Especially around the home button? Does gunk get in there and is it visible? I'm not talking about from handling the phone with muddy hands - just from regular usage over time. I feel like most of you who have one have had it long enough to comment. Thank you.

Mine looks as fresh as the day I bought it and I use it constantly. This phone is fairly new so I can't say after many months of usage, but thus far I wouldn't worry about it.

Mine looks good here too. I actually had the blue sgs 3 international and was one of the biggest things I noticed was the gunk under the edges you could see. You don't see it in the white verson though. At least not as noticeable anyway

Thanks guys I appreciate it.

Mine's as fresh as a daisy as well, after 1 month of manhandling.
EDIT: WE LANDED ON THE MOOOOON?!?!?!
The gloss finish doesn't attract dirt as much as mate white finish on HTC One X
The Pebble Blue is much better tho :good:
Well the pebble neon green is the best

i dont know about you guys but I currently have the nano optic screen protector by sgp and even though they make one of the best protectors, you can tell the color difference between the naked area and the covered area. The covered area has a bit of a little greyish tint to it while the naked area is clear white. I'm not sure why everyone is saying "you can't even tell a screen protector is on" when reviewing the sgp screen protector for the galaxy. You can definitely tell that its on.
I would use the device without a screen shield but wouldn't want it to be scratched up when I resell it later on.

I have the nano clear and everyone I have look at the phone doesn't notice my screen protector. The clear doesn't make the white look grey either.

I have the Zagg Invisible Shield on mine. I got the matte finish one and regret it. It definitely dulls down the screen. I think it dulls down the white of the body of the phone also. You can definitely tell I have a screen protector. I may go and buy the clear one soon.
I have the white version and use a matte screen protector and it is as white as day one. The white case though... that is a different story. It looks like crap.

My S3(home button also) is just as shiny and clean as the day I got it. The obvious exception being fingerprints. I haven't had a screen protector on it yet as I'm waiting on SGP to release the curved crystal.

What is the best screen protector for good clarity and can show across the screen very nicely and decent stretch protection although the corning glass is scratch resistant. I have the flex vs right now and there is a big scratch in the center of the screen that's annoying and has rainbow effect on the whole bottom left side that is quite annoying on white screens. I have the nano clear from the neo hybrid car I might try it is the nano clear good?

I love the zagg HD screen protectors. I may be a bit bias though. Work at best buy so my discount on them is huge.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
if you want a screen protector that doesnt scratch easily like your flex did - stay away from zagg. Look at the spigen products like you are. The one that would be least likely to scratch is the ultra crystal
Hi I bought a pack of these and have to say I am really impressed. They fit well and are ultra clear.

I have the nano clear I'll look at those if it scratched through the screen protector the corning glass I would think would save it.

I ordered the "next generation" protector from Bestskinsever.com, on sale for $5. I had one on an old clickwheel ipod from 2006 that was still going strong, and the new generation promised less orange peel. I have to say, I HATE screen protectors, but I'm liking this one. Individual holes are cut for everything, no U channel cutouts on top & bottom like the Zagg HD. The orange peel is minimal, and it's smooth as can be, feels like glass. I was really expecting the crappy, rubbery, finger drag feel that wet protectors are known for. I'd definitely order it again.
Here is what I orderd...according to Amazon it was shipped, hoping to get this in the next few days...
http://www.amazon.com/REALOOK-Samsu...=UTF8&qid=1345167798&sr=8-23&keywords=realook
Xoskins works nice.. wet application but very little orange peel. Distortion is minimal too. Comes in normal and case fit which leaves a tiny bit on the edges so cases don't peel it up.
I'd buy another one.

What are the pros and cons of having a screen protector installed in the Galaxy S3? I'm thinking of NOT installing one but am I losing anything?
There are 2 other topics on this on the first page.
Additionally if you can't figure out the pros and cons yourself then I don't know what to tell you.

Get the Spigen ultra clear from Amazon. Picked it up for$13 came with three. Absolutely love it. It doesn't even feel like a protector is on. I have to make sure it doesn't peel off in my pocket haha. But it is very adhesive. Good luck

Not having a screen protector is like having sex with a random woman without a condom.
Because yeah it feels a lot better but you never know if you the one unlucky enough to get messed up.

S3 here and I can say my screen is "virgin" LOL. I don't even touched after I got it out of the box, I just removed that factory screen protector and applied the other one, not because of scratches possibility but to avoid the fingerprints (and make me clean it before applying the screen protector). Gorilla glass, but still...As in the post above me... The protector is a condom. Even if you know that the girls isn't in her fertile period, it's still safer to use a condom, right?

How do you like that tech screen protector. I just installed xtremeguards full body and while you can't even tell there's a screen protector on there. I have the foggy waterstreaks on the top of the phone!! Even after not using the phone for 24 hours!!! Glad it was only 5 bucks shipped.

The mercury screen protectors suck lol.
The menu button and back button are actually printed on the screen protector itself. And the company name "Mercury is printed on the screen protector right above the back button.
And the mercury screen protector doesn't completely cover the front of the phone, so if you're trying to make a white S3 black, it'll look off.
I ordered three of the black and it wasn't mention, but it has a glittery look instead of just being black. I don't know if all of the colors are like this but it kind of throws it off in my opinion.
If none this bothers you, then order them, as for me, I'm getting my money back.

Removed my zagg protector today and noticed the glue from the shield completely took off the oleophobic coating. Now the glass isn't as smooth and attracts fingerprints even more. Just a warning to those putting on a screen protector, you may actually be damaging the phone.

I can't remember where i saw it but a few months ago i saw the kit online to replace the glass screen coating....oleo whatever.
Maybe find something here http://www.globaldirectparts.com/Samsung-Galaxy-S-III-SGH-i747-AT-T-s/18091.htm
and how to take it apart here http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/search/samsung+galaxy+s3
I use self laminating sheets from Office Max. I Cut to fit and apply. Easy to remove too. They last maybe two weeks, but they do give some protection to the screen and it's super inexpensive since you get so many sheets to a box. They look just fine. I don't think they cling hard enough to remove any coating but I haven't really looked for that.

I took mine off, too, without seeing any negative effects on the screen. I got a tempered glass screen protector and now won't ever use anything else. It feels just like the original glass and protects the phone at the same time.
I like the Zagg stuff. I've had them on all my phones and never had an issue. I have the HD on my GS3 now and had it replaced a couple times, but nothing left on the screen.
ZAGG was pretty good for the iPhones.
Thanks for the heads up on this one. Phew.

Probably will do the same for my GS3. :highfive:
