[Guide]-FlashFactoryImage without lost SDcard data - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Galaxy Nexus [I9250] easy to flash stock factoryImages without lost SDcard data
Everyone know flash factory images gotta lost sd card data in I9250
So we need backup sdcard,that be nausea
Here is the easy way to keep sd data
1 Go get your image from google factory images
2 Unzip tgz file which one you downloaded
Eg. yakju-jro03c-factory-3174c1e5.tgz ,unzip it and find the image-yakju-jro03c.zip
3 Open image-yakju-jro03c.zip, and delete the userdata.img
[This img using for cover your /data,sdcard mount on /data/media in i9250]
4 Begin flash,your can found flash-all.sh in unzip folder
don't use it
flash BL: fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-maguro-primelc03.img
flash baseband: fastboot flash radio radio-maguro-i9250xxlf1.img
OK point coming: fastboot -w update image-yakju-jro03c.zip

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
There is a -w in flash system command . check on fastboot ,-w will **** your /data
So we use fastboot update image-yakju-jro03c.zip to flash system
Cause didnt wipe data ,so flash a CWMrecovery which one wont wipe /data/media
then use CWM to wipe data
Everything done!
Enjoy!

Thank you for this useful post.. :good:
Is this method works with upgrading to 4.2.2? i read some articles about problems in this version with the SDCARD folder permissions and multi-user stuffs? have you tried it befor?
another question.. i had now a soft-break because of an App "Font Installer ★ Root ★" but i made backups using recovery to SDCARD folder, but i can't pull them out as you know without starting up the device in ADB mode.. and i had 4.2.1 (Officially with root access and unlocked boot-loader) is it safe to do your method without any lost of my data in SDCARD folder? or there's another method?
Best Regards.

[Q] Help with file management while inside TWRP or CWM.

I am sorry if this has been asked many times, but seriously I can not get a straight answer via the search command here on XDA.
[ PROBLEM #1 ] Can not see my phone or sdcard via TWRP file manager (recovery)
I have pluged in the cable from phone to PC. In device manager it shows me this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I have installed the Samsung USB drivers
download-samsung_usb_driver_for_moblie_phones_v1_4_6_0-exe/ and installed it.
*NOTE*
If I boot into my ROM ( Infamous custom ROM ) I can see my phone and my sdcard.
... BUT ...
Back into recovery ( Power button + Vol down ) TWRP | MOUNT | MOUNT USB w/ all boxes checked except USB-OTG
The phone is plugged into my PC, I am looking for Phone and Card via file manager ( Windows 7 ) they are not there.:
What am I doing wrong ????
===================================
[ PROBLEM #2 ] While on my phone fully booted up to any custom ROM, I go to Windows Explorer and I do see my Phone
memory AND my micro-card, but I can not create folders on my cdard via explorer. I can move folder's from
my PC to the card but not create folders there .. also all the file sizes are the same.
No matter what the size of the folder or file is, Windows show them all at 51MB. Weird.
Any thoughts on this one ???
====================================
Last issue and very important question !!
[ PROBLEM #3 ] When I want to instal a new custom ROM on my phone, I do what most people do. Backup (nandroid)
Wipe / Factory Reset, Wipe Delv. Cache and System. Then I install the ROM. My question is, ... EVEN AFTER
I do all those wipes to the system, If I look at the phone's memory, there are tons of leftover remnants there from older programs.
I would like to do a Clean Instal onto a Phone that has no folders for any old programs on it. Doesn't TWRP or CWM do that ??
I know if I use wipe internal it will clean it all out, but it will also wipe /media/data and then I am screwed right ??
Any thoughts on this ??
Thank you for reading all this ... and help me even if you know just one the solutions to any of my 3 questions !! :victory:
Cheers :highfive:

Install recovery without pc[only rooted device]

I have Tried this on my Xperia S LT26i Working
LOCKED Boatloader
Rooted
6.2.b.1.96 jb 4.1.2
[ download ]
CWM6-cDM_v2.2-DooMLoRD-Xperia_S-JB
DOWNLOAD ABOVE FILE AND AFTER DOWNLOAD EXTRACT IT WITH 7ZIP OR WINRAR
IN THAT FILE GO TO FILES FOLDER
THERE ARE SEVERAL FILES IN THAT BUT WE NEED ONLY chargemon , cwm-install.sh , recovery.tar
copy these 3 files (chargemon , cwm-install.sh , recovery.tar ) to SD CARD
and PASTE to
[for this you need to Root your Xperia S]
PASTE TO system/bin ------->> chargemon AND recovery.tar
COPY TO system/etc ------->> cwm-install.sh
and Power OFF
[ how to enter recovery? ]
once recovery is installed keep pressing VOLUME UP key when u see SONY logo!

ya well said its will easy for new commers
or just put chargemon, tar archive, .sh file and busybox in data/local/tmp (i dont know it is important where we place it, but this localization is in PC install script) and when we paste files - just run .sh file. thats all.
IMP thing of Recovery
Whenever you Format /system in recovery Dont Close Recovery(Reboot or TURN OFF)
INSTALL STOCK or CUSTOM ROMS AFTER THAT OR RETORE IT (WITH YOUR BACKUP)
BECAUSE AFTER FORMAT THERE IS NO OS IN YOU DEVICE YOUR MOBILE WILL STUCK ON SONY LOGO ..
IF YOU CAN CONNECT XPERIA S WITH PC ITS WILL EASLY TO YOU .. YOU CAN FLASH
BUT THOSE WHO CAN'T CONNECT TO PC [USB NOT RECONISED, UNKNOWN DEVICE] THEY HAVE TO GO TO REPAIR SO PLZ DON'T TO IT
SO BE ALERT ...!!!!!!!!!

Remove completely Experience ROM

Hi all,
I bought an old Oneplus 3 which have been flashed Experience ROM (https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/rom-experience-rom-v1-0-t3522259). Now I want to remove it completely.
I can enter fastboot then run command to boot recovery (http://oxygenos.oneplus.net.s3.amazonaws.com/recovery_op3.img) then adb sideload to flash (http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3/oneplus_3_oxygenos_4.0.2/).
Stock ROM works well but the boot screen still is Experience ROM.

I think that causes some problems with my later development.
Please help me to find out which partition of flash may not reset to original, or is there any way to flash completely as stock production?
Thanks all.
I think you need to just flash the original boot logo.
Wipe System, Data, cache and sideload stock from then you will be full stock for sure!
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/themes/mod-custom-boot-logo-pack-op3-t3525143
You can try one of these... They are way too good or you can flash the original one given in the OP.
Hope it helps... Thanks!
I wonder if there is any way to flash all flash of Oneplus 3 as stock. That mean flash all recovery, boot, system ...

This does not work. I've tried it before. Complete stock sideload, both OB11 and stable.
FYI: Jamal has removed the bootlogo on his latest releases

Boot logo and animation is stored on the System partition. By wiping it and overwriting it by flashing stock rom it should dissepear.

There is a tool that's used to unbrick the op3, this tool flashes every partition to full stock again.
You need to look at the mega unbrick thread and use the full unbrick tool that wipes everything.

Question How to get out to TWRP bootloop

I forgot to disable my encryption when I flashed TWRP now im stuck with bootloop on twrp
do we have option to disable encryption or this needs to be hard reset?
confirming hard reset that would be
advanced wipe
tap on
delvik
meta
data
then swipe to wipe right?
that shouldnt remove my stock room or brick my stock room right?
im sorry, im new to this.
Thanks in Advance!
It is not any rule to disable encryption when flash TWRP, so if you did the flash operation right that bootloop is not normal. Can you enter in TWRP? If so, try to delete Delvik only and try to reboot to system. If it returns to TWRP, you may need to do a Format data (yes) in advanced wipe section (this will erase all data from your phone) - reboot to TWRP (not absolute necessary, but I always do it) - reboot system.
Try Clean Flash custom Roms step 16: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/4288121/post-85137963

thank you for your swift response.
unfortunately it reboot back to twrp.
i might need to flash this over with miui.eu 12.5 using fastboot hopefully it get sorted.
i'll wait for your response before doing so though.
Try flash the Rom again. Confirm the Rom is downloaded correctly without interruption.
You shouldn't need to wipe or format other parts before flashing a Rom.
Before boot up, do the step as the picture.
Will do.
I will try to follow this guide: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads...all-xiaomi-eu-rom-for-xiaomi-redmi-k40.60379/

If you are following that, you don't need to do as the picture I posted earlier.
mate, just an update. I was able to successfully installed global.eu room and booted it. i guess we move forward with disabling any password first before flashing TWRP and installing Magisk.
I appreciate you checking on this, man this community is awesome!

[GUIDE] Instructions to Restore ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M2 Serial Number

❈ Caution I won't be responsible for any device brick or any data lost or any loss of employment because of brick device. Follow it on your own risk❈ Notes• You will lose your widevine L1 certificate
• Make sure to backup your persist partition using TWRP or ORFX recovery
• Use TWRP 3.3.1-0 or ORFOX R10.1_14 if you are gonna flash Android 9 (Pie) stock rom
❈ Prerequisite• Download sn.bin file from here (https://t.me/ZenfoneMaxProM2Official/1021187)
• Download X01BD flashable persist file from here (https://t.me/ZenfoneMaxProM2Official/1021342)
• Download the TWRP or ORFOX recovery (I have used ORFOX R10.1_14 recovery personally)
• Prepare the stock ROM for TWRP flashable. Follow the guide here (https://telegra.ph/X01BD-Modify-firmware-03-30) Or download it from here (https://telegra.ph/Links-of-stock-ROM-both-stock-recovery-and-TWRP-flashable-links-12-08)
❈ Steps1. First, log in to the ASUS website OR Find your device serial number or check the device box

}
2. Open sn.bin, it will look like the above, type your serial number at the place of "JBXXXXXXXXXXXXX". Don't edit anything else.
3. Save the file, rename it to ".sn.bin" and copy it to your sd card.
4. Make a backup of your data (not recovery backup) as we have to flash the stock ROM
5. Flash the TWRP or ORFOX recovery if you haven't already.
6. Then take a backup of Persist Partition on SDcard or copy it to your PC.
7. Flash the X01BD flashable persist zip file downloaded early. Flash it directly as a ZIP file.
8. Mount the persist partition.
9. Copy the ".sn.bin" file to the root of persist folder. (for noobs - copy the file to the inside of persist folder.)
10. Flash the stock from either Android 9 or Android 10. No need to relock the bootloader. (Note- for flashing pie ROM, TWRP 3.3.1-0 or ORFOX R10.1_14 only works. Later versions won't work)
Your Serial Number should have been restored now. You can return to any custom ROM now, the Serial Number will be retained. Just don't format the persist partition
