Issue playing videos via extsd - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hi all I didn't see anything about this but I am having issues playing videos from my external sd card. When they are on the device storage I can play them fine. I would hate to transfer a movie over everytime I wanted to watch a movie. Ant suggestions?
My info:
SPH-L900
Synergy rom ma7
Persues kernel a33
64gb sdhc formatted to exfat

What exactly are the issues your having? Can you elaborate?
Are they not being recognized, are they skipping, audio screwed... what's happening cause their shouldn't be issues I run 720p + 1080p Movies from my SD card to MHL to The plasma and it runs flawless, video and surround audio.

I keep getting Unable to play video When selecting a Movie from the external sd card. They Just wont Play at all. They will play from the device internal Storage. I am Simply trying to ask if anyone knows what I Might be able to do because have Some large Video files and it Would be a pain to transfer it to the device every time. I have attached Photos below: The 1st two are from the external Which Shows A total play time of 00:00:00
The 3rd photo shows 4 movies on the Internal device Storage. Those play perfectly.

I would try switching to h/w adio or h/w decoder. And my personal opinion, shorten your file names as in... starwarsempirestrikesback.avi to something like SWESB.avi or SWV.avi

I know rockplayer plays a list of movie formats. I used that when I first started using android, but I don't play video files on my phone anymore, or atleast not for the past few months so I'm not sure if there's anything better or not.

In app video problem

I was wondering if anyone knew a fix for this. When I go into apps like ign and there is a video to watch I can't get the video to play and go into media format. Usually all I can get is the sound from the video. Is there any app or Rom I can download to fix this?

Are you using stock player? I use MX player and it works great

I just downloaded the pro version of mx player and I still am having that issue. For example if you download the free ign app in the play store then click reviews in the app, then let's say you click black Ops 2 in the review section, and then proceed to try and watch the video at the top it will not play except for maybe audio.

It sounds like codec problem. I know MX has different codec downloads in the play store. I just never had this issue before

Tried every codec and still not working. Is anyone able to download the ign app to see if it's just me or the app itself? If anyone downloads it go into reviews>black ops 2>click the video at the top of the review and see if you can get it to work

Why struggle with getting the app to work when you get the same experience when you goto ign.com? Plus I got the video to play just fine from the browser... good luck!
edit: the video did not play from the app for me either
The app is more convenient plus I've had this problem in other apps with videos attached

I'm guessing these are just app problems with bad development

Dear stuattravs,
I dont have an enigma device right now but in past i have used VPLAYER to stream HD content from enigma2 to my note1... i can say that hd streaming is not as stable as sd ones... Maybe latest version of vplayer can do the trick... Hope this helps...
Regards...

On the right track here picture is spot on with vplayer ie no stuttering but now the sound isn't in sync.
Could be an image issue is suppose.

Any one know what's the best way to add movies on the N2

Will like to see how they play back on this huge screen any one with the right tools for this job settings and all software thanks

Im saving music videos from youtube right on my note2. If hd resolution is available I choose 720p (720x1280) to match screen resolution and to save space on memory card. Only downside of saving videos on note is that I have to be on wifi to have hi def available. Playback is perfect using stock player.
