no. because if you cant find the stock rom or know how to pull the rom for a RUU you have no business doing dev work...

I do know how,but when I put in my phone its gonna take make back to stock Rom and which I don't want
The way is easy you just have to get it out of a folder when the setup starts and as I said before I ain't doing it cz I don't wanna go back to stock rom
"Behind every great fortune, there is a crime!"

pleas stop trolling.. You know exactly where the stock roms are, and are only doing this to troll.. Reported

Dude I aren't I downloaded the one that helps u if u bricked ur device I want the zip one because if I run the one I downloaded its gonna delete everything!!! And give me the zip but everything is gonna be gone I'm not bothered to reinstall 85 apps

When you want to develop a ROM, you need the stock that has an install wizard (RUU) and extract the rom.zip from it, and then extract system.img from the rom.zip and the next step, next step and next step as you said you know how.
For a start, I show you how to extract the rom.zip. See : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27586482&postcount=1235
Then if you are not sure what to do with it, stop asking things for developing rom. (and stop PM too).
To be a developer is to start from scratch or at least from the RUU, not simply porting other people's job and make/claim it yours. You need to know at least what is apk, jar, apktool, smali & baksmali, compile and decompile for the basic developing.

And this right here is exactly why i don't develop. I'm a student, i have enough learning on my plate right now. Lol

Are we done arguing?
The only trolling I see, is from those of you flaming the OP. XDA is not a place to conduct yourselves like this. If you choose not to help another member, that is fine. If you see a post or thread that deserves a Moderators attention, just use the report feature and one of us Moderators will look into it. Do Not engage that member, or start a flame war over it.
TBH, your flaming is far worse than posting a thread asking for an RUU.

But there is no one to help!!but I'm sure that lots of other devs have taught you and teached you........ but me?? All they do is always put me down,if I ask a dumb question they start nagging on my head that I'm a damn looser and ALWAYS mean to me

I already give you a start on how to extract img files / rom.zip from RUU. That is the basic. After you are successful with that, then will come the next step.
For a start, I show you how to extract the rom.zip. See : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27586482&postcount=1235
Can you do the first step first ?
And also I wrote You need to know at least what is apk, jar, apktool, smali & baksmali, compile and decompile for the basic developing., so at least help yourself to understand further by searching for them on google, even there are various threads about these in xda.

If that happens, just report it, and it will be looked into. In all honesty, XDA is not a help site. We encourage all members to do some footwork, demonstrating that all measures have been exhausted before creating threads, asking for help. More times than not, you will find what you're looking for.
ckpv has provided you with some useful resources to get you on your way. With that said...

[Q] flashing ADDONS to an installed ROM only guide/tut for noobs?

is there a tut for this for us noobs?
basically i would like to flash this addon:-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17412603&postcount=6646
to this ROM i have installed:-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1040121
cant post in the thread (less than 10 posts)
also can anyone tell me if this update would work with Cool3D AceS v2 as it was intended for Cool3D AceS v1 ?
thanks in advance
Just cook the addon (battery percentage, flip windows animation and ubuntu fonts) for cool aces v2 with out kitchen yourself.
You can create your own in http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/
Tut for uot kitchen in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=990829

You did not understand what I wrote, but you unterstand what was written in the first link you posted?
I assume you are a grown up person and so it should not be that hard for you to write something like "I do not understand what you wrote". This is a helpful post and not this **** you posted!
And only because YOU do not understand it, it does not mean nobody unterstands it. And if you would be able to use google, you could have unterstand very easy what I wrote:
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=cook+uot+kitchen
thanks jessuey! from what you are saying you have to 'cook' a new ROM (from the existing zip ROM with the addons required) then re-flash the entire newly created rom?
Presumably theres no ad-hoc way to install addons after the ROM has been installed?
thanks again
it's not the rom it self that your cooking/creating in uot kitchen but rather only the add ons that you want to put in your phone eg: bat icon, fonts notifications icons and so on.
you know what matdroid its elitist star star stars like you that put people off from asking questions in the first place - there was noob in post title!!! I have had my bravo for what 1 week, rooted, flashed etc in 1 day. Try sharing knowledge as i now see what kitchen/cook means thanks to a HELPFUL post! you could have answered by saying simply google 'cook a desire rom' as there isnt a thread on here (even though there is) or posted your link to begin with! 'without a kitchen' in its literal sense make no sense at all!!!
most roms i have seen have addons mentioned (NOT updates) yet there is no guide on here about addons for noobs as far as i can see... try doing a forum search for addons and you would see what i mean.
in this instance there is a zip file attached that can be downloaded which i now can see is a UOT file...
Its allot of terms to understand...

I wrote "with out kitchen" and not "without kitchen". A small but very big difference! I really like to help people and xda is made for asking / helping.
But if someone answers my posts like you did, he/she should not wonder when the answer is written in the same style (what goes round, comes around).

Pre-root RUU?

I am working on my phone now to debrand it. Not a big problem. I was just looking for a new RUU where i can extract the rom files to install it with a goldcard...
and i wondered if it would be possible to pre root such an extracted ruu...
You can pre root an ruu. But then u can only install with custom recovery. And without s-off you can't flash a custom recovery. If u can signed a update.zip with a htc certificate, then all is possibel, but i thibk, that you can't

dude how did you debrand your phone? i tried this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1142529 and it doesnt work..
You should be able to do this via an open source RUU installer
Your question indeed was interesting... Here's a couple open source RUU utilities I spied that may be of interest to you.
OpenRUU Here
or
HTCFlasher Here
I like your thinking... possibly opening the door to soft unlocking on the gsm side.

I'm almost certain anyone of those tools would work, the kicker would be making an .exe or .bat for everyone else that dont have a linux box to use(me included). Its a bit out of my range, but I would gladly try any method that someone else produces.
Also with the YANG tool we would not have to flash the entire ruu, we could just flash the edited .nbh. Thanks insink71, now we just have to find a gifted dev to get onboard.

How do devs create a "custom" rom?

How do you guys do it? it amazes me, Id like to try, Are there any guides anywhere? You guys here at xda do an amazing job.
Look in Chef Central. It's actually pretty simple using the android kitchen to make your own custom ROM the hardest part is getting everything setup to do it. Porting a ROM from another phone is another thing and there was a thread somewhere in here with step by step instructions on how to do it but I don't know where it is exactly. It has something to do with putting the Incredibles boot image into the other phones ROM. You would still need the kitchen setup to do a port so start there.

I KNOW THIS ISNT THE PLACE ... but

just thought it would be easier to get my answer by some good-sensed people unlike myself .......
ive noticed a lot of people made minor mistakes with programs/options/rooted ways and thought it was OK to go .... but caught themselves stuck at the samsung bootloader screen ... SO ... im asking politely ... because i installed a FONT that crashed my system ... im a [email protected]$$ .. i know ... would someone be willing to upload their "twrp backup" of their stock rom ... i installed a font and now my phone wont go past sammy .. already tried factory reset and wont work thru TWRP .. this might help others get their phone back to life also ...
thanks again if someone makes it possible to upload the file somewhere for us all
