I'm looking for a Galaxy Nexus extended battery in the 2000-3000mah category. I don't want the Uber-thick 3800mah Seido but I don't want the extra 100-200mah for the Samsung extended (doesn't seem worth it even with a half-priced battery), I'm kind of looking for something in between (like a sweet spot) maybe in the range of 2500-3000 would be ideal. I'm sure there will need to be a separate case for it.
Any suggestions?
Chicks dig the uber thick ones

I wish there was a 2500 option for the gnex too. I'm cutting it close at the end of the day and it would be awesome if I didn't have to worry about conserving enough for an emergency.
I purchased 2 2500mA batteries from Hong Kong. There is no NFC. Also, the batteries work with the original back cover!! I should receive them by the end of the week hopefully. I am currently using a 3800 extended battery and the battery life is unbelievably great. I am hopeful that the 2500 will get me through a day of heavy use. I bought them off eBay from "weil368".

Just curious, do you have the LTE Verizon Nexus or the GSM version?
I have the GSM Nexus. The first day was OK. Definitely better than the original battery but no where near as good as the 3800mAh behemoth. I was able to make it through a day of light to moderate use. Hopefully after a few cycles they will get better.

How much screen on time was that? I switched to teerom and have gone from 6 hours of battery life up to 15 or so with stock battery. I think it may be the apex launcher.

It was 2:50 of screen time. For whatever reason I cannot upload the screen shot of the screen usage.

Guys ... please don't be fooled by high amperage in the same OEM body volume adverts.
There is NO 2500mAh in the world that will fit in the original 1750mAh volume. That technology is not yet accessible.
I'm 120% positive (and I can bet on this) that those "2500mAh" batteries have the same stored power (if not less) than the OEM 1750mAh ones.
If you get lucky, you may end up having initially a battery slightly stronger than the oem one which will deprecate in a matter of weeks and it will end up a lot weaker than the OEM.
I've been wondering about something for a while. Is there a technical reason why Li-Ion batteries must be in rectangular shape? Looking at the ginormous back for the Seido/Mugen 3500+ mAh extended batteries, I can't help thinking about all that wasted space above the SIM and up to the camera that could be "filled in" by an irregularly shaped battery.
The battery is made out of a long ribbon-like sandwich of electrolyte between two thin metallic foils (electrodes) and the whole structure is rolled or packed. It would be way too expensive to make it in custom shapes. So , the Li-Ion batteries can be built like cylinders or rectangular shapes.
Price range under $30 and one that fits or slightly fits the original back cover

anker are known to be good batteries, but you should get the galaxy nexus battery that you can pick up from the verizon store. The OEM batteries have NFC capabilities the others do not. OEM should last longer too even though the mah are different.

Yup, and $25
Been on the VZ nexus extended battery for a month - wow it is great. Much better than I expected. Took off the label paper, trimmed off the plastic end caps to the battery height (with a razor blade). Left on the NFC antenna, but can get it thinner by cutting that off. My stock cover barely bulges. It's been $35 at Amazon (Samsung 2100 mah extended with cover) or at Verizon (lucked out when it was $25)
I just ordered the anker 2050 from ebay for 9.99 shipped.
I dont use nfc and our phones lack the secure element needed for g00gle wallet. I also wanted the back cover to fit correctly without having to modify the battery, and 50mha isnt a big difference.
Hands down nexus...

The better the system the more battery it Burns, I app pose that if the processors and memory were less consumptuous then maybe we would be better off. Honestly even if you are turning off certain process patterns or psych out the brain it won't help, the won't be such a thing as a perfect phone unless you built it yourself, but unless the boards and parts are sold to secure in sockets your out of luck.

I've been having major battery issues still even with new Rom and kernel so i decided to buy this nexus battery from the Verizon store. is this the correct one?!? i keep reading everyone talk about the extended one but i did not purchase that one. the salesman told me 39.99 but when they rang me up they said i get a discount and it ended up only being 20.00.
should i get the extended or will this be good enough?

Is there anything similar to http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/samsung/galaxy-s3/sgp-portable-mobile-battery-kuel-f60q-series.html
It is basically like a brick that you can plug in your usb and chrages your phone from the 6000mAh battery inside of the brick.
Was wondering if there is anything similar to this but a much cheaper price?

I bought this 5200mAh one when Amazon had that twofer with the 7100mAh one for $55. Sleek, smaller than a car garage door opener and has a laser pointer and flashlight built in too. Even now $34 is a pretty good price. Can't post links yet so search Amazon for: New Trent iTorch IMP52D 5200mAh External Battery Charger. I've had it for almost a week now and it's really handy to carry around.
I just bought the Trent iCarrier and got the iMirror for free as part of a promo on Amazon.

Unfortunately this does not charge your phone. And I have my doubts with this being the real deal. Which dual charger, so phone dock and battery dock in one charging both would you guys recommend? I could not find any similar topic with these sorts of products.

The thing you need to check is that the NFC function works... An original samsung battery should allow the NFC to work, the OEM batteries don't... If you're looking for a cheap extra battery for just the power you can find them for around $3-$4 Aud on ebay. They work fine but don't have NFC antenna...
And just because it says NFC enabled DOESN'T mean t is...

For now, I would recommend the QCell 2100x2 with Charger since I didnt get to test the Anker and Hyperion yet. Plus the Charger charges the batteries to 100% unlike Hyperion chargers.
Ill post some shots of the Kidigi its awesome no prob from HK. took a bit but thats typical for free ship. Im waiting for an OEM batt w NFC from a domestic seller it was cheap as hell but all his buyers seem happy.

The link you provided is the real thing, from what I know, there isn't any fakes of this item from hong kong, these item were on a special offer if you buy a new S3 from a authorised store, and many stores sell them of cheaply without the purchase of the S3.

i say keep waiting for the original samsung 3000mah battery to come out, thats what im doing.

Here's some shots of the Kidigi charging the spare batt. I'll post some of it charging the phone later. It also allows you to charge the unit with or without a case. The spare batt was not OEM. Didnt really hold a charge and NFC didnt work. Got my $ refunded and said I should keep it. You really cant get around buying it from Samsung. If theres a 3000mah that is the same size as stock that would be great, I wasnt aware of that.

So heres my verdict regarding the slim zerolemon battery
It is good as the oem battery aswell!
I got 4.3 hours of screen with 15 % left with the battery using from 9 am to 7 pm!
I was on 4G LTE like almost all the time coz we have no wifi here where im taking my vacation. I constantly like every 10 mins checking FB, amazon, ebay, flipboard, AC forum, xda forum, bleacher reports app, espn app, some gps, internet, call and messaging and just couple of minutes of gaming. And my default brightness is also 40%!!
So ill give it a solid 10/10 score!
Then for the Onite slim battery
I think its around 8-10% less capacity than the oem and zerolemon battery, but its aight for $10
I'll give it a 7.5 rating
* Dont get the hyperion one, it sucks. Or maybe I just got a defective one but i dnt think so.
Its adviseable to stick with Zerolemon

I got what I'm pretty sure is a brand-new device (there's no refurb markings or stickers or anything like that that) in some kind of cardboard frame, a backplate, a battery, USB cable and wall wart. It also came with the Warranty guide and Quick Start booklet. It was shipped in a plain brown box with the AT&T logo on it.
