all keep the screen on, if I just skip, pause or play any music, the screen never shuts off, I have to manually turn it off with the power button. This is really annoying as it unnecessarily drains battery when the screen doesn't turn off.
Anyone else experience this? Anyone know how to fix this?
Anybody notice this? Everytime I play, it's very smooth but when any notification comes in, or call, or SMS, the game fps dips down and the game is choppy, sometimes unplayable. Do not disturb mode does not help either. Anybody have any inputs on this? Any suggestion/fix is appreciated. Thank you.
there should be a setting in game launcher to prevent anything from opening during game. I don't play games enough to know what it's called exactly but i do recall seeing something of that sort in the settings
