this seems like alot to ask but im not very confident with the entire S-off and tacoroot processes required for rooting the newest version of the stock software of the HTC Droid Incredible 2. Im more of a Motorola type person and have never had a HTC phone and Im asking if someone could possibly make a tacoroot and s-off walkthrough video for 6.01.605.05 710RD software version of the Dinc2. I have not found one on the internet any reply, video, video link, would be very helpful. I have looked through numerous forums and am not confident undertaking the process on my own. Again thank you for even reading this, anything would be helpful

Actually yes he can s- off and root
If your not confident with doing such process why not just unlock bootloader to gain root access?

Not really. No point in a guaranteed voided warranty and a restricted unlock. Anyone can get S-OFF, so why not do it and not deal with all the workarounds for HTCDev unlock?

Have you tried this thead. I know it has helped others. It is a little more for noobs it seems like. I am planning on using it because I just got a replacement dinc2 from vzw. I was hoping someone would make a video also because this new software seems a lot harder to root than the old one was. But if nobody comes up with a video I will try this. http://androidforums.com/showthread.php?t=592064

I'll clue you in on the problem....xlite is a rom for the international galaxy siii and you are in a forum dedicated to the AT&T version. One would deduce that you flashed the wrong rom on your phone. My suggestion is to read, read, read before you flash anything else if you are able to unbrick your phone.

Dude, everyone else flashed it with no problem at all. If you had a problem, its YOUR fault. This is why devs have to put a disclaimer with there roms, cuz stupid people mess up there phones and blame it on the devs work. They arent the ones who did something wrong to your phone. you can do reviews of roms without people subscribing to your channel.
Not sure why everyone is being so rude.
To the OP, you don't need devs' permission to do a review. If you have good reviews, people will watch on their own. Also it doesn't hurt to post more, and having a link to your channel in your signature and posting a link to the review in the ROM thread. People will watch (especially people thinking of flashing ROMs) before they do it. Hope this helps.
Thank you
Thank for all the input.
You can hate all you guys want. i am new to all of these things i will review roms and hopefully someday be big on youtube.

Watch allaboutandroids YouTube videos as he does great reviews. If you're not at his caliber your videos are poor quality in my book. I like the idea, just don't believe you'll be any good. Mounted camera two free hands and very knowledgeable about rooting and the roms history, not something you'll just be able to pick up and help into. Make sure you read the OP and if it's AOKP or CM10 make sure you know the little things that are broken or borked. Make sure you can show how battery is so you should be on at least the 2nd-3rd charge cycle to show. And don't be afraid of criticism cause YouTube and internet tough guys are notorious for picking on phone reviewers, rom as well I'm sure. Good luck.

... but how can I use my Note 7 again? I never installed the "Stop the 60% battery limit", and I had it off for month now. I am afraid to turn it on, because supposingly T-Mobile will automatically, no matter what, install a "Brick this Phone NOW" update. At least this is my understanding.
That said. The hardest part is, that I do not have the time, nor the "understanding", to filter through a thousand post, "deciding" what is useful info and what is not. As great as this site is, it is also the downfall for someone like me.
So, if someone out there feels like wanting to be my HERO, please tell what to do. Even though you probably did it already a thousand times in this forum before, be my Obi Wan Kenobi and guide me in the right direction.
Thanks,
