**UPDATE** Bring life to your music - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Check out the rezound beats in the skyrocket forums. Just flash the zip for either AOKP/CM10 and listen to the BEST your phone will ever sound. Unlike the half decent beats or DSP manager, this is INCREDIBLE.
****Check the last post for the update***

If u know how to eq music this will never be a problem

Lol I know how to equalize music because I'm a music artist and love to tweak. I'm just saying this installs better drivers into the phone itself and comes with an eq that is just amazing. Thanks for the comment though.
Lol check it out seriously.

Oh and I don't know what difference it made because i didnt hear it before, but right after flashing I added the extra build props it recommended.

My sound goes out after flashing this... Not right away though, after about an hour

Holy sh*** i installed this and what a huge difference and just in time too as i just bought some ibeats..its like double the sound of awesome beats.

Which ROM are you using?? It hadn't been tested on CM9 yet.
And did you add the build.props to the phone or was it installed without?

Scroll a little from the top of the thread and you'll see in red lettering "official release v1.0" under that you will see AOKP and CM10 under each of the names there is a drop box link to each of the files.

I flashed aokp jb and added the build props and couldn't replicate the issue. I'm sorry to hear it didn't work for you...
And hope that works, that's the one I'm currently using but I'm on CM10 it should work.

I installed it and did the build props but all it added was the Dolby app and the audio FX setting.
I thought i t was supposed to add an EQ or something. I don't hear any change in sound quality from the speaker or with my headphones.

How does this compare to awesome beats? I can play with any equalizer to optimize my music but i like awesome beats' bass boost for my subs, it gives it that lower hum without the hard thump.

Honestly I think this gives a better sound quality overall. And as for the bass I've got to say that this EASILY beats out the beats audio with any kind of bass you're looking for. Bass is deep and strong and the bass boost is ridiculous how much of a boost it gives with clarity to add.
My advice is make a backup and check it out. No guarantees but damn you'd be missing out if you didn't at least try.

How can I get Beats Audio on The BluKuban?

Is it just like a .zip that I can flash? It can I put awesome beats on this rom?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
Yes it is a flashable zip. Check out any of the team rejectz ROMs. Download zip, Reboot into recovery, wipe cache, delvik then flash. And boom beats audio blowing up your speakers. Lol.

There's nothing to enable. Its baked into the ROM. Any eq settings you do in your music app is up to you. It doesnt 'disable' the beats audio.

Just out of curiosity is this also dsp manager? I flashed the beats zip but it didn't appear to do anything different.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Read the posts above yours. You don't need to flash it. It's already there. It's a system level enhancement, not an app. Use the eq on your favorite media player app.

Why beats and dsp?

I don't have music on my phone. I listen to Pandora while I'm at work. Equalizer app works great and its global, so anything you play will sound great! So why is everyone so crazy about something that only works with limited apps?

who said it's only work with limited apps? It's in the Root of the phone, when you flash Beats Audio everything you hear changes, much better
quality and clarity.
DSP manager is there to manipulate the settings.
flash and see, you will see the difference

1) Equalizer app works with Pandora but does not with Google Music...
2) Some versions (latest) of DSP work with Google Music but not with Pandora...
3) "Ported" beats libs does not work at all on SGII...
4) Good headphones (like IE80) does not need any EQs...
Make your pick.

With Google Music you can stream from cloud ... you don't need to keep your music on SD card.
Google gives you cloud space for 20000 titles regardless of file size for free. I have around 5000 songs with high bitrate it's about 40GB.

[MOD/APP] Updated 3/21/13 Custom Apps When Headphones Connected

I saw it asked in the FK23 threads and it peaked my curiosity, so a little searching and some messing around and here's what I came up with..
This is NOT my work!
First I want to thank xCaldazar from the Verizon S3 forums for his guide here
Edit - Thanks to Mattix724 for finding this - and to rickythefox, after posting this I found several posts linking to a thread that I didn't see. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1763441
He has made an app that will do this and he also has a mod for the sgs3
Edited the guide and mod I made out as the app does this flawlessly, just make sure you have an updated version of busy box
Was given permission by rickythefox (Thank him in his thread please ) to port his mod for 12 apps listed when headphones are connected. So here is the new ported 12_app_headphone_mod.zip - 249.81 KB
Also, I forgot to mention, you need to download the app rickythefox made here in order for this to work!
Edit- Updated to work with GB08/GB27
Thanks TD for doing this while I was stuck at work LOL
Also for being kind enough to provide deodexed and odexed versions:thumbup:

DSP manager

Running vanilla root box nightly 6/18 and I can't seem to get DSP working. I don't notice any difference. Is it the headphones or music app causing this? Using power amp and default gs3 headphones. When using my old HTC og evo 4g DSP worked flawlessly 100% of the time

Poweramp has its own eq built-in. So you may have to use it.
