Max Payne mobile help? - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I recently joined the forums as I hope someone here will be able to give me some help.
I recently purchased Max Payne Mobile on my Xperia Play, and when I go to launch the app it asks me to download some extra data, around 1.3gb, I press OK then it tells me a connection error. Looking this up on Rockstar's website it says that the phone memory has to have to enough space for this 1.3gb data, and it says it does not work on a micro sd card. Well the play only has 400mb of internal memory, right? I have seen many others play it on the play and wanted to know how to get it to work? I have an 8gb micro sd card in the phone. Thanks.

It does work with a micro SD card

The actual app is on the sd card, but when I launch it I still get a connection error. And my internet connection is fine?

I don't know about that then, sorry

Ok, I downloaded the data from the internet, well I think i was correct. I put it on my micro sd card, when i load the game it still asks me to download the 1.3gb of data!
This game is supposed to be xperia play optimized? Not very optimized if you can't even down load it

Where did you place the file?

Well firstly, the data a downloaded was contained in a file called "com.rockstar.maxpayne".
I put this folder in the games folder where there were more folders with similar names, but when that didn't work I tried it in no folder, just on the sd card and it also didn't work.
Also tried in the data folder, still no luck.
Also today I got the GTA 3 game for my xperia play, also developed by rockstar, it needs to download 430mb of data when i launch it and it seems to be downloading that fine, and it must be downloading it to the sd card.

check the mobilephonetlak ...

When you placed the file in Android--->data, what did it say when launching the game?

I found out I put the folder in the wrong data folder (there were two on my sd card)
Seems to work now, thanks for all your help!

Spotify Exporter

Hi.
Is there anyway to export music from Spotify to SD card?
Ermm, it's all stored on the SD card by default.
If you mean you want to rip individual songs then no, that cant be done (for obvious reasons).
Well that sucks lol. When my premium runs out does that mean I can't listing to my offline playlists either?

What exactly are the issues your having? Can you elaborate?
Are they not being recognized, are they skipping, audio screwed... what's happening cause their shouldn't be issues I run 720p + 1080p Movies from my SD card to MHL to The plasma and it runs flawless, video and surround audio.

I keep getting Unable to play video When selecting a Movie from the external sd card. They Just wont Play at all. They will play from the device internal Storage. I am Simply trying to ask if anyone knows what I Might be able to do because have Some large Video files and it Would be a pain to transfer it to the device every time. I have attached Photos below: The 1st two are from the external Which Shows A total play time of 00:00:00
The 3rd photo shows 4 movies on the Internal device Storage. Those play perfectly.

I would try switching to h/w adio or h/w decoder. And my personal opinion, shorten your file names as in... starwarsempirestrikesback.avi to something like SWESB.avi or SWV.avi

Google play music to sd card?

Hey guys! I've looked all around but can not find out how to find my offline storage of music and put on my sd card.
I remember a couple weeks ago finding threads on how to do it. But can't seem to find any now.
So does anyone know how I could move my offline music on Google play to my sd card so move it to my comp and what not.

You have the ability to download them on the PC. Just login to your Play Music account, you'll see the option there.

Sorry haha I meant internal storage. Are they any ways to. Take the files that are saved/cached on my phone and make it accessible. To where as I could play it from any music apps like winamp

[Q] Insufficient Space

I have just bought a LG G Pad (Non GPE) to replace my old Ipad 2. I have added a Sandisk Class 10 32gb micro sd.
Generally very happy with it except when I try to install any large app such as games, I get an "Insufficient Space" error.
I have installed a few small apps but I should still have space available.
Under storage in settings you need to see what is taking up your space if you have music or videos you need to use file manager and move them to that SD card because we can't install apps onto the SD card unless your rooted and have the mod or molded Rom. But I have several games on mine with plenty of space

Care to share which Rom/mod you use to move apps to SD card?
Thanks!

Please Help!

If I install MC4 first I can't install MC5 and if I install MC5 first I can't install MC4 to my ZF2. Why is this happening?
Sent from my Asus Zenfone 2 using XDA Free mobile app
Yes, it happens with me too. Two gameloft games cannot be installed at the same time.
But sometimes it works, if I install the first game in internal storage and the next game in SD card

I tried it but I installed mc5 first and move to the sd card after I tried to install mc4 to the internal storage but it didn't work too.
