What's up,
It seems without failure since ICS, when my phone is in vibrate or silent and the screen is on in any way, it makes the tiniest little clicking sound and it usually happens twice at the same time.
Can anyone relate/provide a fix? Is it a bug in the OS or an isolated case?

When I'm using my ARC, sometimes the touchscreen is unresponsive. For example, when I'm playing Fruit Ninja, sometimes the touchscreen does not respond at all. I thought it was a problem with the game. Then same thing happened with Cut the Rope. It happens when I'm clicking on the screen, not a problem with swiping. At first, I was still in denial, thinking that it has to do with the games. Then when I'm using the camera, the freaking phone is unresponsive again for like 3-4 seconds (multiple times). What is going on?? Anybody facing the same problem?
This usually happen when you are low in RAM. Try reboot the phone, it usually fixes the lag for me.
At my arc, sometimes touchscreen get a finger press blocked on right-bottom corner. I have to lock and unlock the phone to make it disapear. It happens on both stock rom and CyanogenMod
Mine has also started doing this quite often. It seems like the screen is registering a finger input that isn't actually happening. When this happens to me, one area of the screen becomes unusable until i lock and unlock the phone.
yup you have to reboot and it will be a long one!

So it's a general problem ? Hopefully a software one....
Have had this several times, but not often enough to annoy me.
Maybe once every two weeks, and I just wait and it sorts itself.

Seems like we're not the only ones with this problem. Could it be a hardware issue?

I unlocked my bootloader and rooted my phone. Does it void my warranty? Do I have to lock my bootloader and unroot my phone so that I can send it in for repair??
man...after surfing around for problems with the arc...seems like this phone is packed with problems...the screen problem, the case cracking, etc...what is going on?
Has anyone noticed their GN turn on by itself and turn off? I've notice this happening a few times a day and each time I think it's shutting itself off but its not. Nothing is running or the table wasn't nudged in any way. I can only catch a glimpes of the screen turning off before I notice it. There's also nothing moving or any light to reflect off the screen to make me think its a reflection...
Just wondering if anyone else notice this... I hope it's not all in my head.
Could be an app doing this, are you using: Delayed Lock, Unlock with WiFi, any lockscreen replacement app?
never thought about the delayed lock... That seems likes the easiest answer to this.
Thanks!
Yup, if you are using DelayedLock that is most definitely the problem, and one of the reasons I abandoned the app. That and it doesn't play nice with Juice Defender.

Every now and then my screen goes all weird like in the photo. Anyone else experience this?

I've never experienced that but if it's glitchiing like that and you capture with a screen shot it could be a defect in the gpu or a software problem, I'd suggest backing up your data and apps and doing a factory reset if the problem persists then it's time for an RMA

Anything?
Hello,
I seem to get this problem (sometimes on a more severe scale) since late. I use a rooted galaxy nexus running jelly bean.
I noticed this seems to happen (almost exclusively) when I use the google navigation app or play dead trigger (zombie shoot em up style)
during either of these activities, sometimes the whole phone glitches like so and freezes often causing me to restart the gps or the whole phone, its really annoying.
I was wondering if you had any luck with your issue
Hey, i'm new to the forms so i just though i'd give you a background on my problem. Basically at random times when i try to turn up or down the volume the phone won't let me. Its almost like volume is disabled. I thought it could be an app or the recent firmware update but it seems like that ins't the problem. The only way i can get my volume to work is by rebooting my phone. Then i can adjust the volume for a few hours, until it happens again. I've had this problem for about a week now and its extremely annoying. I apologize if this is not in the correct category.
The attached imaged is what it looks like when i cannot adjust my volume.
Same Problem Here
I have the exact same problem. It's very annoying as I pretty much have to restart my phone at least once a day just for some volume.
I've had it happen randomly too. Only solution I've seen is a reboot

What roms are you guys using? I see its not stock so if you all have the same one its probably the rom causing the problem.
Odin back to stock snd see if it still happens.

So just now my screen started flickering and it goes black when I slide my keyboard out, but a simple power on-off fixes it.
First of all, this is very tidious and annoying to do -.-
Second, I fear the screen will eventually stop working at all.
So my question, has anyone experienced this before and can give me and info on it? Would flashing a new Rom probably fix it? It doesn't seem to affect anything else at this moment, but I don't know what this little glitch will lead to.

A lil more info, the screen seems to flash on/off at the second I slide the screen up. When the screen goes black, it still works and responds to any touch as normal, but I just can't see anything at all.
Could this be a LCD problem? Or screen brightness?

Well, my gut tells me that the back light is going out, but I can't be sure. Is the screen really dark (as in, you can barely see anything in it if you shine a flashlight on the screen) or is it off (can't see anything in it at all, even with the flashlight). Also, what ROM are you using and so on?
Thanks for your help, but I'm getting used to it now. When I decide to flash a new ROM, if that solves it then great, and if not, I guess ill just use the phone till the screen blows out. This is only my media phone so its not a big deal and since the problem hasn't gotten worse over the 2 weeks I'm hoping it won't.
