That is awesome!
I'm down in Owatonna/Mankato and they don't even have VZW 4G down here yet. The lady at the AT&T store said that it would be rolled out by the end of 2012, but I don't know how much she really knows hehe. HSDPA is pretty good down here though, only place I've dropped to edge is driving in between Lesuer, Steele, and Waseca county.
I hope southern MN gets lit soon. I hear that AT&T doesn't have the greatest data coverage in Iowa/Wisconsin.
Ohh WoW .. my brother should be excited to hear this .. he has the One X and has been waiting patiently for LTE in his area.
Wha?? I work downtown and i'm not getting LTE. I'm genuinely excited though if its that close.

Since they are just testing it would make sense to do it early in the morning so that it affects least number of users.
This was at airport in case you are wondering.

Yeah .. I just got this from my brother .. where he is, he doesn't get it yet .. but he did mention that the LTE was live at the Minneapolis Int'l Airport .. however, he said its been live there for the past 2 weeks .. thats when he was last at the airport !!!

Awesome! I'll be at the Minneapolis Int'l Monday! Will be my first LTE experience I guess.
I let Minneapolis to head to Chicago for the week. To my surprise at security check when I pulled out my Note to scan my Delta boarding pass I saw LTE lit up. Speed was amazing as I have seen in KC and Chicago before. However, when I go to my gate in G Concourse LTE was gone. Hopefully this means its coming soon.
Attached are two screencaptures. One proves its MSP and the other shows speed test. My phone also rolled to EST time zone as well.
Interesting.! No go in Minnetonka

None for me yet. Hopefully this means they're rolling it out soon! I can't wait
Well thats fantastic...at least when I go home I know I will have LTE...not so much where I am stationed but im a glass half fll kind of guy..ha
I was hoping Minneapolis would get it sooner than later. It is a major metropolitan area.
Ran a speed test in terminal C14 of Minneapolis international and pulled 54 down, 12 up!! Top 3 are from there. Much better than my home town on the bottom few! Lol.

Nothing here in Eagan yet. The airport is just a few minutes away I might have dip my toes in the AT&T LTE water though...
I've heard from AT&T reps (after I already had my phone) that they've been told 2012, and logic states we'll get initial rollout in summer and not winter.

Don't get too worked up. Seems like people have been getting AT&T LTE reception at MSP for over a month now.

July 11th, according to the post by copperlab. I wonder if they just stuck a cell at the airport to save face for people passing thru...but I still have high hopes.
I got to try LTE for the first time when I visited Cleveland few months ago. It was f'ing glorious.
Why no LTE in Seattle, at&t? wtf!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Its currently airport only. I believe it's part of the MSP remodel. You can see a set of antennas near the G gates if you look out of the window at the parking garage.
Got it in the UofM area today. Speeds were not super high though. (Top two are from today)

Heads up, Sprint customers: CEO Dan Hesse has just announced the first markets that'll be gifted with*LTEfrom the Now Network. As per the official*@SprintTwitter account, the first cities with Sprint LTE coverage will be Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, all of which are expected to be lit up by the middle of the year. Those markets will be seeing some 3G network upgrades as well.Sprint*announced*way back in October that it would official make the move from WiMAX to LTE for its 4G network, saying that it planned to begin rolling out LTE coverage by mid-2012, so it sounds like the carrier's transition to LTE is going smoothly so far. It's not yet clear exactly when the residents of Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio will be riding the Sprint LTE airwaves or if any other markets will be joining them by midyear, but more details should be revealed as we dive deeper into 2012. Stay tuned.

I'm surprised there isn't more chatter about Sprint's LTE plans on this forum. I think the success or failure of the NV program will make or break this phone, and Sprint itself. For sure it affects my own decisions about both. The timing will be critical.
p.s. I second the recommendation about the s4gru.com site. It is must reading for anyone who cares about the Sprint rollout, and who wants to make an informed choice. There is also a deep font of knowledge there about RF stuff.

I agree 100%. The rollout of NV & LTE is the crux of Sprint as a network thus far. Def going to be a make or break time for Sprint in the next few quarters, especially with regard to timing. They need to make a significant impact, and soon.

Metro areas that had "sufficient" 3G coverage were automatically skipped through the first and sometimes second pass of LTE implementation.
Squeakiest wheels got the grease first, is what I've heard and read.
Incidentally, don't be too upset about this, as LTE (from personal experience) has not been all that great anyway. I've been in Chi, Miami/Ft.Laud, DC and Baltimore and only in one of those markets (frigging Baltimore of all places!!) was I getting better than 11Mbps down and better than 6Mbps up (i got 17Mbps down, 10Mbps up). Both DC and Miami/Ft.Laud were marginally slower than my home WiFi which is typically around 10Mbps down and 6Mbps up, and Chicago was absolutely pathetic all three times I've been there since Feb, coming in roughly on par with Philly-area HSPA+/4G.
Incidentally, my experience has been with this phone as well as my Note i717, both top-end devices.
Plus, remember that even a strong LTE signal (let alone a weak one, god forbid....) will drain the piss out of your battery, a heck of a lot quicker than good old fashioned HSPA+.
Just my $.02.

"...compared to my droid razr." He didn't say it was slow in general.
OP, I've noticed a decrease in speed with my One, compared to other phones from what I remember (it's been a while since I've done a speed test with another phone), however it could be that more and more people are getting LTE capable phones at a fast pace, which can result in slower speeds. Network congestion and whatnot.
Dang... Those are pretty good speeds. I'm in the mountains outside of Seattle. Used to be a lot faster until all the damn neighbors got 4g phones!
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
One thing I learned is speed test is never accurate and you will constantly see the network in many areas the lte speeds are never constant. Where I live my speeds has been 12 best and that's with the bolt, rezound, and one. So to many variables to say its the phone but I have seen the gnex suffer with speeds. I would ask if the op right after testing the one did he run it on his droid?
Sent from my One using Tapatalk
Speed tests are pretty accurate. Just depends on congestion. Seattle has a greater pop. than Raleigh which has a greater pop. than SE Iowa and the speeds are inversely proportional to that. I just pulled 30mbps in KC but its also 5:35 am. During the day I can only get around 17mbps.

I live in far up north raleigh, near Falls Lake. At home I usually get around 6-8 down. 4G is really not that great where I live.
You think that's slow? Heh, good thing you don't live in the northeast. The 4G network has gone to crap here from Washington DC all the way to Boston. There are places where you can hit below 1 Mbps, or worse, completely unusable during the daytime. I can only get 20 when I'm either standing below a tower or in the middle of a cornfield out west.
Even Verizon admits it's getting really bad in large cities.
