Anyone tried this out yet?? I shall try it out when I get home tonight on my UK wifi xoom.
I've tried this and it works perfect over clock with the jelly bean 4.1.1
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 2
A quick update whilst everything works fine
Tiamat 3.0.24 seems a bit buggy with 4.1.1
Ive had a few stutters and pauses more than i would expect
also ive seen two startups where the 1.5ghz oc didnt take
Will post newer kernel's as they come
I may try Tiamat 3.0.27 later (doesnt have gpu oc though)
An advanced power menu would be handy too if its not too difficult!
Thanks for this Shonk.
Quicker and smoother than ICS. As far as I can tell, everything works as it should. :good:
Hi Guys,
I just want to know how to do the external sdcard writable, I cant make or restore backup with titanium because it say is not writable.
Someone??
Thanks
have you detected the new backup folder location in titanium
Jelly Bean moved it to /storage/sdcard1/

I know where is the location of the backup, the problem is that it doesn't let me do the restore because it say "this folder is not writable".
Thanks
works fine here
both backup to and restore from sdcard1
are you running the lastest version
Nice work! We appreciate you guys putting this together for us. How smooth is this beast? The EOS roms are running pretty good but I would like to rock something out that's buttery smooth!
it work on my xoom eu 3g

You then have permissions restrictions on external SD. I am not sure what ROM you are running,
Plz use terminal emulator and type:
su
cd /system/etc/permissions/
more platform.xml
Then paste here the the part where it says write external storage,
It should be something like this
<permission name="android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE" >
<group gid="sdcard_rw" />
<group gid="media_rw" />
</permission>

rom details
Hello,
Very nice job and thanks you very much....
I Have an old rom on my xoom and I would like to install this one .
Before I brick my Xoom, could you please tell me :
- does this original rom is the official one?
- does this rom is a full rom or just an update?
- the default frequence of the xoom ( just in case of overclock trouble) ?
Thanks
ElBoz
Does Google Now work on this as well as camera? Had trouble with Google Now on EOS on Xoom.

A happy user from your earlier ICS rom and this one seems to work just as well. Thanks again!

did wipe - loaded right over latest eos, installed gapps rebooted.

Your all over the place, great work and thanks as always.

Thanks for this.
Installed Rom and apps no issues.
Couple of things I noticed.
On initial start up, it says it is skipping Wifi setup, then takes you to the Wifi setup screen.
Love the battery icon, but the Network icon is still there, any chance you could remove that ?
I like that you have included a file manager, I keep my backups on the external card. It was a bit of a pain as I had to go to the market to get Es file manager just to get to the External card with the other rooms.
Wallpapers are a nice touch but I find they do not scale correctly ? That's why I have to use Wallpaper Slide show to sort out scaling ?
Have not tried OTG yet, but I feel its an app issue to get that working for large internal drives.
Seems to be a problem with the md5 checksum for the rom. I've downloaded the file on 2 computers and on my Xoom. All three report a checksum of B6C410298E5816E3DE1AB206FC1BFBE5. Not a match. Well, going to assume the one in the OP is incorrect and flash it anyway. It's the old no pain, no gain thing I guess.
Flashed and up and running. Haven't been running it long enough to check everything out but I like what I see so far. Very responsive and running smooth.
Thanks for the ROM kejar. Nice, just as one would expect from you. Only thing I know of so far that could use a little tuning is that md5 sum in the OP. . Thanks again.
So great to see you on the xoom cant wait for all the awesomeness to come
Looks promising. Hope for working 3g soon. Installing on my xoom now.

May I ask if deep sleep is fixed. Only one build of ics I flashed had it (confirmed by cpuspy). But all later builds from that developer no longer had it. And I can't remember/find it. Thanks

Flashed this over EOS (40 I think) and now my Xoom is in safe mode. Is that normal, and how do I go back to the kernel that EOS uses, just reinstall the latest nightly through CWM?
Had kernal installed overnight and cpuspy reports deep sleep isn't being used. :-(

This is a work in progress...
I am not responsible if you flash this and your device gets bricked or anything happens to your device from flashing this.
Instructions:
1. !!!MAKE A BACKUP!!!
2. Flash the kernel.
3. Wipe cache / Dalvik
4. Enjoy and post results!
This is a OC/UC/UV enabled kernel, build from TMO Samsung JB(4.1) Source. Am just learning the basics and this is my first job! Hope you like and enjoy!!
Note: My desire is stock reliability with oc/uc/uv benefits. This kernel wont have all the bells and whistles, my goal is a daily driver beast. Enjoy and hit thanks if you like!
Tested on: FrostyJB v9
Everything i tested work(i did used samsungs source...)

Note: Am just a regular Joe, not a programmer or developer, i read KT's source and added by try and error(by myselft) what is working on this kernel because at that time there was no other stock based kernel with OC and i guess no one was working on one and that's what i wanted, it worked so i decided to share it on the place from i have taken so much. I hope you enjoy!!

AOSP JELLY BEAN 4.2.2_r1
Also included are some optimizations by Texas Instruments and the result is a BLAZING OS running on what is now considered an out-dated memory model (512MB RAM).
Most OMAP 512MB devices are not supported by their OEM vendors past Gingerbread (LG may be an upcoming exception).
This ROM represents exactly what is being pushed to Nexus 10/7 owners. Now you can join in the fun too!
WHAT'S NEW IN ANDROID 4.2
See for yourself: http://www.android.com/whatsnew/
(Note that we don't have a camera or NFC so some of these are obviously not going to work for us)
[2013/02/12] Download 4.2.2_r1 ROM here
md5sum: f4cc5efb6de779da93670fb48a794d64
PLUS YOU WILL NEED TO FLASH GAPPS AFTER
Jelly Bean 4.2 Gapps here (CM10.1)
(use top row CM10.1 link for 12/12)
WHAT WORKS
(Basically, most items I tested work, except I couldn't get the new swype-style input going on the keyboard)
[02/12] AOSP 4.2.2_r1
[01/22] Updated with new 3.0.50 kernel including better battery life
[01/22] Newest PVR/Imgtec graphics binaries
[01/22] Update wifi firmware to R5.SP3.06
[12/18] Fixed battery deep sleep
[12/18] Added multi-user login fix mentioned by NotShorty found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018146
Hardware Acceleration (hwcomposer)
HD Codecs (YouTube/Netflix)
Small amount of OTG (some devices w/ powered hub supported)
Sound, but no microphone
NOT WORKING
Bootanimation needs a display bugfix
Need to enable the swype-style 4.2 keyboard
I'll check out photo sync options
Looking into USB camera support (will probably be more useful when the 3.4 kernel is ready)
REQUIREMENTS
Should be running FireFireFire Bootloader 1.4a found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1632375
Have a custom recovery installed, such as TWRP 2.2.x.x+ or Cannibal Open Touch: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2025793
Easy method for both -> Use Smirkit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500935
INSTALLATION
RECOMMEND FULL WIPE UNLESS UPDATING A 4.2 ROM Use Titanium Backup to restore apps.
Download the ZIP
Grab the GAPPS (12/12 from goo.im/gapps)
Reboot into recovery
Make your backup (You do make a backup right?)
Wipe Data/Cache)
Flash both the ROM and the gapps .zip files
Reboot and Enjoy

Q: Where's the "Developer" settings menu? A: Go into Settings -> About tablet, and tap the "Build number" box about 7 times. That enables it.
BUILDING THIS ROM
[ It's a rough build. Probably not going to update the public manifest ]
Enjoy
Wow can't wait to try this out after work!

Very cool It`s been a bit quiet this should liven it up!:good:
Update
I went dirty bootanimation is cut in half for a while and clock fc`s but seems to run, changes will need to be made to the driver to get adb running again but everything I enjoy seems to work just fine. The clock fc did not persist after a clean flash but the boot animation temporary disorientation did. Buttery smooth.
Awesome
Will try this out later in the day, and can't wait for twa_ piv to integrate this into his builds.

Just one question: which version of twrp is recommended?
Thanks
Does this come with an upgraded kernel base as well? (I.e. in the form of new drivers / new features)

Please do a FULL wipe of data/cache when installing this ROM. It's needed.
I'll edit the OP.
You are the man Hashcode! Thanks for your work!

Hey Hash,
I don't seem to get any deep sleep on your 4.2 aosp build - at least according to cpu spy. The CPU is pretty much stuck on 600Mhz for me. That's on a clean install, full wipe.
Also, do you mind pushing your jb-mr1 device-amazon-otter branch to github?
Thanks
Sweet

Yep, I see what you mean. I'll have a look.
The device repo isn't quite ready yet. I'm still making tweaks to it.
Working beautifully
A few things (trying to be helpful, please take no offense)
- No Users menu in Settings, so no multi-user support. Edit: solution here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018146
- edit: see below post
- Any possibility for photo sync, despite the lack of camera hardware? I'd love to use my Kindle Fire to view the photos taken by my Galaxy Nexus.
Thanks for this. Keep bringing the AOSP goodness!

You have to tap on builds number several times to get developer options to work.

Yeah, I don't see multi-user support either. Not a show-stopper for me though. I'm the only one that uses it. Would be nice for when I get my daughter next summer though.

Sweet! ive been looking forward to this. and just to be sure in the post it says 4.2.1 but in the screenshots it says 4.2? any differences? And is their multi user support?

And actually believe it or not. its 7 times?
Couple of notes:
I'm seeing memory GC issues which look to be causing sleep issues. Investigating.
The "About" screen shows 4.2 but it's actually 4.2.1 because we don't have the missing month bug.
I need to research the missing multi-profiles issue.
I'll check out photo sync options
I'm also looking into USB camera support (will probably be more useful when the 3.4 kernel is ready)

I think its actually 6.3 kernel version 3.0.100 I used your lastest blasphemy stable source
You might wanna put that this is AOSP only, considering the kernel might wanna put the specific version this is intended for (4.2.2?)
