yep .. desire s appears on video but as you can read in the memo associated in the same youtube page it works even on "HTC Desire, HTC Desire S, HTC Wildfire, HTC Aria, HTC Incredible S, HTC Droid Incredible 2, HTC Thunderbolt, HTC Evo 4G, HTC View, HTV Flyer, HTC Sensation, HTC Evo 3D and the myTouch 4G" (the memo contains also text of all procedure ..
I think is interesting for the bad_boys question, first is a all-in-one procedure to SOFF, Recovery acquisition and Root, after becouse to root a Desire already on GB require a more complicate procedure respect a froyo based one.

Revolutionary does not root your phone a jmclue said. It uses temp root (I believe) to gain s-off and flash a custom recovery.
The easiest way to obtain root after using revolutionary is to flash an already rooted custom rom.
If you want to root your current rom I think there is a zip file you can flash to do this.
I personally rooted my desire and flashed recovery using an older version of unrevoked (I think it was 3.21). I s-off'ed using alpharev some months later. It is not necessary to be s-off to flash custom roms. If you can get it to work I personally think it is easier to use unrevoked as it is a one click solution. Read all the guides before attempting this however.

I also used unrevoked 3.21 .. but I'm not sure that it works on 2.3.3 (as - it seems - Revolutionary does) .. naturally another way is to come back on froyo.

Yes revolutionary is for 0.93.0001 & 1.02.0001 hboots and is very very simple and straight foward to use

S-off has nothing to do with android version on your phone or with root. Everything depends on your hboot version.
Revolutionary does the job with 0.93 and 1.02 hboot, for older versions of hboots Alpharev Reflash Utility should be used.
The problem with Unrevoked is that it cannot bypass never hboots to flash superuser to system.

imo jmcclue has given the right advice and dont do anything else. You can find detailed instructions in the guide he has referred to but the overall picture is like this:-
- Use revolutionary from revolutionary.io to get SOFF. As part of this process you will also get a custom recovery.
- Flash root package from revolutionary.io if you want to get root on current rom else choose a custom rom and flash from recovery.
Thats all

So why my HBOOT says its a BRAVO huh? I know its a desire because the name on the box, hboot and working roms of desire. IS IT POSSIBLE TO RE-ROOT AND S-OFF BY UPGRADING THE HBOOT TO THE GOOD VERSION?
From personal experience on a Desire, messing with the HBoot can have a chance of bricking the device. I got stuck where I could only enter commands through fastboot and adb, then tried everything possible to get it back to no avail.

Root 2.2 is it possible?

I had tried to root wildfire who was updated to 2.2. Now I had tried to root the phone. And near to the end there writes
Error:failed to get root. Is your firmware too new?
Does that mean that is impossible to root wildfire while hi is on 2.2 version and I must downgrade it to 2.1 version to root phone?
And how will I downgrade it?
And can I upgrade it again after downgrading.
Sorry for my bed grammar, and please help me.

Did you use revolutionary method? It gives you s-off, and the ability to flash a custom recovery. It does not upgrade-downgrade your ansroid version. Go to settings, about phone, and there you can see your android version. Hypothetically, without flashing a new rom, like cm7, you are still on sense, so nothing has changed except the fact you have root access, which you can find out installing titanium backup from the market.
Have a happy new year with your new rooted phone.

No but i remember having to run through unrevoked again after flashing an RUU. Possibly to add root/SU app again as i think the RUU i used removed the super user ninja app. But Revolutionary stayed on the HBOOT screen. And unrevoked took like 2 mins to complete
