[STOCK] [DUMP] SGH-i727 Skyrocket 2.3.6 UCKK1 system

Here is the OTA from the Skyrocket, its Android 2.3.6. It will work for our phone as is, but will need some att stuff in settings gone. Probably as simple as using our setttings.apk, idk. DO NOT TRY TO FLASH THIS, its just a dump. For the devs, if they dont already have it.

Just did. Its gonna be more work than I thought. Endless fc's. The devs will definitely be able to use it though.

And, now that I think about it, this probably wont do us much good. Ill see if I can get those guys to deodex it for me.

xultimate deodexes without being connected to the phone now thats awesome

won't we need a conversion package , same like the skyrocket need's for our's ?

I digress... my folder just hadn't refreshed to show everything yet. Is this the same dump that was posted in the AT&T fora?

The "conversion" is their kernel. That's it.

Out of curiosity i flashed one of their roms. No major issues if i flashed jugs kernel except downloading apps from the market causes a reboot. Doesn't do that on their kernel but screen rotation is weird with theirs

New ICS-Kernel for skyrocket port...

Any one willing to try a new kernel for me?

This kernel has init.d and custom bootanimation ability. Please report back as I do not have my phone back yet to test myself.

Same kernel with some mods... Will do more modifying when I get my phone back. Hard to do too much with nothing to test it on...

does the use of this kernel mean better battery life? ICS rom + ICS kernel right?

Well it was running good race I wiped my phone installed a new rom and retryd kernel sticks at splash ecerytime.. so I tryd it with 3 diff roms now all stick idk what's up

Hopefully yes.. again I can't test until I get my phone back... You will have to test and report back..

no, it won't.
I'm gonna charge my battery when I'm home tonight and try out the kernel, tbh my battery life hasn't been too bad atm. idle battery drain is extremely low.

What other roms did you try? This will only work with My Skyrocket port. Will not work for gingerbread roms...

Try booting into the Rom after flash then go back to cwm. And flash kernal. This has worked for me before. In other cases. This will also tell you if its a Rom problem maybe you got a bad download.

I think you have to apply to be a recognized developer. I think that is kinda wierd. I would think XDA would follow my work and when they feel I deserve it, They will give it to me...

yes i am im always on 4g and i was on De-odexed and same problem and now on odexed ... and still the same problem and i dont know what to do ?? and are you having problems with it ... if not can you tell me how to fix this problem .

No problems but I just saw your other post about tethering and I don't put that kind of demand on 4g.
What I can try maybe is tethering my laptop and seeing if its a demand issue.
Have you posted in the wicked thread to see if those doing the rom dev have any thoughts ?

There's a known issue with TW based ROM's where when using 4G there are random reboots. We're all hoping it gets fixed with the final release.

Sence 4.0 ported to a Samsung

Now I know its the International GS2 but still pretty interesting to see that a sense 4.0 ROM is booting on a Samsung see it here and there just might be hope for our beloved T989

it boots that's about it... I stopped working on it after I got it to boot... I think it was about the time I got CM7 working good & forgot about it.

I'd like to hear anyone's experience with this. I like the idea, but his thread didn't seem to have any "success stories."

I flashed this a few days ago and it works no problem,except Google now the cards and search box dont show text for whatever reason, some have this problem but in the op he said he couldnt replicate the problem, all the rest of the modded gapps work great and look better inverted, I'm gonna keep running this and hope the problem gets fixed

Just to let you know his newest upload (justinbean8-7.zip), Google Now works. I had the same problem you did, but flashed this baby on to my Inc2 running Aero's CM10 and v12 kernel and it worked like a charm.
