AT&T Silicone Skin - Nokia Lumia 900

Hey,
THIS is a great little skin for the 900:
http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/accessories/cases/sku5870241.html#fbid=eMdRdWQGToY
Just got today.
Problem, a little too snug for my Lumia 900 Holster.
Figured out the 900 with the skin is about the same dimensions as an HTC EVO 4g LTE so have a holster for that phone on its way..

I got the blue one and it gets dirty really fast. I only put it in my pocket, but I am already seeing black marks on the corners.

Yeah, you probably want to get a holster. My corners are fine, but the very back is starting to show some discoloration from being in contact with the holster case. Man, isn't the 900 a bit to big to pocket around? I think the best pocket phones are the little ones with a slide-out keyboard. I used to pocket my BlackBerry 9700; phone did fine, but lint would get into the keyboard; so I started using a holster on that. But a slide keyboard would be perfect..

Review: HTC EVO 4G Seidio Spring-Clip Holster (non-cased phone) (MSRP: US$29.95)
Photo Gallery:
Easy to remove!
Tight, close fit to show off your shiny, new EVO!
High-quality plastic makes this one tough case and holds the EVO nicely!
Felt backing unlike anything that I have seen in a holster to protect the screen!
Introduction:
I would just like to start off by saying that, like many of you, I absolutely could not wait to get my hands on the brand new Sprint HTC EVO 4G. Also like many of you, the thought of scratching, dinging, or cracking my brand new EVO just makes me cringe. Also, the dust issues that the HTC Hero had drove me crazy, and I couldn’t stand having any dust in or on my EVO. This is precisely why I’ve chosen not to carry my EVO in my pocket (as I have done with every phone I’ve owned before) in favor of carrying it on my belt. The Seidio Spring-Clip Holster provides the exact remedy to my situation, and it does its job wonderfully.
Initial Impressions:
The first thing that I noticed when I opened my holster was the fact that, unlike any that I had used or seen before, it had a felt interior to protect the EVO’s large glass screen from any sort of scratches or potential dust build-up that tends to find its way into plastic cases. The plastic is very solid, and it is fairly hard to flex. Both the belt clip and the spring-clip used to hold the EVO in place are very sturdy and snappy.
Daily Use:
The slanted ridge on the spring-clip makes sliding the EVO into place a breeze. It felt very natural to just slide my EVO into place after just a couple minutes of use. The clip locks it firmly into place, and it even features a tiny groove in the plastic to ensure that it does no come into contact with the EVO’s power button (I didn’t even notice this until I became curious as to why it never triggered standby mode off). In order to make sure that nothing would become of my EVO in some high-speed conditions, I even tested some rapid, short movements to make sure there was no chance of the phone slipping out. The belt clip itself is able to be positioned in seven different positions for whatever you prefer. Personally (as a fairly thin person), I prefer to keep the holster in the upright position for the most comfortable feel. The EVO, being the heavy-weight it is, adds a fair amount of weight to your belt, but everything just feels natural. I actually prefer the weight because it lets me know everything is still there.
Conclusion:
I’d definitely recommend this to anyone getting an EVO who is either concerned about damaging their device or just wants a nice, professional way to carry (and show off!) their EVO. I find that it is worth every cent because the craftsmanship and quality of materials of Seidio products is second to none! I’ve never had any issues with one of their cases, and I don’t expect to have any with my belt clip. I would also like to remind everyone that there is also a holster available that is compatible with Seidio’s Innocase so you can protect your phone with a solid case and carry it on your hip to protect it from dust, dirt, and lint in your pocket.
I'm impressed!
I have the holster/case combo for my Nexus and it is awesome. Best holster i've ever owned for a phone the springloaded top clip is the bees knees LOL Plan to get this same one you have for my EVO.
I just ordered my case and holster combo from Amazon (half the price than the Seido site)
I had a holster like this for my Treo and really liked it, especially how it tightly hugged my side rather than sticking out like many other clip/holster cases.
The one question I have is how well it will work if you have one of those full-body super-thin skins (like Inivisible Shield or the cheaper versions from BestSkinsEver).
From past experience I found that the corners of the skins sometimes tend to peel away from the repeated sliding in/out of the holster. But I love those skins because they completely prevent scratches and add almost no bulk (but no drop-protection).
Hoping they get the caseless model of the Seidio holster on Amazon (less expensive and free shipping with Prime).
I can't take the cover off for the life of me lol
Any tips?

Thanks for the tip, ordered my combo for 39.
I just got this earlier today. Took pics, and was going to write a review, but I see a great one is already up. I really like this.
I wanted a Krusell case, but they don't make the style I want, big enough for the evo. http://krusell.se/products/1/?catid=50&productid=2854
I found this on Amazon, and it comes in a close second, for me. Wanted a way to carry the phone, but did not want a snap on case adding to the considerable size of the evo. Frankly, drop a phone with the Seidio snap on case, and your Evo will be just as well off, without the case.
Anyway, really just a bump to the review. I jumped all around, and could not get the phone to fall off
Great review. I had just ordered my Spring Clip and Phantom Skinz Carbon Fiber skin yesterday and can't wait to get them. Thanks for the great review as it seems I made the right choice.
Does anyone know if full body zagg or the like can be used with these holsters?

Yes. I have the Chromatic Carbon Fiber skin and clear screen guard from Phantom Skinz and it fits perfect.
Excellent write up, thank you. Based in large part on this thread I just got the combo set from amazon. I hope I didn't just get evo_rick_rolled.

you should be ok, might be a little tight tho
also, the holster will leave some marks on the screen protector... where the screen touches the holster on the inside. this is the reason i went with a hard plastic screen protector like http://www.clarivue.com/htc-evo-4g-screen-protector.html
over all i love these holsters, i have used them on 3 diff phones so far... i do have one of these for the naked Evo im not using that im willing to sell... im using the active case and holster now and i have the rugged on its way.

I haven't had mine make any marks on my naked screen. Given, that may be because there is no extra thickness from the screen protector and the case it just designed that well.

[Q] Cloth Case

Anyone know of any cloth cases for the MyTouch 4G yet?
Like a pouch? I use my old one that came with the g1
Sent from my HTC Glacier
Hmm, well I saw a weaved fabric case actually fitted to an iphone 3g. I really liked it but I don't recall any more specific information. I will have my friend pull it off and post a link.
Thanks
My fiancee wants one of these, 'cause she keeps her phone in her purse. She's using a camera pouch right now and really *anything that would fit an iPhone, camera, etc. should work for the MT4G.
I love the G1 case so much because the little side opening is perfect to put a charger in while its in the pouch

I recently purchased a similar case to the g1 pouch and love it. It has an HTC tab instead of G1 and from what I understand is more padded also. Mine is pleather though and was around $23 vs the $8 dollar G1 pouch but was worth it IMO.
I can't post links but the PO is:HTC S491

Cyclops Case for vibrant from Trident. general review.

So fairly recently i purchased the Cyclops case from Trident after watching
bobofosho123 video review and figured i'd make a post about the case and raise awareness of a good case
The case overall is great. It added the bulk and safe to grasp feel to the phone, without the case I always feel like i'll crush it in my bear like grip
Ordered it in White, probably a mistake as the white took on a dirty color to it rather quickly. the white plastic on the back side feels soft and gentle. And the silicon outer ring is great for what it does. I've launched the phone outta my lap a few times getting out of my truck and everything is all stars and sparkles still (good).
Has the built in screen protector which I have not noticed to alter the touch sensitivity at all, (also great at protecting.) And just about 0 picture alteration. The protector also covers the light sensor... which i have noticed causes the phone to not recognize it's not near your face after a call is over.
-so i cut it out- and everything is swell again.
The power and volume buttons on the side work wonderfully with the silicon strip over them.
**Couple other downsides for me, might have been the molding on the silicon for my specific case, but the tabs to pull the plug out of the usb and headphone jack seemed almost non existent making it rather hard to open them up.
And the seperatly purchased holster has been out of stock forever. ((((EDIT)))) finally in stock and ordered
because of this I put the phone in my pocket and like most silicon and gel cases it collects pocket fuzzies of doom rather well.
the closeness of the bezel near the screen does make it hard to bring down the notification slide. ( but i use the swipe down gesture in ADW for that anyways.)
After having quite a few cases, the casemate you can get at the tmobile store, the gel cases, some plasticy snap ons, just a generic belt holster thing, otterboxes case. I will stick with the cyclops.
All in all worth every $$ it cost. I.M.O.
I have to say that I disagree, I originally purchased this case and I was disgusted by the quality.
In my experience the built in screen cover really took away a lot of screen sensitivity. I had to apply a lot more pressure to type any of the letters on the side of the screen, even using when using swype! So I ended up removing the built in screen protector, it was no big deal it popped out with a little pressure.
The next problem I had with this case was the headphone and micro usb port connectors, the phone already has a usb dust shield built in so why protect it? They were just too hard to remove and I use my vibrant daily to listen to music and to transport files between home and school so this was another annoyance.
I used the case for about two weeks before I could not stand the bulk and the cheap feel of this case, I swear the silicone would pop out of place every time I put it in my pocket.
After everything was said and done I went back to my body glove case and used it until it broke because I dropped my phone while riding my bike then I ordered up an otterbox and could not be happier. Best case for the vibrant in my opinion, slim, no frills and plenty of protection.
Don't buy one of these cases it is a waste of $30, trident cases are nothing but poorly designed bs.
I also have the Trident case and am.very happy with it. It provides wonderful protection for me. The only
Issue for me is that it is not pretty to look at lol I'm s girl lol. The black and grey.was the best looking out of the selection and goes quite well with the Trigger rom I love so much. I like the look of the Otterbox and may purchase one in the future. For ultimate protection I would recommend the Cyclops case. No issues with the screen protection at all.

Seidio Spring Clip Holster

finally just what I have been waiting for
http://www.seidioonline.com/samsung-galaxy-nexus-spring-clip-holster-p/hlssgnlas.htm
This is very good news, been waiting since December for this...back to naked
nice find.
i've sent seidio numerous requests for a naked holster. i had one for my DX and loved it. now i can start harassing samsung about making a fully functioning car dock for the LTE since i won't have to strip a case off to use it.
It's up for sale now.
thanks!
just ordered.
I wonder if this could be used with phone facing out.
Looks good...just wondering if the phone housing will get scratched by the spring clip or the curved plastic that holds the bottom of the phone in. If you get the holster that works with the Surface case, it's not such a big deal -- but I'd hate to scratch the phone itself.
Thoughts?

Does anybody know if using this holster with a full body shield will work too? I'm worried it will peel off the shield from the constant on and off of the top clip.
I have been using this one, has been working good for me

I had a full body shield on my evo using the spring clip holster while it did work had a very snug fit, it felt like over time it would wear out the areas of contact on the shield so i ended up removing the body shield and only kept the screen protection on.

Good to hear this. Are you able to "snap" the phone into the case, e.g., stick the bottom of the phone into the bottom of the case, and then push the phone back against the clip so it is pushed up and over the phone as it "clicks" into place? The point where the phone presses against the spring-loaded clip and moves it up out of the way is where I was most concerned about phone scratches.
I like the idea of the holster - just don't want to have to manually open the clip, drop the phone in and then let the clip go... Looking for some I can handle smoothly with one hand...

I didn't have any problems doing what you described with my Evo 3D and the seidio spring clip holster.
I've been using the LTE Surface holster for the extended battery, but just lost the holster somewhere on a trip (anybody want to sell me an extra ). I'll probably get this spring clip holster since I'd rather my phone not have a case anyway.
BTW, you can get 10% off of orders from seidioonline using TW10. I still think $30 for a holster is pretty expensive, but I do like the spring clips.
Just received it today and pretty happy with it so far (no more case ) . I also had one for the DX and loved it, except on the DX I did have some wear on the bottom corners from the hostler . The DX did have that soft rubber coating.
The (whole) screen does not touch the back of the hostler, except when you push the belt clip and then it's just the very top of the phone that touches when applying pressure. One thing I do notice is when you lay the phone on the table (hostler facing up). The back of the phone is really close to the table. It doesn't touch it , but you can barely slide a piece of paper between the phone & the surface.
I don't know why, but here are some pix. (with the verizon extended battery)

My Otterbox defender came with a spring belt clip, for anyone who wants a clip but doesn't want to go naked
How is it un- clipping the phone from the holster?

Otterbox Defender for Lumia 900 Review

I've recently picked up an otterbox defender for my 900. I dont have pictures but there's a video i watched on youtube before purchasing the case.
First off, for those who don't know, there are two cases for the 900, the communter and defender. The commuter appealed to me more due to the thinner form factor, but upon trying it on, there were several openings where dust/dirt could get in from everyday use, and the inner silicone did not exactly fit like a glove. Also, unlike the defender, the headphone jack is left open and lacks a "built in" screen protector. (you get a typical plastic stick on protector) So i went with the defender.
Like the commuter, it is a 2 part case, except the silicone is on the outside of the hard shell enclosing the phone. Unlike the commuter though, the defender comes with a belt clip/kickstand. Not very useful to me but maybe some of you use a beltclip.
The first thing you'll notice with the defender is it is thick, and by thick i mean it literally doubles the thickness of the phone. It seems cumbersome at first, but i've been using it for about 3 days and im getting used to it. Probably not for those who want to keep the form factor of the phone. It does however fit in my pocket no problem. no Lin issues with the silicone either. Also, you can put your phone facedown now because theres a 2 cm ridge from the screen. (check videos/online photos you'll know what i mean)
I've had otterboxes before (iphone 3GS, dell streak) and the Lumia otterbox is a huge improvement form the older ones. Previous otterboxes i've had slighty scratches the phone when clicked together, but the Lumia version has a layer of foam inside to prevent sliding/abrasion within the case and dirt/dust entry. It's also easier to take apart imo. The bulit in screen protector is excellent (however if you are currently using a stick on protector you need to peel it off or else ur screen sensitivity will become utter crap (you'll have to press really hard).
The outer silicone is also different form other otterboxes, it's stiffer, more difficult to put on but stays in place. switches now have a more "clickier" feeling, probably due to the switches being elevated by the silicone. The whole phone is basically covered, including the chrome at the back which is nice for a change. The only things left unprotected are the mics on the top and bottom (speaker grille)
I only have a couple complaints:
Price - it IS a 60 dollar case with taxes and everything.
The touch buttons at the bottom are a bit hard to press; sometimes my finger doesnt register due to the risen edge surrounding the front of the phone. It is a tad bit annoying but i rather put up with a minor inconvenience than shatter my phone's screen from a drop.
Overall I'd give this case an 8/10.
I have no clue how you can ruin the phone's amazing design with such bulku cases.
I have the original Nokia gel case and this case does justice to the phone's design.
I bought the Commuter but it was a lot bigger than I expected. Well, a lot thicker anyway. I loved the commuter for the iPhone 4 but it's just too big for my taste on the L900. I did end up buying the Speck Fitted for the L900 and it's a great case without too much bulk, however I do still really like the gel case cuz it looks like there isn't even a case on the phone

Yeah the OEM Nokia gel case is unbelievably unobtrusive. People still have a hard time believing me that the phone is actually in a case.

Same here, with the gel case everyone asks me if there is a case on it, and when I tell them there is they comment on how they can't even tell.
I was tempted to buy the Defender just cuz I sometimes I need that on my phone, but it's just insanely huge to me, I couldn't deal with it. I am also a strong advocate against men wearing skinny jeans too so, I don't have problems putting phones in my pocket lol.

I won't buy this, you know.. Its like fitting your sexy Lumia 900 with a garbage bag..
If its smaller and thinner, perhaps I will consider.
