I have this build also and I dont see it in the toolkit. Do I just need to wait for the toolkit to update or is there a manual way to do it. I just came over from the DInc and Im amazed with the speed of this thing..

Help please.

Hello all. I'm having the worst time rooting this phone. I have windows XP. I've tried the one click method and tried thru the command prompts. So anyone have any ideas how to do this on XP?
So I'm assuming you're having a driver problem... is the phone recognized properly when you plug it into the computer?
It comes up like its ok

Have you tried using the GNex Toolkit yet?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392310
I used this on my replacement device with no problems. Unless this was the one-click method you were using before
Rooting
Have you tried doomlord's easy rooting kit...just hit the runme.bat button,while the phone's hooked up,and that's it

Use the gnex toolkit and follow the instructions carefully. It is the easiest way in my opinion.

Although I recommend the Gnex Toolkit too.
Is your phone still being recognized when you go in to fast boot? I was having driver problems last night and it would recognize when the phone was powered on but not on fast boot. Somebody suggested downloading PDAnet and it fixed my issues

Nope, it's a delta update, which means that it's not a full ROM and relies on the image that's already loaded on the phone.
From IMM30D to JRN84D?
Mmmmm ok..I will wait so..still not really clear on my mind what people can do whit this zip..

If you're running the IMM30D build, which the Play Store nexuses originally shipped with, it will update to Jelly Bean. On all other builds, it will most likely fail to flash.
Wow, currently installing the OTA using Gnex Toolkit, cant wait.
Mine originally came with the IMM30D but it got the OTA withing 15 min of having the phone on. Of course now I'm on Rascream, I'm sure a complete image will drop soon.

What build (IMM70D?) were you originally on when you started the flashing through the Toolkit?
Did you wipe your phone prior to flashing?
Please post full instructions once you are done
Thanks!

Can I.....

Fix a non GSM Nexus that had a GSM Radio flashed to it.
Is there any where or anyone on this site that could give me some info if fixing this is possible.
Thanks

dont use a toolkit next time.
Thanks for the info. You mention not rooting using a toolkit. Any particular reason for this?

(Q) Rooting the GSM GNEX

so I'm considering it but I don't want to mess it up! Is it easy? Is it hard? Does it get much faster than stock 4.2?also does it improve network speeds I drop signal every now and then and I wanna flash a different radio... I've been routing for years but I just lost an s2 due to a sticky power button :/.. Is that a common issue with the galaxy nexus also?

Judging from your signature... it should be easy for you to hack your way into the Nexus

If you want the easiest method use wugfresh's nexus toolkit...

Thanks guys!.. Well I was checking being I bought this phone from someone on xda I went into recovery mode and turns out it already has CWM lol so I assume that it all I have to do is flash any room for the gsm gnex and ill be alright
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Pretty much, although I would recommend updating your recovery to the latest CWM (6.0.2.3) or TWRP (dunno what version that's on at the mo) - especially if you wanna use 4.2.x

You have months, if not longer, to figure these things out.
