Hello guys,
Some Samsung sounds are cool on our S3, but especially for notifications, I prefer ICS one's.
So, I made a flashable ZIP for CWM, to get back defaults sounds from ICS, JellyBean, and CM9.
Just choose what you prefer, or you can flash the 3 zip files straight if you want to have a big list of notifications/ringtones.
Note that it will let the Samsung default sounds. I could write a script to delete it, but don't have time right now. If some people are interested in it, I'll do it next week.
Also note that the default UI sounds (ie camera sounds, lock/unlock sounds, clic, etc), will be the latest zip you flashed, and so, default Samsung ones will be replaced. You'll have to flash the SIII_Default_UI_Sounds.zip to just let default Samsung UI sounds.
Final note : Once flashed, if you want to revert to stock and deleting the sounds you flashed, for now you can't. Same problem as for default Samsung sounds, have to write a script to delete the flashed stuff. If people want, I'll do it.
Should work on any devices, but I only tested on my S3 runnning LG6.
I'm not responsible if it crash your rom or brick your phone...
Hi there,
Thank you so much for this! But what about the keytones (phone keypad sounds)? The S3 stock waterdrop sound is horrendous, and disabling it will also disable the keyboard's keypress sound... would you mind making a sound pack for this too?
Cheers!
Those dialer sounds are a goddamn mystery, pls just tell me where they are and i¨ll fix it myself! Have been searching for those sounds for ages now. Not one answer anywhere.
very good job, congratulations
Thanks for sharing
Could you tell me how to do it with Sense sounds ? Never get it working by myself

Hi,
Extract the sounds of a Sense rom (just download-it no matter which unless you want the sounds of Sense 3/3.1/4*, etc...) in system/media/audio/ui-ringtones-notifications-etc..., (choose what you want) and copy/push-it into system/media/audio... With the correct permissions for each files (.ogg).
Set permissions like this:
Do that for each files if you are alredy with the rom that you want, otherwise when you flash your new rom you can just replace/modifie the files inside the .zip, flash and you're also good!
After that no matter regardless of where the sounds come, the most important is the folder and the permission settings and also the sound format (I mean .ogg)
Reboot/flash and you're good!
Thanks a lot I just have a problem, when I push the files I want, it simply doesn't work
Well, will try again ^^

You have carefully checked the permissions, your sounds in the correct folder? You restarted?

Ok, but ... That is to say?
In. Ogg it works for me, no matter the source as long as you set your property sounds in the correct folder with the correct permissions ...
I took the sounds of my notifications Galaxy Nexus + my HTC Sensation without problems.
If you want a hand-> MP and we can take a look
On that note, good night and keep me posted.

Seems to have worked out perfectly.....was getting tired of the waterdroplet sound effect at many occasions....

PS: the sound through the headphones have also increased significantly....
Equilizer app from the google.play market should finish of the job for excellent sound quality
did anybody find the solution for the annoying dialer keypad water sound???

Does this only work for SG III or can it be used on other phones?

Hmm..i flashed this also to get rid of my white notification bar, but it still remained white lol. my icons are changed and the rom is themed, but not notification bar.. any fix for this buddy?
Can you add RAM hack to this by chance? Or a RAM hack version?
i love the ROMs. Except for that ugly launcher you use, the Tab is ugly, I never been a fan of all these themed launchers and that helix launcher either.

Otherwise it works very well because it is functional Apps2SD "Move" them. Apk and re-boot, a single CF to close the Terminal, I work on it, but says thank you to cyanogen because its ROM which is great for testing!
Soon for an update
i have flashed the evolution rom in my tim g1, but the installed apk files, such as msn, advanced task manager, root explorer and so on, can't be open, which gives out " the com.xx. proceeding is forced close ". i wiped fully and flashed several times, however, it doesn't work yet. by the way, i chose the language in chinese(china).
So as habitube, my friend Panam came to the rescue LOL!

Well, let's sum up by saying that app2sd seems to work like a charm as on the original Cyanogen's one.
If you want to move apps from internal to SD or SD to internal, just be sure to use the "move" buttons in the application menu, or the "mv" command as said in cyanogen's wiki

Try that:
Install Linux Terminal Emulator
Then in this app :
Type "su"
Give superuser permissions
Type "mkdir /sdcard"
Type "ln -s /sdcard /storage/sdcard0"
(Do not type the ")
It may work, but I'm not sure though. My sdcard has always been sdcard0 since I use jelly bean and I never experienced any problems with that...

No problem! Instead of typing these commands in Linux Emulator, type them on your computer, in adb shell. And before typing these commands type adb remount.
So it should be like
adb remount
adb shell

Ok I finally rooted the ouya. I have a harddrive formatted to ntfs but when I'm in es file explorer and I add r/w support for usb source it switches back to read? So when I connect to the ouya via ftp and try adding a file I get an error message but transferring from the ouya is ok.
ok, I installed usb otg helper and I was able to read and write to ntfs. But I cant get the plus version to register, I purchaced it since the free one won't auto mount.
This is a known issue.
There's no Google Services Framework on the Ouya with the stock firmware.
This means no working Google account sync. no account services, and no Google Play Market.
As a result, the DRM in that paid app doesn't work correctly so you cannot use the app.

I tried to use the resolution switcher, and on the first boot I got it to work (DPI at 530), but after another reboot the phone was stuck at the LG logo. Interestingly, I heard the startup sound, then I could turn the screen on and off & take a screenshot (heard the camera sound). Luckily I had a backup!

I have the exact same problem, first time booting it works fine but the second time it get stuck in the lg logo but everything "behind" the logo seems to be functioning, this is the same problem when using an app to change res(NOmone) and reboot. To solve this I just boot in recovery and flash the unnistaller and it goes back to normal.
I'm on D855, Cloudy 2.5 with Gabriel kernel and using 2.2A.
Hi, I flashed the 2.3 resolution mod and it didn't work. I then tried to run the script manually but got this error. I am running blisspop 3.6 on the d855. Any solutions?
Thanks!

V3 and V2.3 uninstaller are pretty the same, just flash V3.
But the reboot probably is not related to mod, it will applied after the boot because at each restart it revert to stock

Hey,
I just tried your v4A and resolution mod and they appear to work pretty fine for now - thumbs up for the great work! :good:
However, I have some further questions. Would be great if you could give some feedback
1.) Will the resolution mod actually force a downscaling from 1440x2560p to 1125x2000p which costs performance to some extend?
I am just curious because of the "overridden size".
2.) Are there any further possibilitites to decrease the system DPI?
I tried the 530 via the "ro.sf.lcd" command but it scales the icons way too large imo. Also tried "wm density 420" via terminal but it instantly messed up with the LG apps.
3.) Will the v4A mod fix the framerate to constant 50 FPS?
Wouldn't it be possible to set the min_freq to lets say 40 or 45 FPS to safe some further battery life? I am not sure whether I can simply adjust that value by editor to e.g. "40". Will that change restore the dynamic FPS function of the kernel so that the framerate drops down to the min_freq when the G3 is on idle?
Kind Regards,
Mugatu

Is there any plans to add day dream to moto z play?
I'm pretty sure I read it is not compatible with our device. So, no, there are no plans.
If your rooted and you change a few files and install a few apk's it works. No official support is likely however.
I used it for a while. It wasn't bad but it made me dizzy cause it wasn't that clear

Hmm yes daydream works on nougat. Sideload the APK from apkmirror.com it will warn that the phone isn't compatible and you just hit cancel quickly and use it anyway. Panning is not smooth like an sd8xx CPU but it works.
You need a few APK's, daydream one, vr services, and the input one for the controller if I remember correctly.
Root is suggested as you need to modify your build.prop device type for a lot of apps to display correctly - they will only do full screen and not SBS if you don't make that change.
I think it actually works not too bad - and unlike the faster CPU phones it does not get anywhere near as warm.
