Waze and BofA Mobile don't like AOKP? - Epic 4G Apps

I've been on CM9 since Beta 1 and love it. I also have been following up on AOKP and some people say they prefer it over CM9 especially on the Gnex. So I took the plunge but oddly enough two of my most used apps completely refused to work on AOKP. The Bank of America Mobile app wouldn't restore from Titanium. On MyBackup Pro BofA said "This device is not supported" and closed. While on AOKP I couldn't even find the BofA app in the market either. Waze would crash 9 times out of 10 and the other time it wouldn't find me on gps no matter how I installed the app even clean from the market. AOKP seemed a little speedier but I am back on CM9 now, So Cal traffic is a beast I use Google Nav and Waze to get two different estimates in rush hour commutes.
Anyone else have issues with these apps, and are there any others?

CM9 is better anyways. Much better backend (might not have crazy ui overhauls).

Doubt its a AOKP issue
Well I've been running aokp for a while now. Currently running milestone 6 and waze works perfect for me everyday.
I can't say anything about BoA app working (left those sob's a while back)but I can find it in the app store perfectly fine. And Wells Fargo app works fine for me.

CM9 vs. AOKP

Hey Guys,
The Deedster here... I know that those who've owned the Photon know me, others... I'm a nobody on the Epic Touch Forums, because I have no problems with this phone... and I used to be on xda 24/7...
anyways, enough chitter chatter that doesn't matter...
I'm sure that there are threads like this but I want different perspectives of the differences of the recent updates of CM9 & AOKP...
TIA!

The only thing I didn't like about akop is when I hold the home button nothing happens. Not sure if it was just me but I like the recent apps shortcut.

That's fixed on build 32

Both are in their alpha stages, so of course be cautious when using them. I've been on CM Alpha 2 for 2 weeks now and it's been silky smooth with great battery life 15-17 hours.
Now I think I'm going to get a taste of AOKP and see what's all the hype about.
Personally, you can only try them yourself. Both are AOSP 4.0.4, and AOKP has more customization such as lockscreen, status bar, and nifty things. For everything else, you have to try it out yourself!
Vs Codename

I've been using Nocturnal Venom AOKP for the past couple of days and today I tried AOKP Build 32. I love how much you can customize on it... especially with stuff like toggles, lock screen, battery bar, etc. Not really sure about CM9 because it was always "too risky" to try, but I think i'm sticking with AOKP-based ROMs.
I like AOKP! I want to use it badly....

Aokp 32 is flawless for me so far. There's only 2 bugs I've found.
SMS doesn't send when character limit is over 160 (even with split messages option turned on and gosms doesn't fix it.) And the signal bars don't accurately display my signal strength.
Everything else is working and battery is the best I've had on any rom.

I REALLY liked AOPK but I had issues with apps not saving to USB. Everything else worked great, has several more customization options than cm9. But so far cm9 has been very stable...both are still in alpha so you can play around with both and decide what you like best since app restore is simple on both.

i could be wrong but i think the op was looking for a sort of list of comparisons like what are the major differences and similarities. it would actually be a pretty nice list to see as im sure a lot of us have been wondering the same thing.
Yeah, sms won't send characters past 160. MMS works great!

Archidroid was the first I found....then Philly.com...then several games....dunno why it happened but it did. Had the same result with the nocturnal venum ROM last night and TCP said it was an error he was working on. Think NV is based off AOKP so it had the same issue on both. TCP said it'd be fixed tonight so not a huge issue.

[ROM][CM9-kang] CyanSense [Sense 3.6ish][AOSP]

Do you like AOSP, but miss how slick Sense looks? Do you like Sense but hate bloat? Well look no further, here's a rom that might be for you!!
Welcome to CyanSense!
What is this you may ask? It's a CM9 kang with a few modifications to make it feel a bit like good ole Sense. This is not a Sense port, but more of a really themed-out version of CM9.
Screenshots
Check them out here!
What's broken?
This is based upon aeroevan's CM9. Whatever is broken there is broken here. If anything else is broken or FCing then post about it here. I've extensively tested out the rom and haven't run into any problems, it seems like everything works.
What's left to do?
When an official OTA or a working (i.e. daily-driver-quality) Sense 3.6 rom comes out, I'll probably stop working on this (unless, for some reason, there's still community interest in this). Until then, there's plenty of work to be done. I still need to theme the actual framework, as of yet, the status bar, launcher, and a few icons are all that's been themed. There's still plenty to do, but I figured I'll release it now and see what you guys think.
Downloads
Do not flash gapps, they're already included
CyanSense 5/18 (based on aeroevan's CM9 5/16)
Credits
CyanogenMOD team - for making the wonderful base for this rom
aeroevan - for bringing CM9 to our humble little device
HTC - for making Android look pretty
Sounds interesting!

Seems good so far, only thing i have noticed is the soft key lights turn themselves on and off randomly(enabling and disabling auto brightness does not make a difference) I havent tried aeros 5-16 build yet to see if they have that issue there as well. MMS, wifi and camera all work minus the flash of course but seems great so far cant wait for some updates to see where this goes.
Nevermind about the soft keys i found the problem does exist on this build just hasnt been fixed yet
This looks really cool, I may be tempted to try it!

I'm on the final stable build of liquid smooth built from 4.1.2 and love it. It's extremely debloated (less than 100mb) but still has tons of options. It's also insanely stable and obviously... Smooth. Mind you this is my first rom on the nexus, but it has all the options cm10 had on my fascinate.
Try them all. It takes very little time and it's fun. I also wouldn't stop at those. There are so many good ROMs out there and it's fun checking them out. You have to find out what features are important and what you're willing to sacrifice.

I would recommend AOKP, although they are currently still making 4.2 version ( WTF TAKES SO LONG?!) they have the same costumazation like CM10 just lighter and faster. i am using them for both my 2 phones and my tablet.
I would recommend paranoid android if your looking to try something completely new for your phone, but if you prefer stock look than rasbean or atom are good ones, especially Atom since the betas for 4.2 just dropped and if its anything like it was in 4.1.2 than it would be flying.
