Sprint Lover is the only reliable fully functional ROM, I wish it had Sense 3.0. I loaded Synergy Rom and it looks great and runs ok, but has a few bugs. I love Sense 3.0, but wish it was in a reliable rom like Sprint Lover.
the only reason it wouldn't be as stable as sprint lovers is because sense 3.0 is for higher end devices.

Try mik3d from themikmik.com. its sense 3.0 and fully functional and stable. Its been my daily for weeks with absolutely no problems whatsoever

Edit: in fact, try ANY of mik's ROMs. They are stable, that's a fact.
Sprint lovers isn't called that cause its reliable(well it is, but besides the point), its because its all things sprint! It's an OTA with a few tweaks. That's why its reliable and fast. We won't have Sprint lovers 3.0. We will never see an OTA with sense 3.0. We have yet to see 2.1 be included in an OTA

You could always put the icons and media into a Sense 3.0 ROM. I personally suggest a hybrid like MikG

you might get some people saying Synergy will be the way to go...but its still in private beta so dont be expecting to be getting the links to it.
as for public ROMs:
you can go with either MikG ([ROM] - [MikRoms] - [6/22/2011] - MikG v2.1 - Re-Engineered GB Sense 2.1 + 3.0) or Virus's Kingdom port (|ROM|JUN 10| VirusROM Kingdom REVOlution |B1.3|2.3.3|SENSE 3.0| - xda-developers)
MikG is a hybrid between Sense 2.1 and 3.0 to make it stable (it does not have the carousel rosie)
VirusROM Kingdom REVOlution is a port from the Gingerbread leak for the upcoming HTC Kingdom (which is kinda like a smaller slightly version of the Evo 4G with the Evo 3D specs [minus 3D]) so its full 3.0 sense
if i were you i wouldn't want a fully sense 3.0 the files are just too big and don't think theres one fully stable.
But there are a couple 2.1/3.0 roms out there and there great and everything works from what i know (maybe not 4g) and there pretty stable
Alliance Rom ( i use the stock version but theres also a Themed one, works great.)

like Joey said....a full 3.0 ROM will take up WAY too much space since the files are huge...you are better off going with a 2.1/3.0 hybrid
I have installed and used all 3 of these ROMs and MikG is the fastest and most stable; IMHO.

I have tried all three, and until the last couple of days, Virus was my favorite. Virus gives constant updates and support of his ROMs

The one thing I really like is the lock screen! I would love to have that on cm7.

Agreed, this would be great
Im using sacs kingdom port and its running great. Been on the v7 and haven't had any fc's or sense restarts. Only thing I can think of that its not working is the watch app.
Virus Kingdom would be my choice.

I just installed v8 and this thing is amazing I didn't think these ROMs could run this smooth on our phones and I'm trying to kill the battery to calibrate it and I've been on it since about 6 this morning and its 12:40 and I'm at 43% thats not bad I've been using the hell out of it trying to kill the battery.

I'm running MikG's latest ROM, and love it. Super fast, and my battery life is pretty good to.
I my opinion the best full 3.0 sense rom out now is Kinged Kingdom RLS2. It is smooth as butter and is odexed.
I have to go with synergy, I've not had a single problem! And the second release even has the panoramic camera!

Kingdom was pretty smooth for me, but that's the only full 3.0 rom I ran. I'm back on Mik2.2 and it's the smoothest and most reliable for me. Gives you a lot of free room to play with as well.

Synergy or Kings Alliance
Kingdom was at one point the true 3.0 sense base ROM. Now that's been switched to Synergy-Kingdom, which is still a very good ROM, but with the Synergy merger it seems to be having it's complications (Which I'm sure Virus and crew will fully sort out).
At one point I was running 6/23 Nightly AKA B1.4 w/ Burst Leo Theme, but now I am running aamikam's version of 3.0 sense (which I've been sooo longing for) which is in Alpha stage right now...D*mn good Alpha if you ask me! Super stable, my daily drive for sure.
It's on his web site, which requires sign up to access download links.

Can somebody lead me to the best Sense 2.1 port?
I want my dad to enjoy the goodness of Sense 2.1. Not 3.0/5 because they can be too slow and memory hogging. Considering its my dads phone he wants it to work. Any help?

I'd have to say...barnacles did the salvage sense 2.1 rom and virus did the gingersense rom. So one of those would be the best bet. Very stable. But no longer being worked on

Best Sense 2.1 MikG. It is a Sense 2.1 + 3.0 hybrid, and it is incredibly stable. Pair it with ChopSuey kernel and you are good to go

I would have to say Myn's Warm 2.2 or Koni Elite. Both were pretty similar, and killer for battery life, I could go 2-3 days on those roms without charging.
Neither of those are sense 2.1...

I second mikg, its the mose stable one i have tried. the only thing not working is hdmi out but if you flash one of the gingerbread kernels youll get that back.
When I was on my EVO I used mikg also. Very very responsive. Great battery life. I also flashed freedom kernel and overclocked it. Worked great for me.

I have searched all over the internet to find a strictly sense 2.1 ROM for my beloved EVO. There are none. There is of course MikG 2.1+3.0 ROM, but I am looking for just sense 2.1. How hard is it really to port it over to the EVO? If it's easy, I can just figure out how myself I suppose. I don't want to use the 3D of Sense 3.0 and 3.5, I would simply like to see just one ROM out there for the EVO with Sense 2.1. Thanks to all who have positive input.

I would like it because the EVO, or at least my EVO was not meant to run sense 3.0 or up. It just becomes slow no matter what I do. Sense 2.1 is what I've had the best luck with. I would not put windows 2000 on my i3 Lenovo ThinkCenter, but I would not try to put Windows 7 on my Toshiba Satellite dinosaur laptop. The Evo is a very capable device, but for my needs in a phone, sense 3.5 doesn't cut it.

I thought that those were, particularly the Sprint Lovers and the ones that say that they were based on stock, as the EVO 4G is not running Sense 3.0 on stock. I didn't see any hybrids when I searched. I did a search for stock roms only. They are running Gingerbread, but so was my EVO before I rooted it. This one is called "Swagged Out Stock". Again, it's Gingerbread, but I believe that it still uses Sense 2.1
The best 2.1 ROM is Koni Elite III

I think he is looking for a Gingerbread Sense 2.1 port. Koni, while a great ROM, is not that.
OP, I remember a stock port of the EVO Shift by Leoisright. It hasn't been updated, but is straight 2.1.
I don't know why MikG won't work on your phone as I have mine smooth, but look up Leo's port
Edit: Just noticed that the final version was a merge with some Sense 3.0 features. Salvage-Sense is straight Sense 2.1, so hopefully it will work for you.

I don't have the link since I'm on my phone, but the only Rom I remember that was Android v2.3 with Sense v2.1 (without any Sense 3.0 stuff) was made by the Salvagemod guys. Search for that one.

I have MikG right now and it does run very smoothly, I am mostly just wondering why there is no regular sense 2.1 ROM. Why all the modifications? I like MikG I am running 2.53 right now because I like having recent apps in the pulldown bar and 3.0 doesn't have it.

Yeah. There should be a tweaks app in the app drawer. I've got the recent apps pull-down in Team Nocturnal's Shooter E3D RLS 4, a Sense 3.0 rom.

I don't think that Rom does... I'd say just flash MikG v3 -- it's super fast and stable, and in the themes and mods section over at themikmik.com there is a landscape rosie. I think MikG is faster than the pure sense2.1 roms, really, and it is still consistently supported.
The only sense Rom I find faster is Tommy's Evo Classic (and even though it's only sense1.0, he's added some awesome stuff to it).

I like the lockscreen of 1.0/2.1. Is there a way to flash it or port it onto MikG 3.0?
Q1. I have a backup of mikg, but when I did it, I was not partitioned. Is it ok to restore to it now that I'm partitioned?
Q2. Which version of sense is smoother on the evo? 3.5 or 3.0? Yes I know all about sense 1 and aosp, but I just prefer 3.0 or 3.5 (at least till sense 4.0 is done)

If you restore that backup without restoring SD ext, it should leave your partition intact.
As for smoothest Rom, sense 3.0 because it has a lot more working than sense 3.5

Sense 3.5 in theory should be faster since it was supposed to be less bloated and use less resources. Sense 3.0 was the biggest resource hog

I agree Sense 3.5 is worth stickin with if you are after the Sense "feel"
there are some awesome sense 3.5 roms out there too. I used Engergy for a while before i jumped into some AOSP (CIUI AND GTR v1.6 twinturbo)... those are both cm7 based with some themeing.
