[Q] Please i have Question about [Rom][13/04]KA14 Ice Cream Sony

i'm sorry for putting this question here because of the xda rules as a new member i can't post on the original thread !
i have only one question does this rom support arabic language
& dose it support the 3d camera shoots and it is possible to use doomloard kernel with it i saw may topics said it has a very good battery life

actullay i will apply it for my friend's arc s and need to be sure of this things first
i have x1 i will sell it this month and buy arc s i love sony ericsson and when they produced the xperia s i didn't like this internal memory and battry thing

if u gonna use doom kernel you need to unlock your bootloader .then install the ICS then.by the way u need a charging cycle for 1 week or more ,cause this phone is good for battery life it takes me 2days medium use

ok i know how to unlock BL and flash this rom, about this charging cycle i must do it before flashing if my phone is new or after flashing

i think theirs no problem at all about the charging cycle if u gonna flash the Rom

I root this device useing LT15i_4.0.1.A.0.283_Generic_Global_system.img file.. then i want to flash ICS ROM..so that i flash DADLE ARC O ROM..but its Stuck.. then i Flash LT18i_4.1.A.0.562_Generic.ftf for official ICS update useing flash tool.. But its Stuck on sony logo and .. now what can i do... plz plz plz HELP.... am crying...what can i do..plz details describe ....

We'll do this from beginning!
First before going to ICS let's make sure your phone does work, so flash the .283 img file you have using fastboot to get your device working in GB..

dear all Xperian ..... i stuck in big (small) problem.... but i found solution...
after flashing many ROMS and Kernels ... then my ARC stuck on SONY LOGO.. and the i use stock GB 2.3.4.img file for get back into stock ROM.. its not Working.... then ....
....Simple i Flash LT15i_4.1.B.0.431_Generic.Central.Europe its mean the Official ICS 4.0.4 Using Flash tool ... and i made it.. now my arc is official ICS 4.0.4 and its so fast and so smooth....

Xperia arc s won't boot
Hi,
I have similar problems and i thought that this discussion is similar..
So I have downloaded Ram Manager PRO, which by-the-way works fantastic, but I have played with VM Heap size. First of all I set 48m, and after 2 days I was experimenting and set VM Heap size to 32. Than my phone rebooted, but stuck at sony logo. PC doesn't recognize the phone, if I press and hold back button while I plug the phone, the pc sony companion recognize just SONY/SONY ERICSSON PHONE. Neither do I use flashtools. I'm stucked. Had anybody similar problem?or maybe somebody knows what's wrong?
I have rooted xperia arc s, 4.0.3, doomlord's kernel.

may phone doesn't work, and I really don't know what's wrong. I read about too low VM Heap size won't be enough to phone boot, but in defoult is set to 32m, so...

just check my post.. what i mention on my previous post bro... just download any of Official ICS f.t.f file ...and use FLASH Tool (updated) ...for flashing ur ARC..... but one thing...you must install your ARC driver on pc to recognize your phone by flash tool.... just do it...

every try in flashtools is useless, because i can't do anything that my pc would recognize the phone..arrr

USE WINDOWS 7 and Install the driver of ur Xperia ARC Correctly... Phone Must Be Detected by ur Laptop/PC try

thx you zenith for help, but didn't worked out. I went to sony service station and told them that my phone won't boot. They just asked me if I have warranty and I do, so they fixed problem in 1 day, with no charge

advance i get started with the topic i must say im not english and im very new in this forum, so please forgive me little mistakes like using the wrong thread or something like this
so now to topic.
I own the Sony Ericsson Arc S, its all ready rooted and modded.
since the Google I/O 2012 a few days ago, im realy in love with the pure android feeling with out manufacture specific launcher like Xperia home, htc sence or so. :victory:I'd like to have the pure google nexus experience right on my arc s.
I don't want jelly bean pls don't missunderstand, im searching for ICS.
Is there any way to get the pure nexus ICS feeling on my arc s ?
i searched allready in here, but the only thing i found was the other direction to get xperia on nexus ( WTH ?! who wants? xD )

all you have to do is install CM9 on your arc s....it is based on AOSP..so it will look same like google nexus OS

No dude.. Process is same for all custom roms.. Only files r different..
First flash kernel
Then flash baseband
Then flash the rom through recovery
Then flash Google Apps.
It might sound complicated but if u do these step by step I am sure u will see its easy. So now first search for how to flash kernel. M out now or else I could've sent u links.

another thing. what is the " cm9.0 GAPPS ADDON " are this the google apps you meant ?

GAPPS is the Google apps like gmail, the play store etc.
It is essential for you to flash it.

- LT18i LT18i_4.1.B.0.431_BB72 Baseband
- FXP127-cm-9-20120630-UNOFFICIAL-anzu ROM
- Kernel left -> where can i get the right one? in the thread linked at the top of these thread i only found thes 3 things but the kernel left

Hi,may I suggest JJ hybrid rom 3.1 which is basically still sony stock rom but with AOSP experience..in other words you will get pure google experience and at the same time everything works includng bravia engine and xloud,trust me..arc's speaker is way too quiet without xloud...it is also the fastest and stable rom for me..battery life is great compared to cm9..and for the kernel try arcknight 3.3 stock for performance n battery life..that's all

its nice from you get me this tip but the status of flashing new rom is by putting the usb cable in to my arc, more i can't do for now, i never done that before. i only read words like fastboot and so but i dont find any tut that tells my what it is.
but i think i will get the CM9. and xloud aren't used by me anyway so i dont need.
And the bravia engine don't make a big difference i guess.
but back to my problem, i cant find the right kernel for my arc because i don't know for what what I'm looking for. is the kernel including in the Rom zip !? I'm totally confused and perplexed
if i got these, then i can searching a tutorial how to flash it, but for now i got nothing to flash, so a tut makes no sense for now i must have the files first.

The kernel is there in the FXP package. It will be the boot.img file.

i dont get it. how can i install the kernel first, if the kernel is same file as the rom ?
if i go to CWM and install form zip and select the rom with the kernel i cant choose kernel i must choose the hole zip. i dont understand it. how can i separate between kernel and rom if its the same file?
i searched in google and youtube: " flash android kernel " but i don't find any good tutorial, only a lot of tuts that left out mayor facts and steps or other wise i dont find any noob tutotials.
my nerves are ending in a nuclear meltdown. i got any facts and files i must have but they are swimming around like a letter soup
im not english or american that makes the hole thing for me double hard, particularly i dont understand video tut's because of the extrem bad voice quality and any kind of american slang or migrated american slang. so youtube tutorials complete out of use for me and google dont like me too seem so.
while im trying to unlock my bootloader, anything worked fine, but for now it doesnt boot anymore. pls guy can any body help me

i had a problem with offline charge on jellybean .211
but after a few try's it's worked and booted and charged normally
i had this problem many times
so i decide to try miui v5 rom :highfive:
and i said lets give it a try :silly:
i've used the phone until the battery get's to 0% :silly:
but it's not charging right now
sometimes it's boot alone! but it's say charging 0% then it's turned off :crying:
i'm able to flash kernels by cwm :good:
can anyone give a link for a kernel that charge offline and can be flashed by cwm :angel:
my english is so bad i know it and i'm sorry for it

[Q] Phone running mega slow, Not many apps installed

Hey guys recently no matter what ROM i put on my phone keeps freezing and locking up, Kinda getting annoyed with it to the extent of throwing it out my window, Any ideas whats up with it?
- Multiple ROM's and still same
- Tried simple things like clearing data/system etc
Any suggestions please let me know

Just realised i completely forgot to try re-flashing stock FTF so i will try that with the .62 pheonix vendor FTF and see what happens from there.

Firstly thanks, If i didn't need help i wouldn't have asked , I think i have fixed it now though, i flashed .62 and basically did all the above but installed latest FXP instead .
TBH i probably didn't "need" you guys to help me but i was basically hunting around for people in the same situation
