Q1. I have a backup of mikg, but when I did it, I was not partitioned. Is it ok to restore to it now that I'm partitioned?
Q2. Which version of sense is smoother on the evo? 3.5 or 3.0? Yes I know all about sense 1 and aosp, but I just prefer 3.0 or 3.5 (at least till sense 4.0 is done)
Thanks in advance guys/gals.

If you restore that backup without restoring SD ext, it should leave your partition intact.
As for smoothest Rom, sense 3.0 because it has a lot more working than sense 3.5
This is my signature.
Sense 3.5 in theory should be faster since it was supposed to be less bloated and use less resources. Sense 3.0 was the biggest resource hog

Thanks guys. Well I guess ill stick to energy then. Love the theming. Although I may try derp 3d since I have the flashing itch. Been on mikg for a few months now

I agree Sense 3.5 is worth stickin with if you are after the Sense "feel"
there are some awesome sense 3.5 roms out there too. I used Engergy for a while before i jumped into some AOSP (CIUI AND GTR v1.6 twinturbo)... those are both cm7 based with some themeing.

With the new leaked GB out, HTC only included Sense 1.0 with it. I wanted to know if there is any rom that is based off the leaked GB but running Sense 2.0 and is close to stock looking rather then extremely customized.
Most of the Rom devs don't list whether they are using Sense 1.0 or Sense 2.0.
virus just released a disire hd port with sense 2.1...i havent tried it yet but im downloading as i type.
Yes, virus' rom has 2.1, and it's nice (as is most of his roms). Not getting as good of battery as I'd anticipated, but nice never the less.

Virus' Gingersense has been fun. I suggest anyone give it a shot.

If I were to restore to my stock backup, and tell it to update, will it take my root? I'm kinda thinking about unrooting, just cuz I'd like to go back to stock..... I think. Someone please tell me what will/might happen if I tell it to take the update.
Sent from my rooted MIUI Dinc2
Why not just download a rooted stock rom? Going back to stock if you unroot gains nothing. Unless you are taking the phone back.
Ok. I was kinda wanting to also make sure it was faster and I could freeze stuff if I needed to. I was using skyraider yesterday, but my speed went way down. But I also think it could've been due to the mods I was using.
Also, what is the fastest sense based ROM? Like uses least amount of RAM and CPU. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Stock Rom is definately not faster than custom roms its packed with bloat. I've been using bamf forever seems pretty fast to me

I was using skyraider, but it seemed to eat up memory like a mofo. But, like I said before, I was using some of andybones' mods like the transparent settings.apk and such. Would that cause it to eat up more?
If you are already rooted you can install RMK 2.3.4 build which is official and fast and debloated. Buy titanium backup and freeze what you don't want.

Well, I tried newts ROMs, and I thought they were a bit buggy. I tried virtuous and didn't like it. I don't like straight sense 3. I like scrolling wallpaper. I liked skyraider because of that. Any other sense 2.1/3 or even a 2.1/3.5 mix would be sick. Being able to hide icons on the lockscreen and ditch pages. Can someone mix those, or is that too hard?

Sprint Lover is the only reliable fully functional ROM, I wish it had Sense 3.0. I loaded Synergy Rom and it looks great and runs ok, but has a few bugs. I love Sense 3.0, but wish it was in a reliable rom like Sprint Lover.
the only reason it wouldn't be as stable as sprint lovers is because sense 3.0 is for higher end devices.
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
Try mik3d from themikmik.com. its sense 3.0 and fully functional and stable. Its been my daily for weeks with absolutely no problems whatsoever
~ I'm a fungi
Edit: in fact, try ANY of mik's ROMs. They are stable, that's a fact.
Sprint lovers isn't called that cause its reliable(well it is, but besides the point), its because its all things sprint! It's an OTA with a few tweaks. That's why its reliable and fast. We won't have Sprint lovers 3.0. We will never see an OTA with sense 3.0. We have yet to see 2.1 be included in an OTA

You could always put the icons and media into a Sense 3.0 ROM. I personally suggest a hybrid like MikG
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
Sense 3 will never be stable.
Deck's + SZ + SuperCharger script + ViperMod script.
I am looking to make 1 last rom for the Incredible (For the time being) and would like to ask users what type of rom they would like. I will do my best to make it bugless and awesome. Vote in the poll I post, or if it isn't there, post in the comments.
Thanks,

I love the look of McSense 2.5, and I think a stock, de-bloated, sense 1 rom themed in maybe red or a darker blue would be nice.

A polished Sense 2.0 for sure

There are no Sense 2.0 roms out right now with developer support... I'd keep the 3.x features to a minimum , if any at all. I thought sense 2.0 ran great on our phones, I miss it

I'd go with pure inc2, maybe black some things out that are white (status bar is hideous on a sense rom coming from cm7) maybe tweak the status bar icons icons a little bit, optimize it. I'd love a cm7&sense mashup. Cm7 pallet on a sense rom. No white menus for miles
-My life is a shooting range, people never change-
I thought of this today. A senseless 3.5 Rom? Haven't seen one yet. Since sense lags a bit on full 3.5 I dumped half the junk and used adw launcher ex and it was fast. Even the personalize still worked on it. I was running joels prime XL. I know if it was purposed senseless it would run better then using root explorer to remove stuff and safer lol.
Id like a fully functional ginger doubleshot rom. Thats what id like.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
I want a completely functional debloated stock gingerbread-sense, with all the nice AOSP customizations. I guess what I am thinking of is what Sky Raider 5.0 would be, if it existed.
I think the desire HD, fully functional with no bugs would be awesome! Sense 3.0 by HTC put on a phone with similar specs as ours. Get the bugs worked out, and it would be pretty smooth. Sense 3.0 ran the best of the sense 3.0+ ROMS. Get a solid base, then we could theme it. Please.

what is the best sense rom??
Yeah wrong section. Youll get a full roast for that.
To your question. The sense 2.0 is great . The sense 3 and 3.5 are laggy and slow.

THIS!
while there are way to get 3.x to "feel" snappy... once you go back to a 2.x 1.x sense rom, the difference in speed is like going from sense to AOSP... just sayin'
flame me all you want, I LOVE sense roms, but this is just the truth on this device... can't wait for my Amaze to get here!!! 1Gb RAM y'all!!! haha...
Virtuous 2.0 sense !

I love sense but hate the lag that starts after a little while...with that said I have been really impressed with android revolutions performance. If I could only use one, it would be revolution. I should add the I keep my CPU clocked under 1ghz and it still moves great for a sense Rom.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
My vote would be Virtuous Affinity. It is very feature rich and amazingly stable. It is pretty smooth with a stock install but with a few tweaks it is amazing.
for me - Android Revolution HD 7. clear and fast.
