Do you have it moved to an extra SD card? I know with my Xperia Play I had to wait about a minute after the phone booted up before I could use apps I had moved to the SD card.
I think the XDA app usually installs to ext-sdcard(if present) by default. If so like Spec said you have to give it time to scan after booting before it will be available. You can check or move it from the "manage apps" settings panel. eb

Very bizarre problem. On one of my homescreens i keep shortcuts of my most used apps. After a new install I've noticed the XDA app disappears after a reboot. All other apps are fine. I've reset my phone thus my homescreens several times in the last 5 months trying different roms. This is the first time this has happened. Any ideas?
I'm on DW 2.7.

That happened to me after I moved XDA app to the SD Card.
Moved it back to the Phone and now it sticks to the screen.
I hope this helped you.

Looks like your log provider apk is force closing. Are you running a stock or custom rom?

If you are rooted and have a custom recovery get into recovery (hold power and volume up and when you see the first samsung screen you can let go) scroll down to advance use the power button to select then scroll down to fix permissions power to select if asked choose yes and it will do it's thing usually takes a couple minutes when finished reboot and hopefully it will be problem solved

Oic yea can't do it with stock recovery
Go to applications in settings and then go to list all apps. See if the app is there. If it is, clear cache and see if that fixes it.
Also temporarily, you could try to use terminal emulator from play store to kill the process. Not sure if you need root to kill.
Type...
Code:
ps
to list processes
Code:
kill PID
to kill the specific process. Pid of the process to kill will be shown when you first type ps.

I went to apps and found the app.. Clear cache wasn't an option so I forced it to stop. I don't get the pop up anymore but when I click the phone app or my messenger app, it just goes to a black screen.

I put the 32gb version of that in and it works just fine. I would be interested if you get the 64bit version working as I did a quick search before I bought mine and did not see anything saying it worked (or that it didn't).
I've got a 64 and it works. I'm going to be rooting my phone soon so the card and the device will be wiped around that time. -Ara

Try swiping from the left edge of the screen. The menu was moved there in the latest update.
