Does anyone know why Dsp manager keep force closing on the SS_Ultra v.3.1.1 Rom? I've looked everywhere for an answer. I need Dsp manager to work

Beats audio is installed. DSP and beats don't play nice.

Due to the pre-added libs and bin files, DSPmanager doesn't work. I promise you you DONT need DSP, the audio files I added are good enough in my opinion. Hence, why I put them in.

Hey guys I'm sorry to post another issue but I have to. Since I flashed CM7 DPS manager works fine as long as I use the phone's speaker but as soon as I plug in my headphones or the Jack to my stereo it crashes and won't load back up. I uninstalled the program that came with CM7 and found another .zip that was supposed to have been pulled from CM but that one crashed as soon as I enabled anything so I am stuck what can I do about this? Does someone have a stable .zip for DSP?

Using an Amon Ra based recovery, boot to recovery and go into one of the lower menus (can't remember exactly but I think its options or something) and select fix permissions. This helps fix most app related problems.

Using v2.3 Haus mod rev a it doesn't give me an option to fix permissions I went through every option and couldn't find one at least

Ok soap next thing to try? Lol I installed the recovery and fixed permissions. No go. Uninstalled DSP and reflashed CM7. Unchecked all permissions and rechecked them. Went back and fixed permissions again, still a no go keeps crashing on me. I'm getting a little irritated I've never had so many issues with a program before. And I do like DSP but volume + does give me close to the same benefits if I can't get this to work
Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
Last idea. Is beats audio installed? That always makes DSP fc.

That would be why I flashed beats to give it a try see if the hype is worth it thank you soap. Now how would I go about uninstalling it I looked through titanium and didn't see it

I'm not sure how to uninstall beats. You'd probly need a file manager and go exploring in your system files for the beats audio files. Then delete them.

Yes it is a flashable zip. Check out any of the team rejectz ROMs. Download zip, Reboot into recovery, wipe cache, delvik then flash. And boom beats audio blowing up your speakers. Lol.

There's nothing to enable. Its baked into the ROM. Any eq settings you do in your music app is up to you. It doesnt 'disable' the beats audio.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
Just out of curiosity is this also dsp manager? I flashed the beats zip but it didn't appear to do anything different.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Read the posts above yours. You don't need to flash it. It's already there. It's a system level enhancement, not an app. Use the eq on your favorite media player app.
Check out the rezound beats in the skyrocket forums. Just flash the zip for either AOKP/CM10 and listen to the BEST your phone will ever sound. Unlike the half decent beats or DSP manager, this is INCREDIBLE.

If u know how to eq music this will never be a problem
Lol I know how to equalize music because I'm a music artist and love to tweak. I'm just saying this installs better drivers into the phone itself and comes with an eq that is just amazing. Thanks for the comment though.
Lol check it out seriously.

I installed it and did the build props but all it added was the Dolby app and the audio FX setting.
I thought i t was supposed to add an EQ or something. I don't hear any change in sound quality from the speaker or with my headphones.

How does this compare to awesome beats? I can play with any equalizer to optimize my music but i like awesome beats' bass boost for my subs, it gives it that lower hum without the hard thump.

Honestly I think this gives a better sound quality overall. And as for the bass I've got to say that this EASILY beats out the beats audio with any kind of bass you're looking for. Bass is deep and strong and the bass boost is ridiculous how much of a boost it gives with clarity to add.
My advice is make a backup and check it out. No guarantees but damn you'd be missing out if you didn't at least try.

who said it's only work with limited apps? It's in the Root of the phone, when you flash Beats Audio everything you hear changes, much better
quality and clarity.
DSP manager is there to manipulate the settings.
flash and see, you will see the difference

I understand the basics behind both of them, running all stock PA 2.13 right now and don't notice any difference between stock DSP on or off. Has anyone flashed a beats on a JB ROM successfully? The ICS ROMs I flash work great by ear just on the phone, as well as, streamed or connected to an external source. Any input is appreciated

1) Equalizer app works with Pandora but does not with Google Music...
2) Some versions (latest) of DSP work with Google Music but not with Pandora...
3) "Ported" beats libs does not work at all on SGII...
4) Good headphones (like IE80) does not need any EQs...
Make your pick.

Alright, to be constructive, make an experiment... delete all beats *.bin files... leave only AwesomeBeats.apk, config file and cyanogen lib.so... reboot...

With Google Music you can stream from cloud ... you don't need to keep your music on SD card.
Google gives you cloud space for 20000 titles regardless of file size for free. I have around 5000 songs with high bitrate it's about 40GB.

Well, I got Awesome Beats installed, and it makes a WORLD of difference, however, after playing through maybe a song and a half, it disables, and the sound goes really low until I go back in, uncheck everything, recheck it, and restart the music.
I'm looking for dsp manager or beats or something similar that works for this phone. I've Googled and found a few results that either led nowhere or didn't work after flashing.
