I just encountered this problem for the first time today I've never had this happen before. When I open Google play I can't go in to "my apps" by pressing the menu button all I get to pop up is settings and help is there anyway to fix this to get my apps to pop back up. See attached

Try swiping from the left edge of the screen. The menu was moved there in the latest update.

Hi gents. Just upgraded to this awesome 747...but have a silly problem with the xda mobile app. Every time I hit the back button to close a thread it closes the app. Very annoying! This didn't happen on the old SGS Captivate. Anyone else experiencing this?

I only experience this when the app is minimized, reopened then I press the back button.
But thats minor. Issue with mine is it rarely displays the pictures. Which is annoying especially when looking at a new rom

My problem is three fold. The app freezes when i open pm tab, it sometimes develops major lag almost to point of non responsiveness, and i can't upload pics with xda premium (have to use tapatalk to upload pics).
Make sure you dont have back to kill activated. It kills any app your in by pressing the back button. Development options

You may be right. Not sure if it's exactly the same but i remember a setting "when backing out of a program with the back button, it will kill the app instead of running it in the background." I'll check into it
Edit: found it. It's in development options. Both settings are. "Don't keep activities" is the one i was referring to. I just tested it and it will accidentally close the app when pressing back. It thinks you want to leave the app.

I've had the same problem! Not really sure what's causing it but its annoying!!

Just read some reviews on the app and found that a lot of other phones are having the same issues, so its the app that needs to be updated or unless there is a way around it some how..

Looks like your log provider apk is force closing. Are you running a stock or custom rom?

If you have a custom recovery you can try fixing permissions

If you are rooted and have a custom recovery get into recovery (hold power and volume up and when you see the first samsung screen you can let go) scroll down to advance use the power button to select then scroll down to fix permissions power to select if asked choose yes and it will do it's thing usually takes a couple minutes when finished reboot and hopefully it will be problem solved
I only have the Android recovery

Oic yea can't do it with stock recovery
Go to applications in settings and then go to list all apps. See if the app is there. If it is, clear cache and see if that fixes it.
Also temporarily, you could try to use terminal emulator from play store to kill the process. Not sure if you need root to kill.
Type...
Code:
ps
to list processes
Code:
kill PID
to kill the specific process. Pid of the process to kill will be shown when you first type ps.

I went to apps and found the app.. Clear cache wasn't an option so I forced it to stop. I don't get the pop up anymore but when I click the phone app or my messenger app, it just goes to a black screen.

Does anyone else have an issue when tapping on apps? When I tap on apps in the play store they often highlight and doesn't actually take me to info about the app. Like this

How can I get rid of quick remote from notification bar? Even after freezing the app it still shows on there can't seem to find any setting to the it off the notification bar drop down menu. Anyone having an idea? Using a LG G Pro.

Are you talking about quick remote or quick memo? I don't think quick remote stays in notification bar. Or are you talking about slides?

Here is a screen shot. Ever since I activated this app the remote stays and can't be taken off. I even froze the app and it still is in the notification drop down menu.

Oh, I think I had that same problem. I think I had to delete all the devices to get it to stop doing this. Also, it has a feature that allows it to automatically start devices when it connects to your home WiFi. Make sure that is disabled first. If that is not the problem then simply delete all devices you have set up in the app and it should stop.

Nope that doesn't help. It is only for the remote to show up automatically when connected to a WiFi connection you can select. Also freezing doesn't help it either. I also can't swipe it off the notification bar. It sits here forever.

Then delete tv1 and it should go away. If you have other devices set up you'll have to delete them also. This is why I quit using this app.

You might try SD Maid. Open the app, slide over to app control tab, tap screen to refresh app list, then scroll down to quick remote, tap it, then select freeze app. You can also use SD Maid to delete apps. You might have to buy the pro version. Not sure.

LG told me there would be no way ones opened the app to get the notification bar remote status gone. That is totally stupid.

You should just be able to tap on the QuickRemote button again in your drop down. If you've removed the button (or never had it in your dropdown toggles), then swipe all the way to the right of your dropdown toggles to "Edit" and then hit the "+" in the upper right corner. Now, when you tap on the QuickRemote toggle, it will toggle the controls that appear in your notification dropdown.
I hope that helps. What I described is the normal behavior on my device. I haven't removed or frozen the app and I'm stock/rooted.
